It was a rough journey back to the Duskmire woods from the human lands. Shimmer pushed them both relentlessly at first, relaxing only barely once they were out of the realm that humans walked frequently. But even then, it was more than three days of constant travel. Though, she ensured that none of them went short on food, it was not an easy ride. But, as they rode into the Duskmire, the mage visibly relaxed. She was home. This was where she felt comfortable, despite the danger of will-o-wisps and kelpies and everything else. She led the two men deep into the mire, until they were surrounded by trees thicker than they were tall. Not too long after that, she pulled her mount to a halt in front of a particularly large tree. A quiet mutter came, along with a gesture, and the tree's bark and wood shifted to reveal a doorway, large enough for their horses to pass through. She beckoned them to swing off the horse and follow her in. There were a few steps down into a small chamber that held a couple ties along the wall, and a pile of hay and sawdust. It didn't take long to pull tack fromt he animals and ensure they had hay and grain and water from barrels that stood far to one side. Yet again, she beckoned them deeper. Her voice came softly, magelight brightening as she led the way down a winding staircase. "I apologize that I haven't gotten guest quarters set up. Tomorrow will be soon enough for that project. I think you'd rather take some time to refresh yourselves, eat, sleep. Once we are rested you can tell me how you prefer a living suite set up." A hallway that started as cool earth swiftly shifted to rough stone, and then to smooth stone, embedded with crystals. Some glowed, others did not. They did not go too far into her winding lair before she turned to one side and gestured them into the room. It was small, a sitting area, really. But there was a fire place to one side, a sofa and some chairs around it. On the hearth was a large, bear fur rug. She offered them both a tired smile and pointed to a curtain in the back. "Through there is a washroom. There should be water within it. If you give me a moment, I will return with food." She turned to leave, and as she started to walk away, the scrape of claws upon stone was clearly audible. If they cared to look out the door, they would catch a glimpse of Eitri, the strange, scaled canine quite obviously happy for the return of his mistress. She paused to stroke him before disappearing deeper into her home. Shimmer moved into what was her kitchen... or pantry. She had one for the conveinence, but it wasn't really something she used often. She gathered food into a bowl, a selection of fruit and vegetables that she had kept fresh in a cupboard enchanted to be cold, and a rather large amount of jerky. Fresher food would have to be made tomorrow. As she left the kitchen, she grabbed a bottle of wine, and went back to the sitting room. The bowl of food drifted away from her and onto a small table without thought, along with the wine, and she gestured to summon two cups as well. "It's simple fare, but we can arrange something more... fresh for the future." Eitri peeked in behind her at the two men. Magical energy crackled around her briefly as she forcibly shifted something from nearby, and several blankets and a couple pillows drifted in from a nearby room as well. "Sufficient until we can finish setting up a true living area for you?" Something in the small raise of her eyebrow dared them to consider her hospitality less than sufficient after such a long ride, though her smile remained, for the moment. Ladon Luhan

The whole time they traveled, Ladon was silent and wary. However, over time, that eventually began to fade, him becoming ever more hopeful of their future. This was the first step, they needed to take it. But, there was something different about him now. Perhaps he was more serious than he had ever been, and he would only speak to Luhan in private whenever they could. How are you doing? How are you feeling? Is everything alright? Those sort of questions. But they held no real meaning. It was just to ensure Luhan's safety. That's all what mattered at the moment. He didn't trust the woman, but this was the only way. The only thing he hoped for is if she didn't bring any harm to Luhan. Whatever the price was, for them staying here, he would make sure that it is he who pays. But so far Shimmer did not seem to pose a threat to them... yet. As they entered Duskmire, Ladon remembered their encounter vividly. Turning him into a dragon. The blood. All of it. When she had shown them her home, Ladon stared around at it with awe and cautiousness. She was a mage of many talents indeed. She was quite powerful.
When she had brought the blankets and pillows, he stared at her grimly. "That will be enough for now, thank you," he said shortly after. He didn't know how long it would take for her or how she would be able to even set up a room for them, but all of it didn't make much sense to him in the first place. Her magic was curious, and he could not pin point what sort of magic it was. Being the wise old dragon that most knew him as, even he could not tell. Most mages had a single ability, one that they were most proficient in. Yet, this... this seemed odd. It was strong indeed, but it were almost as if she was proficient in every single talent...
