Even were his beast form not of the type with teeth and claws, he made up for it with his words. Indeed, Warin would not have been himself had he not had a quip to bite back at her with. In her usual way, she kept any reaction carefully concealed. Perhaps those who had known her longer might’ve glimpse the micro shift, something which in her younger years might’ve evolved into a sneer. But instead, she maintained composure, focusing instead on guiding him into the movements.
He proved, as he promised, to be a quick study. With a sense of appreciation directed toward her pack member, she slowly shifted their roles. Allowing him to lead them through the simple series as she merely enjoyed the ride. Colors swirled around them, and she even glimpsed a few familiar faces. Perhaps the least appreciated of those was one she had encountered months before, prior to Warin’s arrival at the mountain side. Connor. The Immortal Commander. In the days when she had known him, he had murdered off someone close to him, someone who had once been a friend of she and her former mate. Unfortunately, the same man had also caught them at a vulnerable time not long later. Her mate had been spared of his sword, but the price had been her silence on the murder. “Have you heard of that Immortal Commander?” The words slipped out mildly, though she didn’t desire to converse of the man overly much. Fortunately, his ugly mug was swallowed up by the crowd once more almost as soon as she’d spotted him.
Through their dance, her grip remained light against his shoulder. Her calloused fingers were also dually light where they twined in his hand. In between her own thoughts and musings, and her own critical observations of their surroundings, she found herself thoroughly enjoying the lull of the pretty hall. The lights gleamed. No fighting had yet to emerge. People seemed to enjoy themselves. It made the idea of a true peace, perhaps if only for a moment, something which was imaginable.
Drawn back as he considered her words, her lips actually twisted into a small smile. With the request that followed, one of her brows rose. He wanted the bed? Well, perhaps that was a show of bravado. He had, without her evening requesting, offered it for her. Adjusting her grip against his hand, she followed through with his twirl, complying with the smooth grace characteristic of their people. “I’m surprised you asked for that, but very well.” What did she want? The thought jumped to the forefront of her mind in an instant.
“If I win, I’d like you to make me a trinket in glass for the next time I attend an event such as this one. Fair?” She regarded him intently.

The fanfare was not at all required for her but she knew how royalty enjoyed their parties and announcements. " Queen Luiniel of the Aelfmenn Kingdom!" cried one of the men posted at the door. For a moment she gave pause before continuing to make her way into the ball proper. There were already so many people here, people she recognized but did not entirely know. Her eyes fell upon the room as she noted that the king was asking those of title to dance. This was not something she was in a position to refuse. It was times like this she disliked having come with no one. No one but the council had spoken to the king in days, she was sent in his stead. After a few moments of scanning the crowd her eyes fell upon a face she knew of better than the others. The Elven Queen slipped through the crowd with grace, her gown flowing behind her. It was simple, yet well made. A see through fabric that was tastefully done in a way that anything inappropriate was covered by darker silken fabric in the shape of leaves. On her head sat a tiara made of a gleaming white metal set with leaf shaped emeralds. A tiny elven hand slipped into Arlyn's as his question lingered for a moment. She curtsied before him and then responded in kind. " You may have the honor, Master Arlyn." she replied softly. Somehow her voice managed to be just loud enough to pierce the music and she would allow him to lead her to the floor. " The King sure enjoys making a spectacle of things." she commented with a soft smile. While she wished for peace to remain she held doubt in her heart. " I am surprised to see you without partner. Did you too come alone?" she asked. Arlyn Norwood

