Night had just fallen. He could see the remains of the white trees outside, the wanderer dressed in dark clothing as he sat on the floor, in between the large glass of the windows as they were open ajar. The cream curtains with royal blue trimmings blew in front of him with the cold breeze of the night, shadowing his figure as he looked out into the distance of the outside. It was much warmer here at the castle, but most likely the princess would feel the coldness seeping in as it remained open, the man sitting there stiffly. The white, clear almost translucent drapes beneath the curtain showed his pale face, dark eyes looking out into the moonlight above which shined upon him, as well as the rest of the walls. A few black strands of hair lifted in the wind, however most of it remained still, the air blocked from where he sat. The room was dark for the most part, but he could see some faint lights here and there but hadn't paid much attention to what they were. Firelight or candles, he couldn't tell. He wasn't too far from the mahogany furniture, now a deep and dark brown in the moonlight. At the furthest end of the room he was, as to not disturb the sleeping princess too much as he waited, eyes planted on what laid on the outside. The room was quite high to begin with, and even the princess had a balcony but he had climbed where he was, where he preferred to be. It would create much more of a commotion were he to do so, and perhaps there would most likely be guards stationed on her balcony. So rather he would remain quiet, undisturbed as even he sought no harm to Eolande. But as he waited he just merely sat, silence as he could hear a wolf howl in the distance.
His dark eyes were planted on the snow outside, but as he heard approaching footsteps, they moved over to her. "Eolande," he started, looking at her grimly as his voice held an evened tone to it. "Have you done what I have advised?" he asked, knowing that she should know what he was referring to.
Eolande Ashwin