His gaze turned to Luhan soon after. "Are you exhausted? Do you need to rest?" he asked him, wondering if this was a tiring journey for him. It wasn't often they ventured outside of his clan. Or, this far at least...

The spell that was cast upon the werebeast shortly faded in an hour, although he remained peaceful as another spell caused him to fall asleep. Once he woke up he saw that Ladon and Shimmer were walking with him in the Duskmire woods, causing him to shift back to his human form and put on his clothes in a secluded spot. He then asked them what was going on. Once he was told what happened he was speechless, shortly apologizing to Ladon about the way he behaved and for scratching him so violently. He then apologized to the woman for losing the feline-shaped charm, and for having to step up and help them. He was grateful for the mage offering them her residence and help.
In no time Luhan was completely back to his senses and walked along with the others. Surely, they were a rather strange group, as it consisted of a werebeast, a dragon and a mage. Luhan remained quiet for the rest of the trip, keeping his head down as he was deep in thought. He only spoke when he was asked something, answering in a polite and quiet tone. He was mostly thinking about his relationship and future with Ladon. They were really doing this.. Just like that, they finally ran away from his clan and were moving together to another place. Someone else's place.. Was this right..? He didn't want to suddenly bother a stranger and intrude in her home. Surely this wasn't easy for her either, having to live with the two -or three- of them.
Once they arrived at Shimmer's residence he was dumbfounded by all the strange surroundings. He didn't know what the ground or furniture consisted of, but the small chamber with hay and sawdust caught his attention the most. He smiled at the animals living there, attempting to reach out and pet them. He was familiar with horses, and he surely missed riding one. He didn't know when he would be able to do that again. He then remembered his own personal horse, Sorn, which grew up with him since childhood. He let out a soft sigh, feeling bad that he had to live Sorn behind, still in the royal barn.
His thoughts then averted back to the woman as she spoke, following her downstairs calmly. He nodded along at her words as he glanced around, soon noticing the claw marks on the wall that made him raise a brow. Deciding to brush it off, he made his way towards the table and took a bite of an apple, soon catching the pillow and blanket. He blinked in amazement, still not used to this kind of magic. "Oh, we really don't need much.. Thank you for all you've done." He gave a small nod of his head along with a warm, tired smile before turning to Ladon as he continued to eat. He swallowed his current bite before nodding, pursing his lips. "I'm exhausted, to be honest.. Shall we go lay down?"

Shimmer knew that she was unwelcome by Ladon's voice alone. The mage didn't need to be given more hint than that. She had been around far too many people who she had worn her welcome out quickly with to not understand his curt tone and his sharp glance. It was nothing she didn't expect after their time traveling. He had taken her offer because it was the last one standing, and she had given him a choice that protected his lover. Even as she slipped out of the area, a shadow among darker shadows, her lips quirked. His lover, who had so far proven to be delightfully naive, and optimistic. There was use for this attitude, and it balanced out Ladon's suspicion of her nicely. Luhan would trust her easily. After all, she was their protector. There was the problem of those who might come after Luhan, but she would take care of that later. For now, the shaping of stone was what needed her true attention. The night passed by for her in an intense focus of power and energy. The caves rumbled occasionally as she manipulated the very bedrock that she lived within. Eitri and Suma sat at her heels as she gestured and chanted. The chambers she formed took space quite a distance from the initial entrance, and a single level down. She had no wish for any others she might bring by to discover her... guests, but neither did she wish her guests to delve deeper into her stronghold. Perhaps arranging for a place upon the surface wouldn't go amiss for the future. But this would have to do in the meantime. It was not difficult work, really, just time taking and meticulous. A perfectionist, Shimmer found herself drawing upon her crystals in reserve to ensure that she had the energy to make the space hospitable to a level that one would not expect when living in a cave. Their suite opened up into a decently sized sitting room, which was mostly unfurnished for now. It had three rooms leaving from it. One was quite clearly a bedroom, the bed-frame made of stone. Crystals dotted the walls and bed in swirling patterns of decoration. The second room was a washroom, a deep pool of steaming