It felt a little like he was pushing her away. Telling her she needed more than a camp and not sounding too enthused about a cabin. She tried to not feel down...but it was hard. He had wanted her to decide but now she wondered if she choice had ever really been hers to make. When he said he could handle her messing things up she smiled. But before she could speak she found herself swept up in her more carnal desires. The feel of his lips, his teeth, his feather light touch on her legs. Her lithe body arched instinctively against him, her head rocking back with a soft sigh as his teeth nipped at her neck. She could remember a day back at the cabin when she had offered her throat to him. A submission, a sign of trust.
He whispered to her. Words that made her smile widely and her blue eyes snap open in surprise. "You mean it? Truly?" Her fingers working at his clothing stopped and suddenly she slung her arms around him. Pulling her smaller frame against his own with a sudden exuberant hug. He nuzzled her and Larkin closed her eyes in sheer bliss. And then came a soft sound she had never made before. It was a purr although not in the nature of a feline. It was softer and didn't resound from her chest. The tiny rhythmic beat barely even audible, but it was there.
Her hands roamed over the bare skin of his chest that was now available to her. Leaning forward she stretched upward to claim his lips once more. Thankful that she had worn a dress on this day, she wriggled against his touch and completely lost herself in the man who had stolen her heart without ever intending to.

It wasn’t too hard to get lost in the moment. The here and the now but like all good things even that would have to come to an end. Once the heat settled down into a simmer, he leaned against her for a moment and sighed quietly. It was now back to reality and that meant the very thing they had trouble deciding earlier. Where to go, when to get there, and how long could they stay there. He allowed her dress to fall back over her legs and tug his pants back up onto his hips and rebuttoned them. ”So you are wanting a cabin again?” he asked with a raise of a brow. ”I was actually thinking maybe we could find somewhere near one of the cities… except Cendra.” He scrunched his nose. He thought that merely because it was less obvious. Most of the guardians wouldn’t expect them to hide in plain sight. ”But I am not sure how easy that will be.” Most of them would require money and that was something neither one of them really had. He had some stashed but it wasn’t enough to try and get a place in one of the cities.
”We could maybe just look around… or something.” he hated not having a plan especially now that Larkin was pregnant. Wandering aimlessly seemed like a terrible idea especially when they could get into a situation where they could get ambushed. But he grabbed her hand and squeezed it. ”We’ll figure it out together.” He said offering a small smile. [thread end?]
