Rhiannon was stunned when the guard refused to do what she said.. these were innocent lives. She wasnt stunned in surprise but in anger, "No. You answer to the royal family and I promise.. that is going to end VERY soon." When she heard the man also yelling his anger at the ignorant guard, a man she was pretty positive was the King of Immortals, she agreed whole heartily.
Lifting her head she nodded solemnly, "Youre right, there's not much I can do right now with my injury. I'll lead whomever I can... Including any of your men that can carry the Were with them." She turned to leave and paused to look back towards the two Immortals. "Please... Once this is done...If someone can please let me know if Killian is okay and safe."
Seeing another group of humans she motioned them out in front of her. Pausing by the guard, "I hope someone does to you....What you just.did to all those innocent Were's." Then she leaned on the makeshift crutch and hobbled as quickly as she could out of the room and to lead people to safety.

Meridious was far too busy trying to take care of matters more pressing than the Immortal King, whom liked to hear himself speak criticisms mixed with his commands in the middle of an absolute shitstorm. Whatever the Immortal was saying, it came half in and half out to him, Meridious only taking in things pertinent.. The same was felt for the Princess. Only a fool would continue to harass someone in a time like this, so Meridious did what he was sworn to do and sheathed his mace, while leaving the sword out. He positioned himself next to the Princess, and affirmed the safe spaces located throughout. Other than that he said nothing more for fear of wasting precious time, time they'd already lost bickering back and forth between him, her, and the King of the Immortals. He helped up some of the wounded who'd been found by the Princess, and guided them as they made way for the exit.
(exit Meridious. I'll be gone most of the weekend and this event ends Sunday, so for story sake Meridious is one of the people guarding the Princess and some of the people who she found huddled behind the table - sorry for posting so close together).

Carlisle could do little more than watch the events unfolding around him, Eriu miraculously finding herself ensnared in the same magical fog as he. He tried to speak, to ask if she was alright but nothing came out. And then suddenly it was as if time caught up, the fog that held him released him so suddenly that he stumbled and nearly fell to his feet. He turned back to see if Eriu was alright and by chance caught sight of a flourish of familiar red hair as Ea was hauled from a table.
He felt…angry. An emotion that he so rarely felt that it was almost foreign. Forgetting the fae that had been behind him Carlisle scrambled to get to Ea before those men could hurt him. The king had been spewing venom about mages and werebeasts alike. So what would they do once they had him in their hands? A hard punch to Ea’s face subdued him and he was allowed to fall to the floor like nothing. It sickened him. But part of him was glad that he wasn’t creating more fire, making things even more dangerous even if he had been trying to keep the crowd from being harmed. Fire was a hungry greedy beast and it wouldn’t be sated with only the lives of those who stood against him.
No longer a threat and with many mages and weres alike still attacking whether out of desperation or anger the guards attention quickly turned. Taking that moment Carlisle swooped in, hoping to get him before the guard decided to shackle him or having him thrown somewhere. Carlilse slid one arm under his shoulders and the other under Ea’s knees. Thankfully the man was slender and although it wouldn’t be easy to maneuver with a body in his arms it wouldn’t be impossible.
He would have to check on him as soon as he could get him out of here, that was his focus. ”Hang in there.” He grunted and hurried toward the opening that a dragon had opened in the wall only minutes before. Stumbling over rumble but keeping his footing and hurrying on despite the angered calls from the guards who discovered that their ‘dangerous’ mage had been taken.