He gave her a snort and a shake of his head. ”Okay then maybe I am just too grumpy.” He said with a roll of his eyes. Truth was he didn’t try hard for women’s attention. He was usually too busy. The difference with Noelle though was he didn’t have to try for her attention. It just happened. She was either there with him at the time or they run into each other. He never sought her out and as far as he knew she never really did him either. Their paths were just usually colliding. It was what made their relationship so easy to maintain. ”You like em dark and mysterious huh. Well I can’t be that much of a mystery to you anymore.” Not all entirely true she didn’t know a lot about him but she did know of him. He was no longer a stranger. He was just Romeo and she was just Noelle – despite her status in life. He however would never look at her different than the day they had met. She was that equally annoying mermaid as he was the obnoxious no good wolf. It was interesting though that he seemed to have had dreams about her. ”Funny to know the dream woman wasn’t actually a dream at all.” he took another sip of his wine after she declined his offer. Even so she still took a drink of his which he allowed. Germs were the least of his problems of what would kill him.
There was plenty of things out there that probably wanted him dead. He wasn’t the friendliest thing out there and he did rub people the wrong way. Most though just couldn’t handle his attitude. However seemed Noelle was doing alright…. Or maybe he was just growing soft for the hybrid mermaid. ”I like princess.” he said. ”Fits your pre-Madonna attitude.” He teased. That was of course saying that most princesses tended to be a little high maintainced. He wasn’t sure about the human one but the others he had briefly met though his life were quite the little dramatic queens.
Noelle had a nervous look on her face and it made him curious. What she think he would do, judge her? Just because he had a dancer of a mother it wasn’t like he expected Noelle to take it as seriously as with what he grew up with. She tugged him out though despite her expression and spun a little. His brow arched. ”What have I told you about spinning.” he playfully tsked. ”You are going to run into a stranger again.” He chuckled softly before grabbing her hand and tugged her in towards him. His other hand placed on her lower back but respectively. He didn’t need any side way glances in their direction just yet. He could feel his heart already pounding with the electric energy she gave him. His wolf was drawn in as curiously as he was again. ”Who cares. The point of dance is to enjoy yourself. Not perfect it.” He said with a hushed voice. ”That’s the best way to do it.” with that he spun her out and then pulled her back in, moving with her. He didn’t know the dance moves of proper ballroom dancing but it wasn’t going to be that hard to follow. Noelle Luna

He took her hand gently, ready to begin to dance when the music began to play more rhythmically. Arlyn was surprised to dance with the Queen of the Elves, for he thought that she would most likely be within the company of the King. But, nevertheless he began to dance with her anyway, then taking both hands as his body slowly moved to the sound of the music, his robe swishing back and forth like a wave. "Indeed he does," Arlyn tried to say rather quickly, hoping that none could hear his rebellious words. The words that followed then brought him out from his nearly contented state. "Yes," he looked down solemnly. However his glance briefed back up as fast as it went down, continuing to dance for otherwise he could not see where he was going. He didn't like to mention the fact that he was all alone, as he had not found his true love yet nor did he have any friends that accompanied him. However he knew that the Master of Fire was here at least... but he would most likely be preoccupied with the other guests, as he always seemed to have. Though, he was fortunate enough to dance with the Queen here and now, even if he didn't already know her.
Slowly twirling, he tried to keep up with the music the best her could. He was an old man, and the others seemed to prance around him with such vigor. It was hard for him to catch up, hopefully her majesty did not mind. Though, her words also encouraged him. Surprised to see him without a partner? Well then maybe he was expected to have one. "You as well," he said, referring to the king of elves. Quickly he changed the subject. "How goes Aelfmenn?" he then asked, his eyes trying to adjust to the bright lights than shone above amongst all the shining dresses. He was curious to see how the kingdom of elves was doing. He hasn't been there in a while, so he wondered how it was there. Last time he was there it was in great condition, as it usually was it seemed.

