As of today ~ 9/6/17 ~ all is calm BUT we are being told the we could be impacted by Hurricane Irma by late Sunday early Monday.
What does that actually mean for me and others in this area?
Well, Florida is under a state of emergency right now. They are right now evacuating the Keys.
Parts of the coast along Georgia is under a state of emergency but that could change.
Parts of South Carolina are under a state of emergency.
The one good thing we do have is there is a cold front coming down from the northwest. Hurricanes like hot weather so the cold front could push her away, which would not upset me in the last.
But things could change in a heartbeat. If they do I will do my best to let you know. Just keep us in your prayers that Irma goes out into the Atlantic and dies.

Update: If you have watched the news this will probably not be news to you but I wanted to let you know anyway.
Florida started evacuating yesterday. South Carolina has started evacuating yesterday, also. And Georgia, where I live, has a mandatory evacuation for the islands and coastal counties beginning tomorrow morning at 8AM.
So far, because I live more inland, we are fine but things could change. As long as we are still here and have electricity I will do my best to keep you abridged of what happens.

Okay, I am finally able to get back to you guys. First of all, thanks to all your kind thoughts and words. We did go to an evac center at my church but found out later that night that a tree fell on my trailer. We ended up staying there for 5 days as we were advised not to go inside until it could be checked out. The fear was the huge Loblolly Pine would come crashing down on us and that would be no fun at all.
Well, help from family member who was friends with a tree surgeon, he looked it over and told us it would be Monday or Tuesday before they get rid of it. We were very lucky as some people had several trees fall on their homes. So we ended up in a motel for the next 5 days. Was nice but definitely not home.
Anyway, come Monday afternoon the tree was removed and we were finally able to get home later that same afternoon. My kitties were so happy that we came home. Slept in my wonderful bed last night & slept uninterrupted all night long. That was the 19th.
Today we had the roof looked at and there was some damage but nothing too severe so it will be able to be fixed but it will be on this coming Saturday before it can be fixed as two churches are going to help us. So that's where we are right now.
Am very glad to be back but an still pretty tired from it all. So give me a short bit of time to get my brain rebooted and back into RP mode instead of survival mode.
Thanks to all of your for your patience and understanding. We are thankful to God as it could have been so much worse.
