They both had responded with curt answers, and Cyril hardly caught the glimpse of concern that his sister seemed to have. He wouldn't have known what it meant otherwise, and wouldn't question it but he barely recognized it in the first place. Though, was something off? He didn't know, but it appeared that they had reached the garden. Indeed it was beautiful, and the elf prince looked upward as the greenery fell to the ground in mixture of red and yellow leaves. The flowers left the scent in his senses, overcoming him as they entered. It was a fairly well maintained area, the elves specializing in nature after all. Everything appeared to be nicely trimmed, and as he inspected the rest of it, his eyes scanning the area as he felt the brief crispness of fall sink cold into his skin before turning to see that Eolande had seated herself onto a bench, then beckoning them to join her. Cyril turned and did so, heading there gracefully before sitting himself next to her, looking up to see if Morighan would join them. "I am glad to see that the both of you are well," he said, an eased expression on his face. But now it was his turn to explain how he was doing the recent days. "As you both know, with recent events of the plant hunt, mother absent at the castle and father attending to his duties, I have been rather engaged with such matters," he said, looking at both of his younger siblings as he spoke. "However I have been managing it quite well." He was a busy man, as the both of them knew, but he was fortunate he could complete most of his tasks properly. Occasionally however, he had time for his own plans. His new recruit for guards were proving to be beneficial much to his liking.
But he wondered what the two of them were doing during that time. However he could understand why none of them had attended the hunt. Eolande wasn't quite the warrior her mother was, and Morighan... Morighan most likely had his own personal reasons he was sure. Though he couldn't help but glare at him with his icy blue eyes for a moment in thought about it. But then they resumed to normal and he gazed upon them casually, looking back to Eolande. "I have heard that you have begun your combat training, Eolande," he said, his face not reflecting upon how he overcame that information nor what he thought about it. Of course, he couldn't help but hear from the master-at-arms mention something about training the princess from his guards. He then smiled, a rare shine of his white teeth showing through. "I think that is splendid," he then said gleefully. Turning to Morighan, he asked him, "What of you, brother?" His continued look of happiness continued as he looked at him, his icy glare gone from before, perhaps concealed within his pale features. "Have you continued with your training?" Or perhaps the question ran deeper than one might suspect on the surface.

There was a distinct quality to the two siblings that Mori simply lacked. A lightness, a purity. He was like the dark cloud that followed them. Discernable by more than just his appearance. Eolande took a seat on a bench once they finally reached the garden. At her beckoning, Cyril joined her. Morighan pretended to not even notice her offer although he was certain it was more for Cy than himself anyway. It was hard to not roll his eyes as his younger sibling boasted about her lessons. His own brows raising as he stepped over to a flower that should be dead given the season but was still bright and full of life.
He plucked a crimson petal away and turned to look over his shoulder when Cy spoke to him. He hadn't missed the look of contempt his brother had given him although he pretended to not notice. He could be getting glared at for any number of things. But it was likely something trivial. Cy could be pretty anal about things. "Splendid." He repeated with an eye roll, mocking his brother and sending a fake smile toward his sister before returning his attention to the alabaster haired man.
"What training is that Cy?" He asked smoothly. He reached out and pulled the rose from the vine and leaned with his back against a decorative stone wall. Absently plucking petals away as he gathered his thoughts. "My bow training I'm assuming? It goes well enough." One of his shoulders rocked upward carelessly. It didn't matter what they thought of him. He would never be like them. Never truly belong. Why bother?
"Are you taking care of all of father's work for him? He will be so proud when he returns." The words were spoken in a friendly way. But from Mori there was likely more to them. Still though the dark skinned elf kept an easy smile on his face. Casually plucking away petals of the flower and letting them fall to the snow at his feet.

Eolande noticed with a twinge of sadness that her brother didn't accept her invitation to sit, but didn't comment it for the moment. Giving a modest smile, she shrugged as her brother mentioned her training. "Well, it's only been a few lessons. I suppose it will help if... if a war does break out." She cleared her throat, looking up at Morighan as he plucked the petals off the rose, and watched the exchange between her brothers.

Cyril looked at Morighan before Eolande spoke up. Curiously he gazed upon her with interest. "A war?" he asked, rather confused as to what she could have meant. It was nearly laughable, but at the same time he wondered why she would think such a thing would happen. "What would bring up this concern?" he asked her, though it looked as though he was not taking her seriously, his tone in question light and he looked as though as he was amused.