She liked dancing, always had. It was funny because there wasn't a whole lot in her 'royal life' that she liked and had taken to quite naturally but the formalities of dance had been one of the few. Gliding around the floor with him, she appreciated just how smoothly and quite well her chosen partner was also dancing. "Oh, do you? I surprised that we haven't met before then. I like to go out in the markets once a week and visit people." She twirled around the floor with him and continued to watch the people all around them too as they all moved. Glancing up she saw the look on her eldest brother and did her best to not smirk or laugh at it. Yup...she had pissed off her father, fan-freaking-tastic. Letting her eyes move back to her partner she couldn't help but laugh softly again as he preened at her compliment. "Oh that's good to know....Nice to know that it's not fake." Looking around once more she caught sight of the people that were watching them and taking in the sight of the two of them dancing and couldn't help but agree with him...they did compliment each other well on the dance floor and people seemed to notice that as well. "Ah. Master Ea then. Forgive me but the only other teacher from there that I'm familiar with is Master Arlyn. He likes to travel through the streets and perform little water tricks for the children....even when they are supposed to be working at their parents stall." She continued to glide across the floor with him and yes she liked the dance but she found that she was enjoying the conversation much more. Another laugh escaped and she grinned, "Well I'm so glad that I could be of service then." Turning her head slightly as she continued to hold on while he steered her. "Oh? Looking for something a bit more adult as far as entertainment goes?" She smirked at him. Ea Cailean

Justus would keep up with Connor later , this was a ball and he knew that Elysia wanted to enjoy it. Justus was king and he was meant to protect his kingdom , he always did so at whatever cost there was. He wouldn't think of himself as stuffy or unapproachable for the most part , but when he did have his mind set on things it was hard to change it. He did get his hands dirty , like those others that had fought alongside him and those that had fought alongside of his father. Most of the immortals were old enough to remember the war and then some. They never forgot , even though they signed the peace treaty Justus had not be a fool. He knew exactly how the king of the humans felt about everyone else that wasn't human. Of course as a leader he understood the want to see your own be on top , to succeed but what he had failed to realize was that humans could be fragile compared to their counterparts. There was no telling what a immortals power were , the strength of the werebeast or the power of a fairy. But that was not for him to worry about , not tonight. Even though he was cautious he was trying his best to have fun and just enjoy the time was spending with his wife.
Elysia spoke of having something like this at court and he nodded slowly in agreeing , " That does sound like something we should do more of. Court did use to be a lot more lively." He remembered a time when he and Elysia would turn heads during court. They had be so free then , there had been no worries then about becoming king. They were immortal and he just like everyone else expected his father to live forever. But he hadn't and he couldn't all at the same time. The parties slowed down and the liveliness had been missing for a while. "Remember when you would stir up so much trouble and all the noble men want to court you ? But you are mine. You were always mine." , he said as his hand rested on her lower back pressing her close. It wasn't him claiming her in ownership , he just knew that he and Elysia would end up together.
They never argued or had any mishaps in public. He didn't expect her to do such things , that would put a strain on their relationship more so then anything else they had dealt with. When in the company of others , he had to be the king. No one question the king , anyone and it was the way it had to be. The lines between himself and Elysia could not be crossed in situations like this. They could be just Justus and Elysia in private , but in public they had to give them a show. Not that he thought of it as such , they were just in tune with one another. They had spent decades together , what was one to expect ?

| Reach out your hands Don't turn your back Don't walk away How in the world Can I wish for this? Never to be torn apart Close to you 'Til the last beat Of my heart | Noelle shook her head at Romeo as he said grumpy , then shrugged slightly. " You may be right about that at least. You are a grump. You're not old enough to be so grumpy." , wasn't that the pot calling the kettle black however. She wasn't all that approachable honestly , neither did her being a hybrid really help either. No merman wanted to be with her and she had just met a couple of immortals , she didn't really know how they felt about hybrid beings. There wasn't too much of a welcome party for her kind , but she never expected one. If it was one thing her mother actually prepared her for was .. reality. That the world didn't care if you felt sorry for yourself , so for the most part Noelle tried to be optimistic but she wasn't a overly friendly person. That just wasn't her personality. Romeo spoke again about not being a mystery anymore and she stuck her tongue out jokingly. " No there a millions of things that I still don't know about Romeo , your still a mystery to me." , she arched her eyebrow as she tilted her head to look at him. Of all things , Noelle hadn't really dated much and she was still a virgin. Sure men thought she was pretty , but she wasn't approachable. Neither did she think that they really took her serious or thought of her as some plaything. One thing she was considered about was her body , that was her home and she didn't just invite anyone.
" Awh , I remember that. So I'm your dream women huh ? Funny how you say it so freely now , you didn't want to admit it before." , she joked lightly. Her green eyes resting on him as she smiled softly. " What do you really think about that ?" , she asked him as she stood at his side. He had dreamed of her , when he said it the words echoed in her head. She remember seeing the pictures he had done and his art was absolutely timeless , even though he had never seen her before that day he had captured her completely. It made her wonder if he had any powers besides shifting , but she wasn't sure how that worked at all either. I do not have a premadonna attitude . I am offended. , purposely being a little over the top. "Why can't I just have a regular pet name from you Romeo? , she laughed as she shook her head.
After she did a spin , he pulled her into him. Laughing he warned her about her spinning. "I know I love spinning though and no more strangers. I just want to run into you only. , she laughed then started to bite down on her lip. She hadn't realized what she had said before it had left her mouth and she couldn't take it back. She didn't think she wanted to either. He calmed her down as he told her just to have fun and she relaxed a little. Her heart was pounding what felt like through her chest as she looked up at him. " Thanks for bringing me. Its a nice ... change of pace." , she admitted as she laced both hands around his neck.