Connor dodged back, but not before the jaguar's claws made several purchases on his flesh. The wounds immediately burned, carrying with them the distinctive stinging sensation produced by felines that were much smaller than his size. Fortunately, however, while his knife was clasped firmly in hand as he regarded him, the ebony feline did not seem inclined to sticking around. Connor was somewhat relieved, when he dodged off, pleased that he wouldn’t have to kill another of his lovers... Until he became aware of the human princess' incessant complaints. Orders. It was cute. He cast her a headlong look amidst the chaos. The look was flat, and entirely unamused. "You don't are not my King." Despite the circumstance, the gore, the chaos... He wanted to roll his eyes indignantly. She did not seem to hear him, however, as she scampered off among the blood and chaos to help others. He didn’t blame her, but he found it no less pathetic. She could’ve scarcely helped herself… And then there was the matter of Meridious, dodging into the fray himself as he sought to protect his Princess. The very one he himself had spoken to earlier in the evening. He felt, internally, a simmering dislike directed at the mortals right then, as he barked an order in a voice that cracked like a whip. "If your King is not ordering you, then do something! Don’t get in our way. Help the people you all conspired to bleed tonight!" Casting a quick look around to his men, he drew his second blade, something longer and curved more severely than his first. He wielded that one with a grip that held it in reverse, curving along the length of his forearm in a more defensive posture, while the first was clutched easily, primed for attack. Werebeasts, whether rendered dead or unconscious, littered the floor by that point; dust, debris, blood, and bodies, too. Speaking of which... He couldn't see Solara right then. He hoped she'd slipped off. The Commander’s voice belted loud and short. "Formation. Evacuate the injured. Do NOT kill the beasts!" His assertion gave little room for argument, and indeed, his guards complied swiftly. With the terror and bloodshed of the evening, many had already slipped out. Of course they still had the behemoth of a dragon to contend with... but that would be a different thing to address. His eyes lingered on the beast; that aside… If she wanted to snap up guards right and left in her jaws, even if she threatened to bring the weight of the building down on their skulls, she could’ve. And yet she didn’t. His eyes turned, seeking out Justus from where he'd reprimanded the human guard who had spoken to Solara before, the same one he had snapped at. In a short span, he found his way closer. Quickly surveying the room, noting the gaping hole then created by the dragon, he was keenly aware of the fact that the remaining guards, beasts, and the injured seemed to far outnumber then the werebeasts which were currently standing… or the partygoers for that matter. He exhaled a thin breath, casting Justus a look. Of course, the man had paused to reprimand and bellow his words at the guards. Connor was less inclined to do so. In such a situation, short, sharp, and to the point would’ve fared the best. As for other pressing matters, he’d known even before engaging with Alvina that the Immortal Queen would’ve been one of the first shepherded out, traumatized by the sights or not. He was colder in that consideration, viewing it as an inevitability of her position and their long lifespan. Connor’s expression was tight as stone when he regarded Justus. “Those subdued will need medical attention. We need to commandeer the King and his family before they disappear.” His eyes fell quickly to the dragon, gauging, thoughtful. While she struggled, flailing and casting flame from the chandelier… No. That was a bigger threat than they had the manpower for in that moment. “I’ll give the orders; we should go seek out the King.” Helping people, assessing the injured – any of those tasks could’ve been done by their men. Taking a snake by the head, however, would require more than force or ability alone. In that vein of thought, his eyes began searching the ballroom. It did not take long for him to find her form, distinct among those soldiers present. Her ability, while of use here, would be more beneficial if they did proceed after the mad, Mortal king. It also didn't hurt that she was one of a few to match him in combat, even going so far as to best him with her weapon of choice. Then again... He'd always prefered to slice or stab, than to blugeon. "Niera!" A summons, his voice rang clearly. Meridious Risgar Rhiannon Dufour Justus Delago Niera Venrali

Fighting for the life of another Niera stood, thankful for her armour as she fought alone against the wrath of a beast. An ape maybe two feet taller than her, snarled and swiped angrily with it's gnarled long claws. Metal against fist, loud clangs resonated through the air again, and again, and again until finally it stopped. The creature had calmed, visibly battling with its own emotions while slowly backing away from her. What on earth was the human king thinking? When the ape had fully retreated, she was about to run to the other side of the room to engage with the elephant when the loud, familiar sound of her name reached her eats. Turning her head, Niera met her commander's gaze "Sir!" she yelled back over the noise and slowly navigated her way through the chaos.
Boom, boom, boom.
Her heart drummed beneath her chest, she had managed to prevent at least two of the creatures from a horrible fate but as her eyes returned to the piles of bodies she could only wonder, was it enough? "Your orders, sir" she panted. The warrior's crystalline gaze met the austere depths of her commander's dark eyes, they had not known each other for long and despite knowing he had less experience in the military than she, the soldier respected her superior; she could not deny his natural genius. Everywhere, the survivors began to retreat away from the bloody mess while those that remained sought to deal with what remained or give medical attention. It was within Niera's capability to save some of these men and women from bleeding out before a medic could get to them, what was so important her commander had summoned her?