Oh joy. Now his siblings were talking about an imaginary war on the horizon while ignoring him completely. Mori sighed and let his head roll back against the stone wall. Letting his mind drift to some rather inappropriate places. He would need to drop in on the Lore Keeper again soon. Make sure he understood his place. Among other reasons...Thinking of reasons. His blue eyes flicked to his siblings and he smirked. Those two had a beautiful mother too. Too bad she wouldn't give him the time of day. Maybe one day he could break down those walls. Oh what their father would think....

Eolande glanced at her eldest brother, knowing her concerns would sound ridiculous to him and knowing her response would sound equally ridiculous. "There has been gossip," she said vaguely, keeping her composure with some effort. "And what is the harm in knowing how to defend myself? I daresay it's high time, after half a century going without." She looked up at Morighan, her brow knitting together slightly. "Won't you come sit with us, Morighan? You seem uncomfortable over there." She gave him a slightly teasing smile. Even though there was only gossip about the war, she had also seen the dire warning from Orin, but she didn't want to bring that up to her brothers at the same time. She wanted to gauge their reactions separately, another time. Perhaps she could speak to Cyril on the way to the Battle Royale.

Cyril looked at her with some disbelief. Had there been gossip about a war starting, then not a doubt he would know about it. His light blue eyes studied her for a second, pondering what this was all about, but he couldn't find a trace of a hint. Though he would most likely be one of the first to know, were rumors of a war beginning to spread. However it was not that out of the question, for what happened at the Royal Emberi Ball caused tension amongst all. But there had been no declaration of war ever assigned, but suspense still hung in the air. The king of the humans had indeed wrote a letter to all royals, apologizing for the mishap. Were he to blame or not, it could cause some skepticism in some's eye. However he believed that things were going to be calm from now on, or at least in the elves' eyes it were. Smiling slightly after she spoke, he looked at her with an expression of partial understanding. "Ah, I see," he said. While it didn't hurt for her to train, he just didn't see how it was truly necessary. Nevertheless, he couldn't speak for himself, for he had continued with his training as he always had. Unlike Morighan, who relied on just bows and arrows for combat. Or so far he knew. It was then the light-haired man peered over to the wall, gazing upon the dark-skinned elf who seemed withdrawn from their conversation.
As Eolande invited him over, Cyril couldn't keep his eyes off of him. Perhaps it was a look of regret, or a partial sadness not fully unveiled. "Yes, Morighan," he said serenely, voice soft as if it were like gliding over a river. "Please, have a seat," he would try to make more room by moving over if he were to sit next to them. Apart of him wanted him to sit there with them. He hadn't seen much of either of his siblings, though even as he had his suspicions about one, that didn't mean the love wasn't there.

"Uncomfortable?" He parroted his sister. His blue eyes darting down to the bench that both of his siblings sat upon. Cy brought his gaze upward and for a moment Mori's eyes lingered on his brother but he didn't speak. He blinked and the spell was broken. With a soft chuckle, Mori would push himself away from the wall and give his two siblings a half wave. "Actually I should be going. Busy or something. You know how it goes. You two hens have fun." He didn't give his siblings another look and turned to leave, a backward wave his only parting gift as he disappeared from the gardens.
[Mori has left the thread.]

Eolande looked at Cyril a little petulantly as he seemed to not believe her about the war. She couldn't reveal what she knew to both of them at the same time, though. She knew a war was coming and she needed to stop it. If only she knew how to get through the shell of the younger of her brothers. She glanced up at Morighan as he spoke, her expression becoming a bit desperate as he began to leave. "No, Mori, please...." She followed after him for a few steps, then stopped, tears welling up in her eyes. He was so untouchable, so unwilling to open up to her. She supposed it was partly her fault; she hadn't tried enough when they were children. She stood for several moments with her back to Cyril, then swiftly wiped her eyes with a delicate handkerchief and turned to her remaining brother.
She smiled weakly. "I guess it's just the two of us, then," she said quietly, coming back to sit next to him.

"Yes," he replied pleasantly, however despite the upbeat tone in his voice, the lingering gaze looked on as Morighan left. As soon as the dark elf was out of view however, the eldest prince then turned to Eolande once more. Even though they were his siblings, not even a short moment of peace could last. Soon enough they would all break apart from each other, despite their togetherness from so many years ago. Rising from the bench, Cyril turned to face her once more. "Alas, there are duties which require my return," he said rather curtly, but the smile was still on his face as he looked at her.
"It was pleasant seeing you, Eolande," he said before turning away, walking toward the entryway of the castle once more as his hands were placed behind his back, leaving all of this behind him.