When the first dance ended and the music's tune began to play a different song, the fae giddily skipped onto the floor, pulling Carlisle as well with both hands. She then began to dance, jumping and spinning and twirling with all lack of grace. Eriu was by far not a professional dancer, only a swordsman but they only performed during parades with their swords. Instead she looked like she was doing a farmer's dance of some sort, looking like a bird hoping back and forth although she was smiling happily as if all was well. She was just moving her body to the music and was having fun with it. Then Carlisle mentioned her being beautiful and that the dress suited her. Her cheeks flushed red immediately and she buried her face in her hands, shaking it within them, stopping dancing. "Ahh, I can't believe you think soooo!" she said embarrassed, voice high pitched although muffled in her hands. Not too many ever complimented her, so it was a surprise. A good surprise nonetheless. She had spent a lot of time searching for a good dress to wear. She was happy that he liked it. Her hands then dropped from her face, smiling as she beamed, looking back up at him.
"You look handsome yourself," she complimented, now noticing the black attire that he wore. It matched his physique, and made him look fancier than normal. Although it was just now that she had even discovered it. Offering to take his hands again, she continued dancing. "The suit looks good on you too! The black really matches!" she spoke honestly, taking another look at his outfit as a whole. Then, she continued to twirl and swirl, her white and pink dress spinning around as much as she. "Nonsense! You are an excellent dancer!" she protested, doing some odd dance moves herself. Surely, she stood out from the rest of the other dancers. And most likely not in a good way. She didn't care, although even still he was probably a better dancer than she was. Or at least, not making himself look as such of a fool. After continuing to dance her eyes causally glanced around a bit at the other dancers, to see who else was there. Though she didn't plan on leaving him however. As she didn't recognize anyone she knew, her eyes focused back up to him again, the crowd beginning to become larger, forcing her to dance closer to him. She found herself bumping into his chest, then looking up at him. "Of course!" she said gleefully, then stepping away from him again. She would love to visit his office again, and to see how his child was doing. "I'd love to!"
The dance then continued on, as the melodies floated throughout the room. She was enjoying herself more and more, and the night was still young. Now doing some odd dance that caused her to shake her arms one after another in front of her, she looked back toward the direction of where the princess and her partner was. "Did you see the princess dancing? Wasn't she just wonderful?" she asked with wonder, turning again to him. "Maybe we can meet her!" she spoke with exultation, with the hope that they really could. She then continued to speak. "And that guy she was dancing with! He was really good!" She remembered how well they were dancing together. Though he looked as if he was born to dance. She was curious about him. Maybe they could talk to them and show them how to dance? Eriu would really like to. Searching behind her, she didn't see any sign of them yet within the crowd, but she knew that they were there. She turned her head to Carlisle again. "Maybe we can talk to him too! Oh I would love to learn how to dance like that!" she said dreamily, hoping that she could learn how to. Though she continued to dance along with Carlisle anyway, grateful that she had a good dance partner as well.

