The elderly mage was making his way through the busy kingdom, dusty blue robes moving along the ground as a group of playful children passed before him. They moved along the busy street, causing him to smile at their antics. The scent of fresh food drifted through the air, and he continued along passing by the many shouts of the vendors to buy or take a look at their things. But Arlyn just continued along, making his way down the stoned path. His face was that of contentment as he looked around at all the humans who lived here. Such a pleasant place. So full of life and joy, one that rarely needed his aid. Indeed, the walls were highly fortified, these people were well protected by their massive amount of forces, not to mention the innovation of technology. It seemed that the humans were always the newest to create the latest gadget or gear, or to get the mills turning faster. But, it was the dwarves and immortals which usually took advantage of the discovery, often making improvements upon what the humans had created. They had smart brains, if only they had the riches to implement their ideas. Oh well, but Arlyn was a man who hardly concerned himself with such political matters. Not even he could tell the difference between devices made by the immortals and dwarves, other than their visual appearance and brand of who made it. But in the end to Arlyn it was all the same. Functions were the most important, to him at least, who made it he thought was a matter that he thought no one should care for. But, innovation and the market was something that those two competed against, even still in the treaty of peace.
Old Arlyn had come here, to stay before he visited Cendra. Not often did he ever find mages, but those that wished to come back to Lledrith School were welcome to travel along with him. Cendra City was a much poorer area, well, it looked nice but it had its areas where some races lived in poverty. He aimed to help them the most, as their water tended to be polluted in which only he could dilute. There were also many that were sick, which he attended to. But, he would still use his time here, if the need arose.
As he walked he hardly noticed the castle which grew and grew before him as he approached closer. The old man looked up in awe at its magnificence. How the strong walls still held strong after all those years made by their forefathers. It was impressive to him. Though the school for mages was hardy as well. Well, most kingdoms had strong fortresses. He looked forward as the guards denied entry, those who wished to pass of course. However as Arlyn neared he was approached by a young boy, who seemed to be in a hurry. "Sir! Are you Master Arlyn?" he asked, rush in his tone. He looked down at the boy curiously. "Yes, I am he. What is the need?" he asked. He didn't tell anyone that he was coming here in particular, though he did say he was headed to Cendra. He hoped that it was not an emergency, although it wasn't uncommon that he was recognized and was needed. "Can you show me a magic trick?" the boy asked, looking up with big puppy eyes. "Please! I heard you can do amazing things with your water tricks!"
Arlyn nearly rolled his eyes. It wasn't an emergency at all. Such was youth.

Wandering Through | Rhiannon was talking through the town because she wanted to pick up some treats for Barney but also for herself. She had never quite taken to the whole, 'let the servants go' thing so she would go to the market on her own. The agreement was though that if she went, guards went with her so they trailed behind....horribly trying to blend in and not look like guards which meant they were guards trying to not look like guards. She didn't complain though, because it was one of the few things that her father agreed to letting her do. Something about setting a good image and blah blah blah.
Walking to the little flower stand she smiled at the little old woman that worked there. Rhiannon bought flowers from her every week. "Good afternoon, Ms. Whitestone." "Good morning my lady." the older woman curtsied and Rhiannon turned and began collecting some of the flowers that she wanted to buy from her. Once she had a nice bunch together, she passed over the coins to the woman and smiled. "Always beautiful, as usual. Thank you...I'll see you next week." Lifting her hand to wave goodbye she turned and continued walking down the path through the town she nodded to people along the way. Pausing once in awhile to look at a little stand and see what they were offering. Buying something here or there for one of her brothers or herself.
Then she moved to a little fruit stand and bought one green and one red apple, like normal. Passing the coins over to the man behind stand she smiled. Sliding the red apple into her pocket and lifting the other to her mouth she took a bite while continuing to walk down the path. Then she saw the little boy bothering the older gentleman about doing a trick. Sighing softly she headed over towards him and paused to look at the little boy. "Zachariah Hastings....aren't you supposed to be at your mother's stand right now?" She raised an eyebrow at him and motioned with her hand. She heard the but come from his mouth and before she could say another word his name was called out and the little boy let out a yelp before running back to his mother.
Turning to look at the older gentleman she smiled, "Sorry about him. He's always running up to new people and doing that."

