Plot The treaty is the force of the ashes, extinguishing the fire of the war of yesterday. It lights the new path of tomorrow, but with tensions rising, some question if this peace will truly last.
Oedir had once been a land of war. It was the humans that had waged the war long ago, legends say. All races fought with each other. Kingdoms fell. Territories and alliances shifted. The divide among them was ever so great. Of course, there were the elves that had taken in fugitives, for the price of loyalty. The mages, were ones that were feared for their power, and had developed a school for magic on their own. Dwarves had profited from this venture, but had an everlasting rivalry with the immortals. Dragons were hunted down to near extinction. The merfolk took over the seas, making it a deadly voyage for any sailor. Werebeasts roamed far and wide within the lands. The fairies did nothing and attended to their own kingdom. With all these battles taking place, the undead soldiers rose and began to surge, only to soon turn against their own men. Devastation plagued the land of Oedir. The war was like a fire, undying flames of no end. But, soon, that had changed.
The Human King, King Irmied, a newborn from down the long line of kings, saw the destruction this fiery war had brought. Seeking to bring an end to what his own ancestors had brought, he went from kingdom to kingdom, seeking to bring an alliance and peace to Oedir. But some races had denied his request, and it was a long war, but as the toll of the dead continued to rise, and the humans became more powerful with their newfound alliances, the other races gave in, agreeing to the terms of the treaty. The humans would create a city, devoted to all races and the alliance, called Cendra City. The elves and fairies settled with their territories. The immortals and dwarves ceased their battles, and continued to build their vast kingdoms. The mages were confined to Lledrith School, and any born or found outside were to be brought there. The werebeasts attempted to find their place among the people. The undead were banished to The Graveyard and Beyond. Lastly, the merfolk ceased their destruction of ships in the ocean. The treaty was called the Force of the Ashes Treaty, and it had lasted for one hundred years, truly being the force of the ashes, bringing an end to the flames of war. The old land of Oedir was finally at peace.
But there is an itch of those who wish to rekindle the flames of the war. After the long passing of King Irmied, there are rumors that the current human king now seeks battle. Will another war break out? Or will the races be able to stand together to prevent such destruction? Can they stand against the test of time, proving the Force of the Ashes strong? Or will the ashes fade away with the wind, giving life to new embers? Only you can decide.
