She was stuck.
There was no escaping for her and there was nothing that she could do. Her leg....was....well healing. The claw marks from Killian had gone deeper than she thought and with the hobbling she had done on it...that had only made it worse. So she was stuck. Inside and on 'bed rest'. Nothing to do but read and watch life go by. They wouldn't even let her out to go to the memorial for the people that died and that had pissed her off. It felt like the puzzle pieces were being moved on the board by her father and there was nothing, as of right now, that she could do to stop it.
Sighing, Rhi looked out the window and watched the movement happening all around her. She should be out there. Helping...doing something. Not stuck on this damn chaise in this damn room in this damn castle being told that all she could do was sit and watch. No...screw that.
Swinging her legs over the side of the bed and grabbed the crutches she had been given. Using them she made her way over to the small desk against the wall and sat down. Pulling out paper and her pen she began writing the draft of a letter to the King and Queen of the Immortals. She needed to send her apologies for what happened and communicate that she wished that she had done more. Express that not everyone in the mortal kingdom felt the way that her father did and she, for one, would truly enjoy and cherish getting to know them and learning. She made sure to also thank the King for his his help and support that evening....
She scribbled down more thoughts, of course she would work on consolidating them all into a way that they would make the most sense and then see that the letter was delivered. Taking the notes she stored them in the hidden compartment in with in the desk and then closed it. Standing back up, Rhi made her way over to the balcony and leaned against the railing while resting her crutches against it as well.
Oh how she wanted to get out of this place. To go and grab Barney and ride...find the freedom out there, with the wind in her hair that she was consistently refused to have here. Under her father's thumb.
She was stuck.

This is stupid, this is very stupid! He moved silently through the courtyard of the palace. He was pretty sure if he got caught there would be no explaining he would just be dead. However, the cat was determined to somehow make it to Princess Rhiannon. What had gone on at the ball wasn’t him and wasn’t something he would have done. There wasn’t much of an aggressive bone in his body – to be honest, it had been pretty much beaten out of him through his years of working. He couldn’t fully remember much of what had happened at the ball other than coming back in from the gardens and then dropping. His world had completely changed and what voices he could hear were muddied. He could remember hearing Rhi yelling at him to stop and could remember smelling her blood on him when he did come back to his senses. Of course, he also awoke to searing pain in his rib cage where he remembered the Immortal commander, Connor, had jammed his blade. It hurt for days and even made him pass out once or twice from the pain but the great thing about being a wereanimal was they healed quicker than humans. Now what laid on his ribs was a long silvery scar that would forever be a reminder.
He ducked close to a wall when he heard footprints walking his direction. Pressing his back into the wall he held his breath as they passed by not even giving a second glance. This was nothing he hadn’t done before. Being apart of the criminal ring had only taught him to do better and not get caught. Of course, those choices weren’t made willingly. If he didn’t wanna get beat then he would do it right the first time.
After the close was clear he started looking upwards as he walked along attempting to catch some kind of clue as to where on earth Rhi’s room could be or even where to begin. He knew he couldn’t get in on the lower levels so that meant he would have to go higher and sneak in that way and hopefully smell her out. As he continued along he finally saw a balcony with doors open. Glancing around once more and making sure the coast was clear he started up the wall, grabbing onto pieces that jutted out as décor and parts of the window ledges that helped boost him up. He was so focused on getting up he hadn’t even seen that he was going the right direction; in fact, the only way he knew was he smelt her first. Glancing upwards he could see Rhi leaning on the railing of her balcony and grinned as he edged up closer and peering up at her. ”Hey stranger.” he purred. ”Mind helping me the rest of the way up?” He reached for her rails hopefully having her help him the rest of the way.

Damn the Immortal guard and her father's soldier to boot. She had asked for a god damn simple favor... all she asked from the Immortal guard was to please let her know if Killian was okay and he snapped back at her. He was her friend and she was worried about it but the man and his ego...couldn't see past it. Now the truth of the matter was that she had no idea how Killian was or who she could reach out to so that she could find out how her friend was. She was worried about him nobody seemed to care about that or anything. It wasn't like she could write a letter to Kings and Queens of other realms and beg them to help her on her search. Turning her head at the voice that came out from seemingly nowhere, she looked around. "Killian...." Then she gaze moved down and she caught sight of him and grinned, "Killian!" Moving over as much as she could, she reached out and helped to carefully pull him up and then over the balcony. She stumbled back once he was up and over and on her side of the railing. Giving it another moment before she wrapped her arms around him and hugged Killian tightly. "You're okay." She smiled. "You're okay.... I was worried about you. I couldn't find out what happened to you, no one would tell me. They were killing all those innocent were.....I was worried...." Pulling back because she had worried that someone, no...one of her father's men had caught him and killed him like they had all those innocents. The relief was all over her face and she wasn't even trying to hide it. "I was so damn worried about you..." Killian Cruz