water built into the floor. Quite clearly, she had tapped into a hotspring from somewhere, though the water didn't quite stink so badly of sulfur. The third room was a kitchen, filled with the basic amenities that would allow them to cook for themselves as well as store food for at least a short while. The floors of it all held a gentle texture to them, enough to ensure one wouldn't slip, and the walls were smooth, filled with the spirals of crystals through the rock. Furniture, as she formed the basics, held a frame of stone. Where she got the pillows and rugs was unclear. Some, were stored at one point, that was obvious. Shimmer did not hold back. What decore there was was fit for somebody of a high rank. She had the taste of a noble. The mattress upon the bed was not straw, but down, with a core within it that gave a firm support. The pillows were much the same. The blankets were simple, but well made. Stone and wood made up the dresser and wardrobe. A mirror of polished silver hung upon the wall, or was it part of the wall? What things could be made of stone were, wood used only sparingly as she built their suite. But eventually, the mage ran out of energy. Her nervous energy had kept her awake far longer, and now she needed to rest and recover. Shimmer didn't even bother leaving the rooms she had built. She placed a fire within the hearth and curled up upon a fur rug, covered by another. ---- When morning came, Eitri had become bored. He had slept by his mistress's side, but now he was bored. There were new people within their home, and the creature couldn't help but want to inspect them. Leaving the more faithful Suma with Shimmer, the mottled brown canine made his way back to where Ladon and Luhan rested. Without shame, or any hint of social grace, even for a canine, he began to snuffled around them and their stuff. His forked tongue flicked out lightly now and then to taste their scents more clearly. Unsure of the two, the canine let out a hissing whine. Ladon Luhan

Ladon was deep asleep, not even dreaming as he was so exhausted. He laid on his chest, head facing sideways sunken into the very pillow he was given, eyes shut tight. This grueling journey caused him to tire, the extensive amount of walking, worry, and the like. As Ladon was typically wary, especially around the woman, he couldn't bring himself to sleep lightly. Unconsciously within his sleep his arm fell around Luhan, wherever he lay. Close to him, or maybe even he had rolled over there himself as his mind restlessly could not stop worrying for him. But as morning came, not even the sunlight could have awaken him. If one could call that sunlight. The Duskmire Woods was a dark place. If anything perhaps it was more of a lighter shade of violet light than the usual pitch black. However Ladon did not stir, even though he probably would have were he normal. He continued to lay there, not even thinking a single thought until he felt something on his face. A rather, peculiar feeling. Something small and cold pressed up against his cheek, making its way down around the rest of his face, his mouth his nose and whatnot. The feeling kept going and returning, nuzzling different parts of him. It was then his eyes began to twitch, in his rest as he then turned himself back onto his side, pulling the blanket further over him as his head faced the other side. However then he continued to feel the same thing again, although this time it was wet.
Feeling the long, stringy, slimy tongue, it was then his mind must have thought it was the kitten's. Oh how adorable the little white fur ball was. That little tongue of his, how it stuck out just barely. His hand reached out toward the head of whatever was licking him, pulling it closer to his own.
"Luhan..." he murmured in his sleep, caressing the head slightly. But it felt rather... different. It did not feel furry at all. Or even like a head of hair for that matter. His eyes just barely opened, slowly awakening as he was coming back to his senses. His dark eyes then bolted open, seeing the room in which they slept in. He felt a warm body behind him, however he was now holding something close to him. Looking down he saw a head of scales, and a pair of eyes along with the very tongue that stuck out. His eyes immediately widened.
"Luhan!" he said, pushing away the creature's head in surprise as he jumped, sitting up as the blanket fell off of him. He scooted toward the werebeast, his whole body placed in front of him defensively. However, it seemed that the bizarre creature was not going to bring harm to them. He then looked at it rather curiously, tilting his head as he looked upon its features. It seemed rather canine, much like a dog however the scales and lizard-like face were quite unsettling. But as the beast did not seem to be hostile toward them, he looked over to Luhan, placing a hand gently on his shoulder as he then smiled tenderly. "Luhan... we should wake up," he spoke softly, a whisper in hopes of not awakening him too abruptly.
