Background
Sammy is a sweet sensible guy who has a love for animals. He loves resuing animals and really wants a pet. He can't tell the difference between a werebeast and a real animal.
Plot
Due to his lack of knowledge, Sammy finds a 'stray' animal that happens to be a werebeast. Before the werebeast can inform him that they are a werebeast (maybe they are unconscious or something), he was already taken them away from where he found them and brought them aboard the Hollow Heart.
How your character responds to this is totally up to you! If you have any queries or suggestions I am open to them!

I remember you said he should find her on the beach. Maybe she gets drunk and flies off, has an accident, gets injured. Sounds like something that could happen to her.