Dull abrasive consequence saw the joy of this event turn into little more than a circus. For all of his faults the King had not intended this. From the balcony he watched the zoo of were creatures battling the mages and humans alike, and many of his own losing. "Fools," he sputtered and coughed as his men held him back from wailing down upon his own guard "Get me away from here!" Upon his command, the king was promptly surrounded by his men who bravely fought against the ravages of the souls that were trying to kill him. His eyes scanned over the battleground as he watched with remorse as the agents of the immortal army and the magi sought to fight against the bloody beasts. What was one a beautiful dance hall turned red, and his temper still writing. Inside of his own head the man cursed the moment he set foot into the throne room. Losses could be counted from all sides and it was the others that would have to clean up his mess. As he would have predicted by any frontal assault made by his race head on with a bunch of magic users, his men had been mostly carved up across the floor and the few that remained in tact, despite their bravery were foolishly doing their best to defend their King. His eyes briefly flickered to his King's guard, his daughter and the Immortal commander. For whatever strange reasons his daughter appeared to be in good hands, as for the rest of his family, he assumed they had already been taken. Another figure was approaching, a woman with dark skin and eyes like burning fire. He knew that look as well as anything, it was one of primal angry and he wasn't about to risk his own. Victor broke his attention away from the individuals "Go!" the king commanded and quickly passed with his guard behind the dragon and into a secret tunnel designed as a secret passage to loose others in times of great duress, or to escape the castle if it were being taken over. "Fly you fools," the King muttered angrily as his guard carried him down into the darkness of the tunnels below the city. He expected the strangers to follow, but at least beneath the city they were fighting on his grounds. shaecayrn

Luhan was preoccupied by staring at the charm still in his palm, examining it closely as he remained close to Ladon. The woman mentioned that it could be used to find her - but what if it could be used for her to find him? He didn't know what to believe, he just knew that the small item was really cute, having the shape of a small feline and all. He still wasn't quite sure if Shimmer's help would be accepted or not, but he'd have to take it into consideration. After all, she still hadn't told them why she wanted to help the couple.
He carefully placed the charm in his pocket, only to be startled as soon as he stepped in to the ballroom. He felt something instantly taking over him- he could only hear some chanting, but he didn't know where it was coming from as his sight began to get hazy. Oh no- He soon realized that he was hit with some sort of spell that could make him shift to his original form, but he was unable to control it. "Ladon", he yelped in a helpless tone, but it was too late as he already had taken the form of a small, white kitten - his clothes being discarded on the floor and the charm along with them.
Suddenly, his mind went blank. Something had changed inside him, he wasn't himself at all, but quite the opposite. His fur was usually straight and very pampered, but now he somewhat resembled a fluffy, spiked ball. His vision cleared up for now but all he could see was werebeasts growling, snarling, and people trying to "control" said animals. The sight set him off, as he felt something was really strange about this - werebeasts couldn't just randomly start hurting everyone, could they? It couldn't be their fault.. It wasn't fair for them to get the blame. But before he could think about it any longer he snapped, and he began to hiss at everyone that was in his line of sight, scratching at every obstacle near him.
Somehow he began having illusions, that the guards from his kingdom arrived here at the ball, they had found him and are doing whatever it takes to bring Luhan back to the clan leader. Although in reality that wasn't the case, the werebeast couldn't help but run away from anyone that even closely resembled a human. Surely enough he went to hide under a small table while keeping a look out for guards, swaying his tail aggressively as he yowled, scratching out at any foot that went near the table.

Ladon walked into the ballroom alongside Luhan, staring up at the show of lights that performed overhead, not really knowing what was going on. His head peered up in confusion, but it wasn't until Luhan called his name that he turned his attention to him in surprise, seeing that he had seemingly disappeared into his clothing. He then realized that he had shifted. Into the white kitten that had suddenly taken off. Reaching out a gloved hand, Ladon didn't know what was happening. But as he tried to chase the feline down, was when all the screams could be heard. The wails and calls of all sorts of animals, screeches in the room over the screams and cries of the people. They all began to run in panic.
"Luhan!" he called out, trying to see where the kitten had ran but at the same time people from every which way got in front of him. Gnashing his teeth he pushed them aside, moving forth in that direction. "Luhan!" he called louder. He didn't know what had happened. Something had turned all werebeasts into their bestial form. But why? He couldn't tell, and he couldn't see why they had suddenly started to attack everyone. Pushing more people to the side he continued to rush forward, trying to see any sign of white fur before it could get snatched up by a large and vicious predator. He hurried past a rhino that had chased down a few people with its large horn, then spun past more and more of the crowd as he continued to search, dodging the wild animals all the like.
It was when he spotted him underneath a table, and Ladon took no time for notice as he immediately headed in that direction, walking fast but paced. They had to get out of here, what ever was happening. He reached down to try to pull him out from underneath the table. "Luhan, we have to leave," he told him, his voice deeper than usual.

