i wish that someway, somehow, that i could save every one of us
Orin was once a Lore Keeper, but then passed on his role to Ives, vanishing without a trace. Ever since then he became a wanderer, hiding in shadows as he sought to destroy an evil force he sensed before it would spread. However, he was unsuccessful. Now he is found by a couple of people, and as the danger grows he is making himself more present. He prefers to work on his own but sometimes he will go out of his way to lecture people. However, maybe he is doing so for their own sake.
FRIENDSHIPS
Not many aren't intimidated by his presence. Even if he sought friendship, others may not be so kind to him. He is used to doing everything by himself, believing that making sure that the elves are safe is his burden to bear. However, that doesn't mean that he despises people. But, he has a very aloof-like manner, and speaks cryptically as he remains mysterious. He doesn't want others to get involved in his doings otherwise they would get hurt. He is majority of the time very stern, and teacher-like, lecturing those who he deems in need of it but it is usually out of good will although it may not seem like it. A friend to him is someone that at least, tagged along with him. He considers those to be his allies, and is a loyal but yet continuing to be an aloof protector until the end, coming for them in times of need.
HATESHIPS
Orin doesn't hate many, but he does despise those that endanger the forest, given in to their corrupted desires, or are power/blood-hungry. He usually does not seek out confrontation, but if he does it would probably be the last time they see him. He kills as a last resort, so if he is determined to kill he is planning to succeed. But he usually tries to reason with them or lecture them before he does so. He only is concerned with the protection of the forest and people themselves, so if he feels they are not endangered by them then he would not consider them his enemy. With annoying or overly-happy people he usually tends to be silent around, however he does not hate them.
LOVESHIPS
I don't know how Orin would feel to be in love. He is an old elf, but there still might be potential for him. His sexuality is unknown, so there may have to be some experimentation involved if he loves anyone so there are many different ways this could go. Though I feel that he would hold love in high regard and take it very seriously. So I think that whoever loves him would probably have to chase through the forest to find him, as he is almost always on the move. But he would probably sacrifice himself for them and maybe live a different life as he settles down with them. He also treats Ives like a son so he will mention him a lot. xD
