━━━━━━━━━━ ღ ━━━━━━━━━━ Tiredness had begun to creep up on Jay as of late, clinging to him persistently like a virgin after her first round. Actually, nevermind that; it wasn't a very good comparison... If it had just been virgins concerned then Jay would have shaken them off long before he had let the problem reach this stage. He had now reached the point at which he was beginning to lose track of how he was getting by from day to day (or rather from night to night, to be precise). Initially he had overlooked this tiredness as a natural part of the process of moving. Or at least a move as drastic as this one. But he was now marking the months since he had traded the gutters to curl up in the lap of luxury, and he had long since become ( painfully) familiar with his surroundings and neighbours. There was therefore something wrong with the community itself; And Jay did not doubt it was the sickening silence that enveloped the entire street. It stemmed from the sad fact that everyone here seemed more concerned with what next door was doing instead of occupying themselves with their own lives. They pretended to be saints; blowing out the candles straight after the sundown, only to lie in their beds in absolute silence, waiting to overhear some great secret through the thin walls. He could only guess that it was social carnage that followed if they were to catch you. Jay didn't have the time of day to join in with their little game. But that didn't deter them from including Jay in it anyway; He could feel beady eyes staring after he left the house and then again when he came home. He could have also sworn he could hear the shushing from the other side of the wall as he crawled into bed at night. It all bewildered him at how stupid they thought he was. As if he'd ever bring back clientele back to where neighbours with nothing better to do could listen in on a lifetime's supply of gossip. Whatever they thought of Jay; they should at least know by now he was a professional of his trade (whatever that would mean to them). Jay couldn't care less about their sad little game. But by the gods, it left the nights dead as hell. As well as depriving Jay of his favourite game ; "guess-what-race-that-moaning-next-door-is-coming-from?", it also left him acutely aware of his own thoughts. And there was no form of company that Jay wanted to share less time with... (which even surprised himself to admit that given the many messed-up characters he had shared rooms with) So he felt, for this evening, a change of scenery was much needed. He wasn’t sure if he needed a scenery change as drastic as being groped down the bustling alleys further downtown. He didn’t think so but heavens knew what he wanted right now. All of he knew was he’d be damned if he was going to spend it alone with another history book. And with little more than a fine blue garment and an aim little more than to find himself a half-decent distraction, he meandered down the streets to anything that was left to enjoy. ━━━━━━━━━━ ღ ━━━━━━━━━━

It was good to back here in the city of Cendra.
Radulfr couldn't recall the last time he had been here. It had been so long, yet so clear in memory of when he had. It felt so long ago, yet he could vividly remember. This was the place that he had met her. This is the place that he had first encountered Wryn. He had been here long, ever since that he was with her. However that was a while ago, when he had slain her master and the two had run away together. That's when he made the mistake of deciding it was a good idea to venture up into the mountains, from which he hailed from. He was so foolish to bring them somewhere where she had gotten captured. That mansion was like another horrifying memory. Yet, were it wasn't for the ones that helped them escape, perhaps they wouldn't have made it out alive. Much to his disappointment. Then, the Emberi Ball. Wryn wished to go, and Radulfr brought her there in hopes that they wouldn't discuss what happened back there. Even still they had not discussed, what she knew about him. Everything was lain bare. She held those cards now. Yet, even still she was able to forgive him. Or that's what it seemed at least. She had even brought him to see a healer after the spell. His wounds healed up rather nicely, and somehow he was able to manage to get his armor back. His mask. A gloved hand ran up by its neck as he stood in the lonesome street. Oh how good it was to wear it again. Fortunately he had not been wearing it at the ball, as much as he disliked it, for otherwise the result could have been fatal otherwise after the spell.
Now he had found himself here. Back where it all began, it seemed. However he was here for a different purpose. Standing against one of the walls of the buildings in the alleyway of the night, his posture slouched as his arms crossed across his chest, armored mask looking downward. His eye looked down at the cobbled street. He thought he heard the noise of a rat as the water of a puddle rippled underneath the light of a dim torch. He looked like he was in the right place. An alleyway in the evening that no one dared ventured after dark, all the candles blown out and those who knew the comfort of their home, went to bed. He was looking more for someone that would dare brave the streets alone. Surprisingly he wasn't looking for a job. Well he was, but perhaps now he was just taking a break. Going back to being a thug, even though he was typically hired this time he just waited for someone unlucky enough to give him money. He thought that it would be futile as normal however there were occurrences. A lost couple or perhaps someone who thought the darkness of the night was their friend. Oh how wrong they would be. But, he had also just gone here to think, to take a break from what all happened recently. He had left Wryn back where they were staying, she had probably gone to sleep long before he had decided to take off for the night. He just wanted a change of view. He was much more used to being places like this. Perhaps this brought him some solitude. He just wanted to be more like his old self. Back when the days he spent alone. Wryn had changed him much in the recent past. Making him take off his mask and such. He felt uncomfortable but now here he was. Even though usually he would do the same thing while she was around, he just couldn't sleep this night. And they were low on money, well, they always were, but it was a good excuse for him to lurk in the alley.
The coldness sunk in to his bones, but that didn't bother him the least as he continued to stand in the alleyway, awaiting any that dared pace among the street. Lucky enough for him he heard footsteps. His head turned vaguely, obscured by the dark shadow of the building, the light of his mask gleaming only a little. A woman dressed in fine blue garb. Oh how lucky for him. Rather presumptuous looking, he could only think she was of a certain trade. But typically they were common in places like this. Though she must be coming home with a bag full of coin. The perfect opportunity. As she neared closer, it was then he came to a realization. No, the long dark hair had fooled him. That woman was actually a man. A feminine man that still carried that same air about him. This made him even more inclined to take his share. As he neared closer, Radulfr emerged from the shadows, coming into the light of the torch. If he were brave enough he would try to keep walking. He knew that he wouldn't run even if he was afraid. Coming face to face with a thug in an alley, one typically wouldn't run at first sight. Well, maybe because they knew that it would give chase. Standing before him, Radulfr blocked his path, two feet firmly spread apart. He wasn't going anywhere. He looked quite intimidating indeed.
"Going somewhere kid?" he asked roughly. Then, without a warning, he aimed to punch him in the gut, in hopes that from the clothes he wore, a bag of coin would spill out. Looking closer in the light he could see that the garb looked rather fine indeed, something more along the lines of a wealthy one than a poor one.
(Sorry Rad's a meanie. ;-; Maybe someone else can join in on this thread to save him? Or if you have any other ideas let me know. xD)