He took in a deep breath as he stood in front of the grand doors, taking a moment to compose himself before walking inside, his guard following after him. At the sight of the Grand Ballroom his lips parted in awe - it was so beautiful that he almost froze in place, but he quickly figured that people were in line behind him so he moved out of their way. He took a quick glance over his shoulder to check if Ladon was still with him, examining his surroundings before making his way behind one of the massive columns. Minutes later after his arrival he heard the announcement of the first dance, widening his eyes in surprise. Although he always enjoyed music a lot since childhood, he couldn't bring himself to the dance floor - he supposed that Ladon probably wouldn't be allowed to join just yet anyway. If it wasn't for him, maybe the prince wouldn't have attended this grand event at all, but now he was somewhat glad that he did. He didn't know if Ladon enjoyed dancing himself, but he would find out later on. Luhan hoped that the attendees of the ball wouldn't recognize who he was, and if they did, hopefully they wouldn't tell his father about who he danced with. Surely, such news would be a shock for the people of his kingdom. As he saw a handful of people dancing, he remained shielded behind the column, although maintaining his proper posture and his fluffy tail up to hide the side of his face. His gaze trailed along the crowd, a soft smile beginning to form on his lips. He glanced at his guard for a moment before beginning to speak in a soft, yet reasonable volume for him to hear. "Our kingdom actually had something like this, when I was a child.. We had our first and only masquerade ball. I remember being there.. it was a lot of fun, until I lost my mother in all the chaos. I was really small so I had to push through people, then I realized I forgot what my mother's mask looked like." He chuckled lightly at the memory, rubbing his nape sheepishly. "I found her eventually, since she obviously had the most outstanding dress there. My own mask had nine rubies that have been dug from the other side of the planet, one for each year I lived. I think I still have it somewhere.." He exhaled out softly, leaning his head against the cold surface of the column. "We probably should host a masquerade ball soon. Although.." he trailed off, his lips pursing before shaking his head in dismissal. If he hosted such event in his castle, he wouldn't be able to dance with Ladon there. But.. He tilted his head to the side. Nobody would know it was them, since they both would wear masks. That was a clever plan, as long nobody would find out.

Ladon arrived alongside the prince, following close behind him. He was wary of the whole thing, this ball. It was made by the king of the humans, or so he had heard. But, nevertheless the idea seemed to intrigue him. Perhaps there was another reason why he was here at this place. Not only to accompany the prince to have a good time, however there may be other dragons here. It was a hope, one that he held onto regardless of how hopeless it may seem. Even if there wasn't going to be any that were present, he still could learn how to behave... in front of the other races. It seemed to be beneficial in that regard, his careful eyes glaring back and forth upon their arrival. He didn't know if Luhan wished to go there hidden or to make his name be known amongst the others. Clan-wise, he didn't know what their relations were to the other kingdoms. Or even the other clans for that matter. Ladon had decided to work for him and his father because he knew that he could keep well-hidden that way. It wasn't very well known, or at least to Ladon's ears, perhaps he could be wrong. As they continued down the long hall that stretched to the grand ballroom, he heard many names be called. He didn't think this many royals and others with notable titles would be here. He hoped that he wouldn't be recognized by the others, for he had many jobs within all the kingdoms. But he looked different now, as he changed his appearance every time he changed positions to deter any suspicions of him not aging. He could pass as an immortal perhaps, although it was something which he hadn't gotten around to. The dragon was trying out many different kingdoms, disappearing into the unknown when he had failed at his work. However, he seemed to be doing well so far guarding the prince, despite his poor swordsmanship. But Ladon was working on improving that.
When Luhan turned to face him to make sure he was still behind him, Ladon gave him a nod. Then as they continued across the ballroom, he did not hear Luhan's name be called. Funny, but maybe they were so lost within the crowd that he was unnoticeable. Instead he heard other names being called, perhaps they were more recognizable he figured. He then followed to where the prince had led to, behind a column. To be hidden perhaps? Either way he didn't mind, standing near him as he crossed his arms and looked at him. He didn't care for the first dance, nor seemed to recognize what was happening exactly but from the corner of his eye he could see others being pulled into the center of the room. Oh so maybe that was why. He could understand if Luhan did not wish to join. He would be here in case if a guard did come back here but they were far from the center so he doubted that was likely. His gaze turned to Luhan as he spoke. A masquerade? It was interesting, and they had a unique culture indeed. Not many werebeasts held balls from what he remembered. But where Luhan came from was more sophisticated, so it made sense. He continued to listen on as he told the story, trying to imagine a young Luhan wearing a suit. Though he thought that the nine rubies dug from the other side of the planet must have been an exaggeration. His eyebrow rose at that. It wouldn't be impossible that his parents would have told him that when they could get the rubies easily from the Qian Caverns, he supposed, but he didn't comment on that. Instead he continued to listen, and his voice trailed off.
"Although?" he questioned, wondering what he could have meant. He wouldn't mind attending at another ball, though he wasn't familiar with masquerades as much. As a dragon he had heard of them, although vaguely. A dance wearing a mask, although he didn't really see the point of it. For fun not to see their identity? It was a wonder.