He almost laughed as he watched the young boy scamper back to his mother, amused at his antics. His attention then focused on her, not the least bothered seemingly. "Not everyone can perform such water tricks," he said in jest. Or perhaps he was wrong and the boy stumped him. But, he knew what she had meant, and he continued to converse. "Though, as Master of Water perhaps I should," he smiled again. "This kingdom is in good condition. I could use my magic for a more needing cause, but it is the least I can do." Then, looking over toward a nearby well, he waved his arms in a circular fashion. The water within the well began to stir, rippling before flowing in upward motion. The then extended his palms, the water flattening in midair as it then flew toward them. His arms moved in the same direction as the water did, and he aimed it toward where the boy had run off to. He then swirled his arms more in the air, the two often overlapping as the water came to a halt near the boy and his mother. The boy turned around in interest, most likely hearing the water behind him. He looked on in wonder as it swirled into many different shapes and forms, changing color as Arlyn bent the light. Figures danced in the air, from animals to the shapes of people, rings and other shapes. The water then swished around the boy, and he laughed as he felt the breeze around him. Arlyn then brought the water in front of him again, hovering in a large ball. Smiling he then lightly splashed the boy in the face. The child laughed as his mother gave Arlyn a glare. She pulled his arm tightly as he waved to the both of them. "That was amazing!" he called from far away. "Bye Arlyn! Bye lady!" he said as he disappeared into the rest of the crowd.
Arlyn smiled as his gaze lingered toward the direction of where the boy had been, before returning to the woman. "I have come here to travel, in order to help out those in need," he explained. "Though it is difficult when there is not much I can help out with," he gave another grin.

Wandering Through | Rhiannon looked at the gentleman and tilted her head slightly because of what he said. Master of......water? He did say that, right? She didn't mishear him. Wait...did he say water tricks earlier? Blinking she turned her head towards the well that he pointed at and watched what he proceeded to do.
In truth the look on her face was probably looking very similar to the one that Zachariah had on his face as the older gentleman teased him with the water and made dancing figures in the air. How.....amazing. How beautiful. That was .... probably the most amazing thing she had ever seen. A soft laugh escaped from her when the water swirled around Zachariah and the splashed him a little before his very upset mother continued to pull her son back where he belonged. In truth, Rhiannon watched his mother for a moment and she swore...she couldn't tell if the look on her face was because of Zachariah running off or because of the water show.
Looking back at the older man when she heard his name. Arlyn. She knew that name....had heard it through the hallways of her father's castle. "Arlyn..." she said it softly, more for herself, like she was rolling it around to try and remember something about what she heard. Looking back at him she offered him a smile, "There is always a need for help...even if it's not obvious. Sometimes it's the places where you have to look the hardest that is actually where the most help is needed, right?" Still holding her treat of the green apple in her one hand, she turned to face the gentleman.
"Forgive me, I recognize your name....i've heard my father and his men mention it but I don't....I can't put my finger on what it was about." Then she mentally scolded herself, "Where are my manners....I'm Rhiannon Dufour, eldest daughter to the King and please... let me welcome you to our home."

Arlyn nodded in agreement to her statement. "You are correct," he said. Perhaps that's what he was searching for here, the places she mentioned. It was true that it could be seen behind one's eye, if they were not watchful enough. She was a smart young woman, Arlyn thought. Not too many were concerned with how the kingdom was doing. He would have introduced himself to her however it seemed that she had already knew his name. He continued to look at her as he listened, but then as she mentioned that she was nobility the old mage gave her somewhat a look of surprise. Oh yeah, well the clothing should have given it away. Nearly forgetting his place the Master of Water bowed his head, dipping it lower than he thought.
"Please pardon me, your highness," he said, then straightened himself as he looked again at her. "I did not recognize you. And that would be lovely," he then said, if she began to walk in that direction he would follow. He hasn't seen the human royalty at all within the last few decades. Even if he did she must have been still just a child. How fast they grow, he thought inwardly. Or perhaps he was just getting older. Though ever since he became a Master he had a few connections to the authorities of other races. Politics and whatnot. Arlyn despised such disputes and trickery, the deceit of it all. Nevertheless, it wasn't something he could avoid. To protect the school he had to do so in both ways, both in the physical factor and the other in the societal. The mages were feared for their magic, and they had to prove the rest wrong.
She probably couldn't remember who he was, a strange old man that her father probably weaved a tale about. The mage laughed, a deep heartily sound coming from his throat. "Indeed, it has been awhile," he then smiled. "I am Arlyn, Master of Water at Lledrith School for mages. I help keep watch over the school," he told her, probably this time formally introducing himself. He was interested to see her curiosity with his title. He was also grateful for her kind gesture to their home. His eyes averted back to the castle, such an old thing. He wondered what happened within those walls when he was gone. His attention then shifted back to her. "Have you ever traveled there?" he then asked, curious to know if she ever had.