Her eyes followed the king as his men surrounded him and dragged him completely away from the turmoil int he ballroom. They disappeared and by the time she was even close to where he had been moments before, she knew he was gone. The woman wanted to scream a curse. The human King would be better off dead. Let his daughter step into his place. Silently, she hoped he had no sons. The mage turned, a spot of darkness and silver among blood and battle. Much of it had ceased, with many having run outside of now, in her wake sleeping. All of this was not what she had planned. And now it would be better to get out before she became a target. The immortals were handling the rest of the were-beasts without killing them, and she was no longer needed, no longer wanting to be a target. Her eyes searched what was left, finding Ladon crouched by a table. Without hesitation, eyes still blazing from her fury and from the energy that her body now held, she stepped to Ladon, shadows writhing furiously at her feet. She watched him struggle with a tiny white kitten, who she could only presume to be his lover. Amusement flickered, but her eyes and expression were serious as she came up behind him. Shaecayrn's voice was just loud enough to be heard over the remaining cacaphony. " I am leaving, before the humans decide to target me. Your precious love will be in danger if the both of you remain here. My offer of safety still stands." She tilted her head slightly at him. "Are you coming with me, or not?" A moment like this, high pressure, with the need for escape, for safety, might be the moment that sealed the deal. Ladon Luhan

He didn't recognize his name being called, being unable to remember anything as he only knew that he had to fight. He didn't know why, but he felt like everyone was after him and he had to survive. He hissed the moment he saw a hand creep under the silky tablecloth, making a sudden spitting sound as a warning before jumping back. As he saw that the stranger in front of him wouldn't budge, he proceeded to attack him, trapping his arm as he scratched at the thick fabric that was blocking him from scratching his skin. Shortly after the piece of cloth was ripped in three messy lines, exposing the man's bare skin.
He was about to bite down only to be startled by the mage near him, hissing at her before crawling behind Ladon's nape, supporting himself on his shoulders. They couldn't get him, they can't bring him back to the palace, no way. He jumped off the man, running off to the nearest exist. He glanced left and right as he tried to figure out which way to go, only to hiss once again as he was suddenly grabbed. He didn't know who it was, he only withered as he tried to struggle himself free and attack the person, his claws being ready to scratch anything they held on to.

His teeth gritted as he winced from the pain from the scratches of the claws, digging into the fabric of the cloth of his gloves however they weren't completely armored. Just as the feisty kitten seemed to have found an opening, Ladon's gaze averted quickly back to the woman behind him, only to notice that Luhan had jumped onto his shoulders and took off in the other direction. Standing his grave dark eyes gazed upon her, not really taking much time to think about what she had just said. It was true. All of it. Everything. Luhan would be in danger, and he as well, if they stayed here. The mage as well, considering that the guards seemed to be fighting them as well. With all of the things going on it didn't take much for him to agree to her request. He had lost almost everything now. All he had was Luhan.
And he was not going to let go of everything they had now.
Marching to where the white ball of fur had run toward, he quickly snatched him up, claws scratching as they clawed against his outfit, however Ladon tried to hold onto him securely, his hands pressing him hard against his chest. It was hard to, with how Luhan was acting but he didn't know what was going on. But he would not let him go. Pressing him firmly he tried to shield his eyes from seeing anything with one hand, to hopefully calm him down more. Though he knew that it might be fruitless. Still, he had no time to think, and immediately turned to the woman again soon after.
"Yes," he replied, ready to leave whenever she was.

She watched Ladon with a sharp gaze, knowing that his mind would be racing over his options. There were not many. It didn't take long for a decision to be reached, and the man moved quickly. Her eyebrow raised as he scooped up the white kitten, who clawed at his grip rather viciously. An interesting shape for a werebeast, but the mage didn't have much time to dwell on it. As he turned back to her, quite obviously ready to follow her now, she hid her grin of victory, and instead reached out gently and tethered a small tie to the kitten, pulling energy from him until the fluff-ball would collapse into exhaustion. She could not risk him ruining their escape because of being under the spell.
"Follow me closely then." Disdain came into and then fled her gaze. She had no time for it right now. One hand reached for Ladon's hand. Cool shadows crawled around them and then shielded them from view, leaving the sight before them dim and strange, like seeing through twilight. "We must act quickly. I've a horse in the stable, and we can snag one for you if don't wish to ride double. It's a long ride to safety." Her grip was firm as she led him from the ballroom, weaving between the last of the battles, and avoiding the blood that splashed along the floor.
Shimmer kept them hidden all the way to the stables before she released the shadows, along with Ladon's hand. "Pick a horse, Ladon. Before the guards decide they must close the gates entirely." She swept into the stall of a dapple grey horse, swinging a saddle onto his back. Her silver and charcoal gown shimmered as she muttered, reforming into something easier to ride in, though the material didn't change. It only took a few minutes for her to finish saddling up, and placing the bridle onto the horse. She didn't even lead him out of the barn before mounting.
Instead, she swung up, and waiting for Ladon before nudging her mount into a swift trot. Swift enough to make good time, slow enough to not be suspicious.
[Shimmer exit]
Behind them all, amid the chaos a small charm remained, shining crystal upon the floor. A small feline, blood swept forward to surround it.
