His adventure outside the walls was far less relaxing than he had anticipated. Once more he was swept into the affairs of business he didn’t need to be in, namely, the little whore ring he had heard about but didn’t know much of. Larkin had been a sweet girl and didn’t at all seem like she had been corrupted by the ways of the underworld. He admired her for that. She, however, made it seem like she hadn’t been there long and got out as soon as she got put in. Some weren’t as lucky as she. No less there wasn’t much he could honestly do for her. He was only an immortal prince with powers that worked with the dead such as the mere vision that haunted him now. The man had half a skull, grotesque gray-green skin, and bloody pus seeping from wounds. His body was frail as clothes were ripped and tattered and like always, he stared at him from the corner of the room. The tall man never spoke an actual word but followed him around most of the time especially when he was in certain parts of the castles east wing. He could always tell when he was near though. His body got cold and though not a word was uttered by the man, he had a distinct sound from the way he moved. His decayed form creaked with the sounds of sloshed groans.
He never got the nerve up to ask him what he wanted and instead attempted to merely ignore his very existence. That was what he was trying to do now as he moved towards the very meeting place Kai asked for. Walking in behind the shadows of the tall pillars, he moved towards the middle and then stopped. The sound of his dead companion also stopped as he stared at him with deepened eyes that looked near rotted out of his head. The constant gaze was heavy on the prince and it made him unnerved. He fiddled with the letter in his fingers attempting to distract his mind. Sometimes he could block out the visions and it forced the zombiefied ghosts to disappear.
He read the words over and over in his head on the thin yellow paper but the distraction wasn’t working all that well. Instead, he heard the figure approaching closer and could see him swaying in his jerky motion as he neared closer. His heart pumped a bit in his chest as grey eyes remained pointed down. That was the thing about this figure he always neared by never seemed to cross a certain invisible line except now it seemed he was going for it. A loud gurgled groan grew louder as he could see an outstretched hand reaching for his arm. Eyes closed willing the thing to go away as it grew louder almost like he was in his ear, feeling the breath of the dead on his neck.
And then fingers enclosed on his arm.
Ezra nearly jumped out of his skin and pulled away, jerking his arm a bit but not necessarily out of the grip that held him. Grey green eyes moved dangerously towards the figure but softened almost as instantly. ”Oh… Kamaria.” His voice softened. He couldn’t explain what it was that had just happened but he knew well it probably looked strange. ”Sorry, you startled me.” He said in a lame attempt to cover up his sudden nervousness. ”Is everything alright? Your letter sounded…. Off.” Kamaria Sinara

Kamaria waited in the shadows for Ezra to appear. She hoped he would come. They hadn't spoken in a while. She hadn't warmed his bed in even longer. The babe instead of drawing them closer had driven a wedge between them. Because Ezra didn't know if it was his. She could understand his trepidation but it still felt like a betrayal. Like he was pushing her away from something she couldn't help. The conversation with his mother had been most unsettling as well. She wanted to leave. She wanted them to run away from this place of stone and cold.
But there had been rumors that he had been seen with a harlot. Kamaria had witnessed him briefly with a lithe little elven woman. Her skin the color of alabaster, her hair ivory, bright blue eyes that had looked around excitedly. The dark tattoo on her wrist one that most would easily recognize. She was nearly the opposite of what Kai was in every way. Appearance wise at least. Was that the reason he hadn't reached out to her? Because he had found someone else to occupy his time?
He appeared then and Kamaria moved toward him, her long dark dress billowing softly behind her. He was looking at her but...not. There was a strange look in those eyes of his. As if something were haunting him. Had he another night of bad dreams? She tentatively reached out to touch his arm. He jerked as if he had been struck by a snake and Kai dropped her hand away, not reaching out again. She bit her lip and tried to smile when he realized it was her. But he worried her. He was always in a battle with his demons and he wouldn't even let her try to help carry the weight of them. He told her so little about the troubles he had, she wouldn't even know about the dreams if she hadn't been present to bear witness.
"Everything is alright but first...are you? You look as if you've seen a ghost." She gently reached out to touch his arm again, slower this time. Carefully as to not startle him as she had before. "I wanted to talk to you about...a few things. But now might not be the best time if you don't feel well."

