Adrian is a werebeast ability to shift into a palomino quarter horse. He is not amazing at this transformation as he has been unable to practice it very often but he can do it without pain. He finds partial transformation quite difficult and doesn't attempt to do it very often.

Appearance:

Adrian is not a striking beauty, but he is quite handsome and has a regal air to him. His hair is a dirty blonde that is cut short as to not get in his face however he often grows it past his ears to appease his father. His eyes are a stormy blue that never quite meet other people’s gazes, usually out of respect or uncertainty. His body language is quite closed off which can make him seem unapproachable and cold, especially when coupled with his aloof resting face. Adrian is just taller than the average person but not so much that he stands out like a sore thumb. His face is angular but not pointy, and his ears are softly rounded. His chin is usually stubble but he prefers to keep himself cleanly shaven, often not having the time to remove the face hair. His skin is soft and uncalloused but easily tanned despite how pale it appears to be. He has large hands and feet, despite this he moves with grace and dignity that has been taught to him from birth.

He is most commonly seen in high quality clothing, preferring darker clothing to lighter, airier colours. It isn't uncommon for him to not have to choose his own clothes for the day however he likes choosing his own look. He often wears simple clothing that doesn't stand out as he likes to blend in with the crowd. If he must wear formal clothing he will wear it with dignity and not look out of place at all. His armour was specifically tailored for him by his father's requests and is light and easy to move in, much to Adrian's pleasure. He only wears this armour when he must, to battle or other formal ceremonies that require him to attend in such equipment.

His beast form is of a Palomino Stallion that measures at a height of 15.6 hh at the withers. He is gold champagne colour and his mane is almost purely white. Adrian's fur is short and close to his body and his winter coat isn't much different from his summer coat, albeit a few shades lighter. Because of his light colour, he is susceptible sunburn bur and on a rare occasion he may bleach slightly if he is out in the sun too much. He has a white blaze down his face and soft brown doe eyes. His legs are muscular and his face is a lovely refined and solid shape. His chest is broad and his hindquarters are well muscled. Adrian is extremely fast, however, he has a lack of endurance, He is fairly agile and could improve on this skill if he spent more time as a horse.

Personality:

Adrian is a quiet man who seeks harmony and peace in his inner world. He is quite reserved and is very inner focused with little thought of the people around him. His morals and values are flimsy and easily changeable and he takes a while to make up his mind. He is quite mature and well-spoken with each word well thought out. He enjoys the company of others but it hesitant to form bonds with others his age. He is unused to asking for help and prefers to do things himself. When put into group situations, he tends to take a step back and let others lead as he knows what he wants to do but not what the others will need. He is very aware of his own flaws and is very self-conscious.

He is well adept at hiding his emotions and is skilled at lie telling, therefore has expertise at keeping secrets. Despite this, he attempts to be sympathetic and understand others. He finds it difficult to process his own emotions and he tends to repress emotions like rage and excitement, preferring the soft hum of calm. He is respectful and almost stiff in his interactions with higher class citizens and only a little less stiff around those his rank or lower. Adrian can only truly relax when he is by himself or with a close family member or staff member. He has often been described as ‘aloof’ and ‘cold’ by the same people that call him ‘intelligent’ and ‘intellectual’.

Hannah Anderson and Wolfgang Anderson were the two proud parents of one healthy baby boy that they named Adrian. Despite having the money to hire nannies and wet nurses, Hannah decided to look after her child by herself. She would often excuse herself from important meetings to spend time with her baby, much to the dislike of Wolfgang. The Earl was didn’t like the fact that all his wife’s time seemed to revolve around their son instead of the household. Within three months, Adrian’s father put his foot down and Hannah had to take a step back from her son. He was soon looked after by a mousey young girl named Nancy, and she was his nanny for five years but she was sacked for stealing from the household.

Adrian was still very attached to his mother as she was a constant in his life but Wolfgang was very distant. He spent time with her as she read stories to him or slowly taught him to read. Soon enough, he was old enough to learn to ride. His first lesson was on an old mare and he enjoyed it as much as a young boy could. Come time for his next lesson, he transformed into a dainty colt in front of the mare. She immediately tried to separate Adrian and his mother but was easily chased off from doing so. Hannah tearfully tried to convince Adrian to turn back to normal but young Adrian refused as he was having too much fun.

A few minutes of this caused the lord of the house to see what all the ruckus was about and he was absolutely furious. He didn’t strike Hannah in front of Adrian, but informed calmly told the nanny, Sarah, to take the boy inside. Adrian tried to turn back into a human, and after a few minutes he achieved this. He quickly scurried inside with his nanny, tears in his eyes. He was secluded from his mother and father for many days but Hannah was finally permitted to see her son. She informed him that he would have to be on his best behaviour around his father, promising to tell Adrian what was wrong when he was older.

He spent the next three years pushing himself into his lessons, with barely contact with his father and even less with his mother. When he turned nine, his father took him into his study and explained why Adrian was like he was. The truth was that Hannah conceived Adrian with a werebeast colleague of Wolfgang’s a few months after Wolfgang and Hannah married. The only reason that Wolfgang hadn’t disowned Adrian was because he had no other heirs and the prestige that Hannah’s maiden name held. Adrian was heartbroken at the hatred in his father’s voice and quietly convinced himself that he would be the best man for his father’s pride.

He obeyed his father’s rules about transforming- to not do it at all. He was submissive to his head of the house while being confident in giving orders to the servants. He was the perfect son just so that he could get on his father’s good side. While he acted like this, he lost more and more contact with his mother. He was 15 when he broke his promise to not transform, and it was when a herd of wild horses crossed their property line. He had rushed down and frolicked with them, learning the body language of horses. He returned the next day, glad that his father was away on a trip. From then on, he would sneak out at least twice a month to practice the transformation. He justified it to himself by claiming it would be good self-defence like the sword lessons he was receiving.

When he turned 19, Hannah fell ill with a sickness. Adrian wasn’t sure how to feel about it, having become so very distanced from him. She stayed bedridden for the next 5 years, but returned to health. By this time, Adrian was allowed much more freedom and didn’t have to abide by his father’s rules so strictly. He began to quietly look for his blood father, curious about him. This didn’t end up well as Wolfgang found out and threatened to disown him. Adrian found this threat quite intimidating and so he ceased all his disobedient behaviour, except for his little escapes to be in his horse form.

By the age 25, Wolfgang seemed to relax his hold on Adrian’s life and he was sent on missions to retrieve things and speak with other lords. He was allowed in many other parties and the world seemed to open itself up to him.