Larkin was still looking around like an excited child when Felix answered her. But it was the follow up that made her blush and look back at him with a sort of awe in her eyes. Compliments didn't pass between them often, they just didn't feel needed. Hearing him say she was lovely was enough to make her smile widen. She clutched his hand when he stood and didn't outright refuse to dance. "We can manage." She agreed still beaming. She was like an excited rabbit tonight, unable to hide just how mystified she was by all the beautiful people, the beautiful setting, her very handsome date.
All the common folk began to dance and Larkin turned back to Felix. Looking back at a few couples she would mimic their pose. Her one hand clasping his and the other resting softly on his shoulder. She chewed on her lip and then looked back at Felix before breaking out of the proper way of doing things and wrapping her slender arms around his neck. Straining up on her tiptoes she would whisper to him. "I hope its alright if we dance like this...." As she had since the day he had found her she reveled in his touch. In just the feel of his strong arms around her. That fact had not changed. She would slowly begin to sway, her lithe body rather close to her own. It might have been considered provocative for anyone else to dance so closely. But Larkin was rather naive to how her actions might be received at times.
"Have you ever been to a ball?" She ask Felix. Knowing that before his life had taken a harsh turn that he had been settled down...in a way. He had Eriu she knew that much. Briefly Larkin caught the familiar flicker of pink wings and she smiled. "I think Eriu is here. She's so light on her feet." Larkin was clumsy as could be but hopefully, even she couldn't mess up simple swaying. She turned her blue eyes back to Felix, the affection she felt for him easily seen in her wide eyes. "Thank you for bringing me to this."

Luhan noticed Ladon 's raised brow, playfully moving his finger to poke at it. "What is that about?" He asked, although he wasn't exactly expecting an answer. "Ah, I was thinking we could use the masquerade masks to hide in plain sight and dance, if we do host a masquerade ball. Although, that would be a big risk to take." He hummed, his gaze soon trailing down to the man's outfit. He seldom saw him wearing anything else than a guard outfit, and he had to admit that Ladon looked his best. "You look very handsome.. The tailors really did a nice job.. This suits you quite well." He gave a small sheepish smile as he caressed the soft fabric of Ladon's top, a soft shade of pink creeping along his cheeks. He then averted his gaze, off to the distance.
Was there food or some kind of alcohol served during this event? He wasn't sure. After a few tiring weeks that passed by, he had a strong desire to relax and distract himself. In fact, he was so preoccupied with adventures for a while, that for a moment he forgot that there was life outside of his kingdom. His eyes then trailed over to the dance floor. There seemed to be a lot of pairings dancing together and having fun. He nibbled on the corner of his lower lip, feeling somewhat guilty for hiding himself and Ladon from plain sight. He paused for a moment before turning to look back at him with a small smile. "Do you like to dance? I mean.." He made a gesture towards the dance floor by giving a small nudge with his head. "I just feel shy.. in front of all those people.. I am not even good at dancing. But..we can if you want to." He curiously tilted his head to the side as he awaited for the man's response, fiddling with his fingertips in a shy manner.

THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable There were many things that his sisters didn't know about him. One of which was his time spent in a pirate crew. He had already had a near miss with the jails after the whole street fighter thing. He was leaving for weeks to months at a time for Work and he insisted they not ask questions. More for their safety in case the worst would actually happen. After talking with the Crew and hearing their objections he decided to attend the Royal ball. The hope was to catch some wind of what happened to their captain before him which had been a good friend for many years. He just kind of vanished without a trace. Avander planned to be alone but Oceane put her foot down and apparently the invited herself as his date for the evening. Sefira was coming to the ball as well so he was going to have to be extra careful.Leaving his home in Dress clothing he still carried the Sword strapped to his waist. It was a fairly long Carriage ride from the base of the mountains but it was rather silent. The only noise was the sound of the horses and his sisters humming of ball tunes. She was rather excited to get out and be amongst others. AS the Arrived he could see Oceane waiting for him outside to escort her in. The truth was he had never seen her as a female in the terms of anything other than his crew. The woman cleaned up really nice and he was kinda caught blindsided. "You look nice," Avander spoke to clear the air and gestured to his little sister. "This is my younger sister Sefira." The was a smile on his lips but he blue eyes never left his view of the woman before him. ### notes

THERE IS A THIN LINE between what is good and what is evil I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable She was up rather early in the morning working on the finishing touches to her dress. her siblings had offered to help her buy something nice but she was happy with her ability to do it herself. There had been many pleas to Sophia to get her to go with them but she refused like the stubborn mule she was known to be. There was talk that her older brother had a date but she wasn't gonna let it bother her to be going solo. Maybe tonight she could actually meet new friends and even find something more. The truth was she battled with the thought of leaving her home and moving into a new home somewhere closer to civilization. There was a treaty and people didn't treat her any different as a werebeast anymore. There was nothing to fear in her mind. The whole ride in the carriage she Hummed tunes with a smile on her face. Once they arrived she had stepped out behind Avander . The truth was him being the man of the family it was his job to choose his sisters suitors but he hadn't really shown interest in that. Her eyes fell on the woman who had apparently agreed to be her big brother's date. He gave a slight introduction. "Nice to meet you."
With that said Sefira nodded politely at the woman before turning and heading into the ballroom. She could hear the music before she entered the doors and found herself standing off to the side watching the dancing. There were so many different people here and she was just bubbly to be a part of it. MADE BY VEL

She flushed red and Carlisle felt his smile widening. There was just something so…delightful about the happy fae. When she mentioned his own clothing Carlisle blushed and looked down at his dark ensemble. ”Yes well…I appreciate the compliment. I am not accustomed to dressing like this.” Normally he wore simple slacks and a shirt of some sort, he was not a very formal doctor to be certain. She began to dance then and even when he tried to keep up he could do nothing of the sort. She was leaping and twirling. Doing all sorts of maneuvers, Carlisle for the most part just stood watching her. The hint of a blush on his dark cheeks.
He could feel the eyes of people watching them, or rather her. He hardly drew attention the way the beautiful light footed fae did. But then she slowed down long enough to speak with him. He looked in the direction of her gaze then back to the fae, nodding along to her compliments but immediately bucking at the idea of going to see them. No no no. He was not going to see Ea, not when he had been staring at him like a child with their first crush. Not when the man had a beautiful princess on his arm. Just no.
”I umm….” He cleared his throat. Suddenly sweating. ”Please excuse me Eriu, I’m not feeling well.” And needed some way to avoid being brought up to speak with Ea and the Princess. He dipped his head to her then backed away. Aiming to melt back into the crowd as he made his way out onto one of the many terraces of the castle. Crossing his long legs he would sit on one of the sturdy rails and will the nervous sweat that had broken out on his face and neck to dry.
Maybe he could ditch the ball, he could find some way to waste time before going home…surely.