[blockuqote] ”You know they say if you worry too much it can kill you.” he gave her a sideways grin before instinctively touching his ribs feeling a little strain. It was nowhere near how it had been actually had he tried that days ago he would have passed out again like he had on Djinn. He waved it off but that was when she rushed at him and swung her arms around his neck and tugged him in tight. He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a quick kiss atop the head. ”I think it’s a little harder to kill a cat than you might think.” he answered quietly. Besides he had the brains to get out of there when Connor had stabbed him. ”You don’t need to worry your pretty little head over me.” he said as he pulled back looking down at her as she soon dropped their hug. ”I, however, don’t think I will be all that welcomed if I am seen.” he glanced over his shoulder back down over the railing before quickly replacing it with an exuberant grin. ”I am glad to see you are in one piece. I just wanted to check on you and be sure you were… okay.”Humans didn’t heal like weres did, that he knew. As not a lot of time had passed since it all went down. Unfortunately for her she seemed to be dealing with her battle wounds still. Flinching a little the smile faltered and he cleared his throat as he pointed towards her legs. ”I do that?” he asked. ”I don’t really remember what had gone on but I know I hurt you…. I remember the smell of your blood and ---.” he bit his lip for a moment and shook his head. No, he was glad he didn’t hurt her as bad as he thought he had. That would have been a real torture. He didn’t like hurting people unless of course, it was for the more…. Provocative reasons. However, he would rather take the beating than someone else. ”I am just glad you are okay. It could have been a lot worse if the commander hadn’t jumped in.” he remembered her falling and how ready he was to sink his claws and teeth in her. He forced a smile again. ”So why are you hanging on your balcony looking like a caged bird? Surely you can do more than wallow around in your anguish.” he feigned a little lifting his hand and pressing the back of it against his forehead as he batted his eyelashes at her. ”Or is it your father being a bully?”[/blockquote] Rhiannon Dufour

Shaking her head at him brushing off her concern she sighed, "Damn it, KIllian....stop it. I watched you....watched you disappear...." She frowned and tugged on his hand, "I kept trying to talk to you but you were gone...and then I watched you get stabbed." Reaching over she gently pulled him further inside and away from the balcony so that they would be out of the line light of the guards, if any of them decided to pass by. "I kept watching those idiot guards stabbing and killing every innocent were that they came across. I was worried that one of them caught you when you ran....and no one would bother to let me know if you were okay, including that asshole that stabbed you who seemed to know you." Once they were further inside, she stopped leaning on him and hobbled back over to the chaise and sat down. Looking down at her leg before glancing back at Killian, "You didn't hurt me on purpose. I know it was an accident so there is nothing you need to worried about. You weren't yourself..you were totally animal." Adjusting her leg a little she looked at the wrapped calf and shrugged. "It was my own fault...I should have known better." Giving him a smile, "I will be....they want me to keep take it easy for a bit and", she lifted her hand and made air quotes, "rest. Which is basically my father's excuse to keep me locked up in here so I can't do anything." Smirking at him and she raised an eyebrow at his mocking. Picking up a throw pillow near her and tossed it at him. "You don't do caged princess well." Sticking out her tongue at him, Rhi sat back at little. "As far as Daddy dearest goes... I haven't seen him since the night of the ball. So I'm guessing it's been communicated to him that I'm fine and that's fine with him too." In truth, Killian was the first person outside of her brothers that had bothered to come and see her. "Trust me... if I could get out, I would get out. As it is...I need to go to the Immortal Court and give the King my thanks and pay respect." Tilting her head, "So where did you go after you left? How long did it take for you to.......shift back?" He watched her as she seemed to boost in anger. He wasn’t trying to brush it off as if it weren’t a big deal but to him, now that it was over, wasn’t a big deal. He was healed pretty much and that meant that he didn’t have to fuss over whether or not he could move or even remain breathing. ”I understand, Rhi, but I am standing right here.” he said carefully. ”It was a scary time for all of us. I get it. But there isn’t a reason to dwell in the past when I am perfectly fine right here in front of you.” those words sounded familiar. Don’t dwell in the past. He did that a lot and he had Djinn telling him numerous times to cut it out because there was no point. Funny how it was all coming full circle and he was telling someone else the same thing he was told. He followed as she tugged him further inside to get away from the prying eyes of the passing guards below. They probably wouldn’t even notice them unless of course Rhi continued to raise her voice that is. The feline though remained as calm as he could in the situation. He knew what it was like to worry about someone as he had done so over Lucia.
”We knew each other. Yeah. Commander Connor, I’m glad he stepped in despite shoving a blade in between my ribs. But even being hurt I wouldn’t have been caught.” he said. ”Besides when I ran I didn’t stay on the ground for long. I was hurt and the first instinct for my cat is to get away from whatever it was that caused the pain.” It was also a very survival tactic as well.
She tossed a pillow at him and he didn’t do much to block it instead let it hit him and then fall to the ground at his feet. The most he did was turning his face a bit but gave a small laugh. ”I don’t. I prefer free princess after all.” his said playfully as he swept down to pick up the pillow and tossed it back at her. She stuck her tongue out at him and then sat carefully on the bed. He couldn’t help but let his eyes wander back towards her leg for a moment as she spoke about her father. ”You think its wise to compromise yourself like that?” he asked as his eyes trailed back to her own. ”They aren’t exactly happy from what I hear and you being the daughter……” his words trailed at the end. All he could really do was think of the worst in situations but one couldn’t blame him if they knew what he had been through. The feline had seen the worst of every scenario and it wasn’t very often the good one came into play. ”I have no right to tell you what to do so I won’t but please just be careful. There are a lot of upset people out there along the way.” He could only imagine what a person would do who didn’t have some sense of consequences get ahold of her. Her next question made him move forward and sit next to her though he shifted to where one leg was a little higher on the bed than the other. His foot tapped a little as he had quite the excess energy. ”An hour from what I remember. When I left here I wreaked havoc outside of the walls.” he frowned a little. ”I am not entirely sure if I hurt some people. I probably could have but I don’t honestly remember. It was all hazy. By the time I shifted back I was out of the city and at the ruins.” and where he had passed out on Djinn as well as argue with the fairy.
He wasn’t a temperamental being but sometimes he could be pushed just far enough for him to lose his cool. ”Did a lot not make it out?” Rhiannon Dufour
