No one wanted to die , most people were afraid of death. The immortals were not among these people , they lived forever. Especially after the treated had been signed , it was very rare that a immortal died nowadays. If they did - it was mostly by their own misfortune with the wrong people or it was there own choice. His father had been one of those people, he had gone made and instead of letting the illness infect his people because of his irrational behavior.. he decided for his life to be taken. This was something that Justus thought about often. He kept that away from his wife , he kept it away from his children and he kept it away from his wife. Usually he was very open with his wife but there were certain things he kept to himself. He didn't want to worry them and he didn't want them to think that what happened to his father , would some day happen to him. Really for the most part Justus was a hard ass but he was not a asshole. He always wanted to do what was good for his people first , then everyone else second. He was last on his list of worries. His family always told him that it was okay to be selfish sometimes , he just couldn't make himself do that forever. He had a kingdom to think about , he didn't have the luxury to do such things. He wasn't a ordinary king , that was the difference between him and others. There was just a few others royal families he would call his equal and for him to just admit that was a honor all in itself.
The city of the stars was a journey he always took once a year. He used just a handful of his men to make this journey with him. At least two of them were new soldiers in his army and the rest were those that needed the peace he got when taking the journey. At the end of the journey he took his time to meet with a old friend. It was a mage astronomer who he had met a few years ago. He had gained Justus admiration and he his friendship that day they had met. During this journey he learned about what could be read in the stars. The city was a very calm one. It could be a culture shock to most. It was a city filled with many different faces and different races. It was good to be among people that weren't like himself sometimes , it gave him another outlook on life. The events that had happened at the ball had made him worry about everyone in attendance , not just himself , his family or his own people.
Walking along the streets he had just left his friends side , his men followed a close distance behind him but not far. His hazel eyes looking over the different faces that passed him until he bumped into someone. He had to control his own strength. As far as Justus knew he was one of the strongest men on earth , his strength was legendary and it could harm someone badly even just a nudge. Luckily he didn't hit the other person hard but his men were already by his side. Putting his hand up for them to stand down. "It's fine. " , he brushed them away. "Hopefully I didn't hurt you ." , he said it sincerely.

The hot wasn’t something that Sammy liked to deal with and that was all that the desert seemed to be about. The sun beamed up above him and he could almost feel his skin fry under the heat. His face was already flushed with the heat and his clothes were too warm. He was only in the City of Stars for a few days as the ship stored up with food supplies and such. Sam enjoyed the feeling of the sea breeze throwing through his hair, removing all the sting of the summer heat. At that thought, he almost face palmed. He had grown so used to only using his powers in dire situations, he forgot that he could use it for simple things too. He wiggled his fingers a bit and a cool breeze floated across his face.
Happier now that it wasn’t so hot for him, he continued his exploration of the city. He smiled kindly at grumpy looking and happy looing stranger alike, his mood elevated now that he wasn’t drowning in his own sweat. He stopped a few times to look at a few stalls. A wide variety of different clothes were being sold and he wasn’t too shocked to see the lack of fruit and vegetable. He knew that the land wasn’t viable for much plantation, so much of it was imported which hiked the prices. No wonder they weren’t being left out in the heat to rot. His eyes began to squint as the ground beneath his feet became reflective of the sun above. He decided definitively that he didn’t like deserts, no matter how nice and calm the residents were.
As Sammy walked, he found himself bumping into someone and he barely continued staying upright. He blinked as his side let him know that it was a little tender and he stared at the man that had knocked him sideways, shocked by the force that he had fallen. His eyes widened as a bunch of men began to approach him quickly who were stopped by the man who had knocked him over. The same man also seemed to extend an apology of sorts. Sammy gave him a slight smile, “No harm done.” He glanced down to his side and poked at it a little and it only complained a little. “That’s going to hurt less than my sunburns so we are all good.”
A burning question bubbled up in his throat, but he held it at bay to extend his hand for a shake. “I’m Samuel Thayer, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

It wasn't everyday that Justus was distracted , but in this situation he couldn't help it. Any time he was in the city of stars his mind seemed to work over time. There was something about this city that he would say was second best to his own home - of course there was nothing like the immortal kingdom. He had spent centuries there, he didn't need to grow to love it. It was in his blood. He was very protection of his kingdom and his people. If he was protective of anything or anywhere else it would be here. Justus wasn't a bad man - but he was a troubled one. Coming to the city helped he looked at the bigger picture of things , it kept him grounded and it kept him from hurting everyone that crossed him. He was working on himself. Elysia had been the harder one out of the two. Justus was quick to anger, but if he had to choose he would want to find a way to get his point across without hurting you. He would if he had to - or if he was pushed to.
Justus hadn't been watching where he was going , that was his fault. But bumping into Justus wasn't like bumping into a regular person , with his powers there was always a lot more force. When he wasn't paying attention and he wasn't in control of his powers , there was always a little more force. Not enough that it would break anything or kill the person. But enough that it might leave them sore of bruised. The guards rushed to his side fast, but again he waved them off. The man said he was okay and Justus nodded. " Good , I didn't see you there. My mind is in a million places at once." ,he did a short bow before his eyes rested on the man in front of him again. " I'm biased to these parts , mainly because I visit often and for a long while now." , he laughed. He hadn't been sun burned in a while , it had been a long time since his skin had been bothered by the sun there. Maybe it had just adjusted to it over the centuries he would visit.
The stranger gave him his name. He didn't know who he was. A smirk on his lips but before he could answer one of the guards answered for him. This is the king of the immortals you idiot. And you should address him as such. Justus turned on his heel to hush the guard. " I am sorry about them. Everyone is a little uptight because of the latest events. He is right however. I am King Justus Delago. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." , he nodded to the man.
"What brings you to the city? , he asked him as he lifted a eyebrow. " Usually people are looking for something or they are escaping something. What of you?" , he tilted his head to the side.

Sammy's spine went rigid as the guard threw in his face that he was talking to the King of Immortals. He took a few moments to process this as the King of Immortals himself introduced himself. His cheeks pinkened and this time it wasn't from the heat. He almost took a step backwards, but he wasn't that intimidated. He had lived with the past two captains of the Hollow Heart as well as the entire pirate crew of the Gulls and that was no easy feat. He had also had casual conversation with the King of Elves so this conversation shouldn’t be too different. Carefully chosen words, polite topics and the key thing; respect. All of these things combined would mean Sam wouldn’t get into any trouble with the King’s Guards.
At the King’s words, Sammy stopped himself from scoffing. He guessed, in a roundabout way, he was looking for something. He said as much, “Well not always sire, I guess I’m looking for something. Supplies for my ship. There was a storm a few miles out and we lost a lot of it so now we’re here and I’m organising very expensive food.” He cocked head, and before he could consider if this could be taken as rude he asked a question, “Which category to you fit into sire? I can’t see you running away from something, as an all-powerful being such as yourself.” He had tried to hold back the sort of humour that got him into trouble, but he had failed. Maybe the man would find it funny or at least not notice the sarcasm in the last few words. He winced to himself, silently berating himself. It was obvious that King Justus was trying to be nice and here he was mocking him.