He could have sworn the fingers that gripped him were the cold hand of death. The icy touch nearly burning his skin through his clothes but when he looked the ghostly vision was gone and instead was his sweet maiden, Kamaria. He felt embarrassed almost instantly and gave her a sheepish weak smile as he lifted his hand, rubbing the back of his head he looked down. It wasn’t a very often quality of his to show such submissiveness but those visions were one to really get to him and every so often the regal prince slipped. ”Er- yeah. Just wasn’t expecting it was all. I was lost in my thoughts.” She knew very vaguely of what he dealt with primarily because he didn’t want to scare her. She didn’t know that he could hear dead people, see them, or even talk back to them. That was a sort of thing that a human didn’t need to deal with as it was his burden to bear. Besides that she had enough problems on her plate.
At her touch he turned to face her and drew in closer much more at ease. He steadied his breathing and focused in on her lovely face. She was the glue for him. Everything that tied him to this realm. ”no need to worry.” he encouraged her as he lift his hand and softly touched the side of her face. Leaning forwards he pressed his lips to hers before pulling just a tad back. She then spoke again and his head tipped. ”Okay. About what?” he asked. Usually when it came to a woman calling you for a meeting about wanting to talk about some things… it usually didn’t hold very good news. What more could possibly go wrong than what already was? His grey hued eyes cast over her face searching for some kind of hint as he let his hand drop back to his side. He knew he hadn’t seen her since they had found out about the child but that was truly no fault of his. He wasn’t avoiding her it was more like his mother had purposely kept him busy or Kai was already off with his father.

He was troubled. She could see as much. But as always he didn't wish to speak with her about his problems. She didn't push him. "If you need to unload any of them you know I am here." His lips pressed gently against her own and Kai found herself leaning into his touch. But it was all too brief and before she could get carried away the moment was gone. About what? Well...that was the question, wasn't it? The kiss had been risky, out in the open as they were even shielded by shadows. "Can we speak in your quarters?" A glance around would signify what she meant. This was a conversation no one but Ezra must hear. Plus...she would just like to sit down. Her feet were hurting and the heels she wore hardly helped the matter.
If he agreed she would walk at his side with her hands folded neatly in front of her until they reached his quarters. A glance in each direction to make sure no one was watching before she slipped into the confines of his territory. A place that was more welcoming to her than the king's bed could ever be. She took a seat near the small fire crackling away in the hearth, the regal chair a welcome respite for her feet. "I hope I didn't worry you Ezra. We haven't really spoken since..." Since she had told him of the babe. She assumed he was avoiding her, something she could be wrong about. But the sighting of him with the harlot did not help matters.
"I...first I wanted to ask you-" She stopped. Did she truly have a right to ask him who he had in his bed? Was she not the mistress to his father? Of course her position was less one of choice, but still, it stood. "I saw you with a girl. She was one of the girls from the city, her tattoo... Have you-" She stopped again and looked down at her lap. Her fingers searching for the chain of the necklace that she pulled from beneath her high collared dress to nervously work at with her fingers. The locket she had been given not so very long ago. "Have you replaced me, my love?" The words were soft, timid. She had no right to ask such things of a prince. Even given their forbidden relationship.
"We haven't spoken and I worry that you resent me now." Her thumb brushed over their initials that were so beautifully inscribed. "Please tell me that is not the case."

He only offered her a small smile when she said that she was there to talk about his troubles. He knew she was and he knew she would listen to whatever he had to say but he wasn’t one to really unload on anyone and though it was getting to the point of being hard to deal with, he wasn’t quite there yet. As she asked whether they could speak in his chambers, he gave another nod. ”This way then.” He said as he stepped around her. He walked more in front of her as was expected of a royal, stepping with purpose and poise. To be honest he was like any other person out there but when you were a Prince you were expected to act as such. His movements were to be made a direct decision and not show hesitation. It had become almost second nature learning to walk dignified at the tender age of 4.
Once in he moved more into the room and quietly turned to face her wondering what all of this was about. They have had private conversations before but none that required them to meet somewhere and then move elsewhere. Gray eyes briefly moved to the door that was shut quietly behind her but he knew well to keep things modest. Despite the appearance of being alone they were not always alone even in his private room. He stood patiently as she gathered the words she wished to speak and all reactions were telling him to take the defense, he didn’t. He was the prince and could see anyone he wished be it for fancies or common socialization. However, it was neither of the two. He had rescued the girl from being drug back to what he could only presume was a terrible fate of a whore. She had to have gotten free and stayed free for a reason… who was he to let such a thing happen when he had the power to stop it? ”You should know me better than that.” though she used soft spoken words and attempting to sound unassertive her words made him bristle a little. ”Her tattoo does mean what you think it is, yes, but I had helped her.” he was doing his best to remain calm.
It did look suspicious since when was it he left the castle walls? He knew this and he didn’t really feel like he should explain considering he should have her trust. ”Where have you heard such things?” it couldn’t have just been her seeing him let alone catch eye of a tattoo that was barely visible. ”And why would you believe it.”

