Magical Ability:

In dragon form, Ladon has the power of mist and fog. It is of the water element, but he cannot conjure water in its liquid state. Instead he can emit mist out of thin air or manipulate mist from any existing water source as well. He can make liquid water into mist as well, however that takes more energy. The ability is stronger if fog or mist is already present, especially among the low rolling clouds. Its weakness however is dry air, which makes it harder to conjure. Although it is not an offensive magic, he often uses mist to shroud himself, or enough to make it so humid that they can hardly breathe, however in order to make that much mist would take a lot of energy.

Appearance:

In his human form, he took the appearance of a man that appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties. His hair is dark brown, almost a black, shortly cut and bangs swept above his matching dark eyes. His height is average to tall, and his body is slim, although has musculature. He typically wears his guard’s uniform, which consists of dark clothing, usually either black or navy blue, underneath some silver armor. At his side he carries a sword in a black sheath.
His dragon form. Enormous, Ladon in his dragon form is a dark gray, almost a black in color. His eyes glow white, and has a somewhat narrow-ish face. A multitude of horns protrude from his head, extending into spikes that run across his back. He has two fore legs and two hind legs, as well as two large wings. A number of spikes can be seen across his whole body, from his wings to his legs.

Personality:

Ladon is quiet, reserved, most would say. He is dedicated in his duties, and is quite serious majority of the time. Although, he does favor peace amongst the lands, and is a strong advocate for it. Though, his strong dedication toward protecting the werebeast prince might make him seem mindless guard, carrying out orders without a second thought, but he has his own reasons. Even though he is a guard he is not the best with his sword, although he is still training himself harder. Beneath the exterior, Ladon is more mellow, and perhaps a bit more talkative. He seems like an average guy otherwise, but however there is more to him than beneath the eye. He was once known for his wisdom as a dragon, for the many years he had lived. However, he tends not to give out advice or share any knowledge any longer, letting situations pan out on their own.

History:

Long ago, Ladon had been a dragon, alone in solitude near a river within the Dark Canyons for as long as he could remember. Always shrouded by mist, he had been there for many years. Of course, he had been amongst fellow dragons as well. Even some other races sought to speak with him, to hear his wisdom. He had heard of the dragon council, and heeded them if necessary but other than that he minded his own matters. He continued to live in solitude over the course of the years. That was, until dragons were beginning to become hunted.

Of course, dragons were hunted down to begin with, however then it seemed that they were more than ever. It was to the point to where their numbers dwindled into almost nothing, and even he became a target as well, even found within deep in the canyon. He flew, he ventured elsewhere. But more dragons kept falling. He was continued to be hunted. Soon, there was hardly anywhere else to run. Like many other dragons, he assumed a human form. Although it was not until recently, just around after the war had ended.

He tried to get a job so that he could sustain himself. His first job was a Bowyer, to create bows and arrows so he thought that he needed a rather lithe form. However, his time as bowyer was short lived, his strength often breaking the bows and arrows that he was trying to create. He then went to search for other work. He tried his hand at being a baker, cobbler, horse attendant, and other jobs. Alas, he kept failing at every single one of them, not fully comprehending the lives of humans despite his wisdom of a dragon. Despite this, he continued to try for many years, going across kingdom to kingdom to find his place in work.

Recently, he thought he should try and become a guard, despite the fact that he had hardly any knowledge of usage of weapons. It was better than being a soldier, in his mind, as most guards just stood there. Still, he tried to train himself, making sure that he was fit enough in order to perform his duties. He learned the ways of the sword, however he was still not that efficient with it. But since his skills were in order he then placed himself up for hire. He waited for a long time, no one had hired him. Until, he was approached by a messenger saying that a leader of one of the werebeast clans was interested. Apparently he needed a guard for his son, a prince. Ever since then, Ladon had guarded the prince devotedly, planning to not falter in his current position.

He continued to protect and watch over the prince for a while now, not failing his duties as a guard unlike his other jobs so far. He also become devoted to the prince, for he has shown kindness and is and advocate for peace. He made it his not only his professional, but personal duty to protect him, no matter the cost, even at the risk of his own life.

There are some rumors that he has romantic relations with the prince.

As of late there had been rumors around the clan that there was a dragon sighting, so there has been another guard assigned to the prince as well, Salil, a merfolk.

In the past he would assume a different hair color after long periods of time, to avoid being discovered about his true identity.

He has a really good singing voice, as in the past he was a bard for a while.

He makes up many surnames when asked, depending on what he lies about his backstory is.
