Born of the sacred pool, Pandora is gifted the element of water as her own. She can control it's ebb and flow, manipulate it's form (she cannot do ice but can make water into mist) and shape but she does not generate it. She possesses a very special gift when it comes to water as well, the ability to heal wounds. While not instantaneous, those submerged in water filled with her magical essence find that their wounds slowly close and mend on their own.

Appearance:

In her human form Pandora appears as a thin reddish brown haired woman. She has a rather round, soft face that gives off an innocent look and makes her seem less threatening than she can be. She has fair skin that is lightly kissed by freckles and is often seen wearing a bright smile on her face as she goes about her daily life. Pandora has dark brown eyes that are only slightly lighter towards the inner ring to give off the hint that she might be more than she seems. Her hair is long and falls down to the middle of her rib cage and this is the length she often prefers to wear it with no ornaments or ties.

Pandora's manner of dress is quite simple in style, she wears very light dresses. She does not flaunt her wealth by wearing clothes that draw attention to her, all of her dresses are either white or a light brown colour. They more closely resemble a peasants garb or clothing one would wear on a warm day/to bed. Due to this she is often over looked when combined with her sometimes muddied look (she digs for herbs). The only thing on her person of note is a necklace on a silvery chain that houses several large sapphires.

In her dragon form she is quite a bit bigger than one would expect if they knew her human form. She is covered in silvery blue scales and makes one feel as if a smaller castle is but a hovel when comparing size. In this form her eyes glow a silvery blue hue and her scales seem to shimmer as if they were droplets of water reflecting the beauty of the morning rays.

The years have been kind to her for the most part, Pandora smiles as many long lived species do not. She comes off as kind to those who do not know better as she is always smiling. Her words are soft but behind them is a sort of "heed them or don't" attitude as she does not truly care. Unlike a lot of her kin she is benevolent, choosing to give the gift of life and knowledge for very little in return. This does not mean she is without rage or scorn; should one gain her ire she is just as relentless and ruthless as any other dragon.

As most Dragons do, she does experience an ego the size of her true form. She loves being adored, sometimes even feared but also respected. Trinkets and baubles given to her please her more than a kind word or any friendship one could bestow upon her. Her aid and loyalty can be bought for a shiny trinket or two but she does have boundaries she will not cross. She will not purposefully heal the wicked nor will she harm women or children where she can help it.

Pandora is a creature of habit, she does not often venture far from her caves on the ocean side. Though it has changed and people do not honor her as they once did she still watches over the nearby village. She is a guardian by nature and chooses to protect those she feels are under her wing. While not stupid, she is a creature who shows very little fear in being what she is. Pandora chooses boldly to live in her true form most of the time showing that she is indeed bold. She refuses to bend on one knee or die to the lesser lived species.

Times were much more simple when Pandora was born.

The young dragon first emerged from her egg, the only surviving child of a small brood. Yet it would be her destiny to survive, to protect the cave in which she was hatched. Their line was much different from the others, they lived in a much closer harmony with the mortals who possessed magic. The Dragons of Windlyn celebrated a close friendship with the mages who in turn study from them in the ways of Hydromancy. This was Pandora’s first exposure to what the world outside of these walls was like. For hundreds of years this symbiotic relationship existed between the caves of Windlyn and it’s people until the war came.

Once war broke out upon the continent the dragons tried to become distant with the people of the land, Pandora included. The people of Windlyn implored the dragons to reconsider, to fight, but they would not. This lead to hatred between the two species and ultimately when the people turned against the dragons they were forced to conceal themselves from them. During the war Pandora and her mother would seal the caves and live in isolation from the world for quite some time. Quite some time would pass before the cave started to naturally unseal itself from the outside world and the world coaxed them back out of the caves.

Pandora and her mother would emerge to find the village they once protected to be a ghost town now. It appeared that long ago the village was swept up into the fires of war and destroyed by the hate that spread through the lands. With no villagers to give offering, Pandora’s mother sought to look for another and left her to care for the caves on her own. This the young dragon would do and over time the caves would breath new life into the land and surrounding ocean. The fish would return in abundant numbers, the fields became fertile once more when soaked in the caves waters.

In time people returned to rebuild Windlyn and Pandora watched over them from a distance this time. Unlike the other dragons she was mostly untouched by the horrors of war, she did not know what became of the rest of the species. At first she wished to go among them and once more reveal their gift to the world, to be showered in trinkets. Yet she remembered what they were capable of, the species of this world were destructive and violent. Deciding that she could not show them her true form, Pandora would go among them in a human form she developed. This is where she would learn the truth of the world, it’s current state, and what happened to her people.

She could not blame them at all despite the anger she felt. Dragons were powerful beings who could deal great harm. In their time of need Pandora and her mother’s flight had abandoned them and so she resolved herself to help the world. Pandora would create this persona of being a Shaman and spread the healing waters to the sick and desperate. In time people would come to rely on her and believe that her touch brought healing and good harvest to the village. This is how she would choose to spend her life during the Ashes treaty. Despite the persecution of her people she chose to work from the shadows so that one day she might change how dragons were viewed once more.

Pandora is the guardian of a place known as The Sacred Pool of Windlyn. It is a crystal cave half flooded with water that has been saturated by her magical essence for thousands of years. It's location would be obscure knowledge or a myth to most but there are perhaps some who know of it and where it can be found. **Mages probably know exactly where it is. Adventurers have most likely heard of it** She lives among the people as a Shaman in the nearby village of Windlyn, aiding it's people as atonement for abandoning them.