His words made Kamaria look down at her lap in shame. Her fingers clutching the tiny locket tightly. "I just worry you hate me now Ezra." Her words were soft but emotion licked at their edges. "Because I don't know who-because you are in a bad position because of me." She shook her head when he ask where she had heard things about the woman. "I saw the both of you. I was going to speak to you and..." Her voice dropped away then. A worried line creasing her brow. "I shouldn't think of such things. I trust you. It is just...I am replaceable." She didn't look at him then. It was true. How hard would it be for Ezra to find him another mistress? Easy as pie. But the words from his mother still echoed in her mind. She said that Kai would never be with Ezra. Ever.
"Your mother spoke with me." She said, still not looking up. "I ran into her a few days ago and she sat me down and had a very...unsettling talk with me." She gripped the locket until their initials would be etched into her skin for minutes after. "She knows...of us. She told me I would never be with you, and that you were meant for a princess...someone of rank. I know it is true and I think it has just been bothering me." She reached up to push a curl away from her eyes. Risking a look up at Ezra then. "She wanted to drink some tea that would make the baby....I wouldn't be pregnant any longer. I refused." Kamaria pushed herself to her feet and moved over to Ezra. She reached out to take his hand.
"She told me that no male child born to me will be allowed to live. Ezra I....I think I need to leave the castle." Now here came the hard part. "I know that you cant-I wouldn't ask you to give up being king for me. But I would love to have you at my side."

He understood her worry and it was part of the reason his temper didn’t get the best of him. She was vulnerable because she didn’t necessarily ‘belong’. As much as he would like her to of course the fact still remained she was human and not an immortal. She wasn’t of royal blood and her position was as easily lost as it was taken. The king could find another to refill the spot in a matter of hours if he really wanted to. He also knew that the fact they were on shaky ground as it was for the matter of the pregnancy was enough reason to make his usually calm and stable woman lose all sense of reality. Her words caused him to soften his features and after a long moment he finally dropped eye contact and focused on the ground. His Princely stature was easily broken in front of her. Where he was to remain tall and above the people…. He saw her as his equal. ”I don’t hate you, Kamaria. I could never hate you even with our situation.” he spoke carefully. His words slow and steady as to not give whoever may be passing by reason to stop and overhear. It also made for a good way to cover up as it was a little harder to hear when his voice was low. His eyes moved towards her fingers that clutched the locket he had given her and a small tug at the corner of his lips was given. He was glad she kept wearing it. He knew it was risky but he also knew his father wasn’t that observant of a man sometimes. Something as simple as jewelry could easily be mistaken. Anyway, with as much of a hassle as things were, he supposed it was only a matter of time before he found out anyhow.
People had loose lips.
Her next set of words though caused a bit of a boil in his blood as she said his mother had pretty much cornered and in a lack of better words ‘threatened’ her and their unborn child. Though it were true that it was also a fair chance it was not his the situation didn’t sit well with him. Kamaria was his. She then continued on to say that his mother knew of the two of them. The only sign of movement that came from the immortal prince was a tick of his jaws. He held the highest respect for his mother as a son should however as an adult man he also had to draw a line of what his mother could and couldn’t do. She was queen, sure, but if she cared for the future she would tread carefully. Getting pregnant again would be the least of her concerns. ”I’m glad…. But I will be talking with her.” It was all he had to say on the matter. His mother would hear what he had to say and she would either like it or don’t but the matter was if she had any hopes for a future and her bloodline to carry on…. She would damn well listen to what he had to say.
She moved towards him and took his hand which he made a move to entwine their fingers. His eyes stayed on their hands looking at how perfectly her hand fit in his. It was almost like a perfect match to a puzzle piece. Grey eyes lift though when she said she was thinking of leaving. ”Don’t be dumb.” his words came out in a less than amused tone. ”Leaving would be detrimental if you went alone. However, I think you should let me see what I can work out.” no offense to Kamaria but he was her son and he was sure he could probably get by with a little more than she could. His mother could be cold-hearted, terrible to read, and a calculative wench but she wasn’t blind to her own kin. ”Just… let me try.” He lift their hands and turned to where the back of her hand faced him and he pressed his lips into it. ”Please. It would be harder out there than it is in here….”

He said he could never hate her and a small smile came to the woman's lips. The conversation had drifted to his mother then and she could see the tension in his handsome form. But then she mentioned leaving and his immediate retort made her pride burn. ”Don’t be dumb.” "I'm not." She argued weakly. Ezra always made her feel important when they were alone together, like her words were important and had just as much to contribute as his own. But those three words had burned her like a flame. She turned away, or rather she started to until she felt Ezra moving her hand to press his lips to the back of her hand.
She stared at their interlaced hands, not looking at his face she spoke. There was a hitch in her voice. Maybe because she was pregnant and emotional, or maybe she was just feeling vulnerable and the dumb comment had struck a nerve. "I cant make it on my own because I'm dumb right." She ask him, trying her best to keep her voice from cracking as she spoke. She didn't pull away from him. Not physically. But emotionally his careless words had left their mark.
"Ezra I...I don't want to warm Justus' bed anymore. I don't want to not wake up because the queen slipped something in my drink. But...if you want me to wait I will. Because I trust your judgment." She didn't see how things could be worse out there, not in that moment. But she didn't want to argue with him. He had never been so careless with his words, perhaps whatever had been bothering him in the hall was still haunting him. "....Maybe you should rest, Ezra. You seem....tired." She turned her dark eyes away from him then and carefully pulled her hand free of his own. Stepping over to his lavish bed she turned down the blankets as if to appeal to him. She, of course, wouldn't be staying. That was a rare luxury for her. Their situation hardly allowed her to wake up in the arms of the man she loved.
With both the king and Ezra she was nearly always left to return to her room, feeling as if she had nothing left to give and utterly lonely. It was harder with Ezra, because she actually did care about him. "You should rest, my love. For just a while." Her voice was soft but she kept her dark eyes averted from him. Still dealing with the sting of his earlier comment.

She took his words wrong and he did everything he could to keep from bursting at the seams. He was stressed and tired and those hellish vision and voices did nothing to soothe it. ”I said don’t BE dumb not that you are.” he corrected though his tone lacked amusement. She was touchy and her patience was thin because of the situation and hormones. This was something he was still trying learn. He sighed quietly. ”Just forget it.” He let his hand go of hers. He knew she didn’t want to stay because she was being used and it was understandable. Unless Justus was completely out of the picture there was no hope for her here. He sighed quietly and turned his back on her. ”I understand, Kai. I can’t make you stay and I can’t make you stomach being around the king neither but it's unsafe out there with you being pregnant and with the ---..” his jaws clamped shut. He wanted to see what he could work out with his mother and possibly his father but she had to give him a chance to do so.
She spoke about him being tired and he glanced at her with gray eyes. ”Price I pay for being a prince, hmm.” He was shutting down. This entire situation was out of both of their control and he hated it. Eyes followed her as she moved to rustle the bed a bit but he didn’t move towards it. He didn’t want to lay down not without her in it. Most of the time he wasn’t in bed because most of the time he would pass out sitting in chairs. He didn’t like sleep and especially didn’t like sleeping alone. Her soft voice beckoned him again and he simply shook his head no. ”I can’t.” Falling into bed was like falling into a trap that he wasn’t willing to toss himself into. His hands retreated to the pockets of his pants as he moved to lean back against the desk that sat behind him. ”Not without you in it.” He reasoned. He knew she wouldn’t and so that meant he wouldn’t either…. Besides… it was a lot easier than telling her he didn’t want to specifically because of terrors.
He could be uncharacteristically cruel and he knew it. Sometimes his good intentions tended to be covered by his untactful way of speaking. It was unlike him to be so careless and throw such abandon against the wind but he was steadily getting beat down by the pressures of his problems, her problems, and the want for control. ”Sorry for my words.” he said finally. ”I wasn’t intentionally trying to be an asshole.” He sighed and lifted a hand to squeeze the bridge of his nose exhaustion coming to surface. ”I worry about your safety and more than anything I worry one day you will just be gone.” it was a hard thing to stomach when it came to be so bare but with Kamaria he knew she needed to know. He had to be open with her. It was how they fell into this position of love in the first place. ”Losing you would be the death of me.” he said with a sort of finality to it. He wouldn’t remain alive without her. He refused to. ”Don’t hold it against me, Kai… I’m not trying to be cruel.” He hoped she would understand and take into consideration he was stressed over her welling being as any love would be. Unlike Justus, he did care, he cared more about her well-being than his own. ”I would sacrifice everything if it meant for you to be well taken care of.” His head bowed as his hand dropped to stabilize him on the edge of the desk as a woozy dizzy feeling started to hit him. He needed to rest and she was right but he refused to.

Kamaria didn't argue back with Ezra. She could tell he was on edge and anything she said would only make the situation worse. She looked down and filled with the locket he had given her in silence until he said he wouldn't sleep without her in his bed. But they both knew she couldn't. Ezra was especially cautious of such things, wise to what might happen if they were found out. But it didn't make it any easier to stomach. "If I could I would." She said weakly. She hated seeing him like this. Like he was coming apart at the scenes. And at times she felt that she was part of his problem. That had she not plagued him with even more worry that he might not be in such a fragile state.
He apologized and Kai shook her head as if to brush the apology off. "It't alright." The words that came after made her both happy and made her feel loved and made her heart sink. Because it was inevitable that one day he would be living without her. She didn't want him to give up just because she passed away. One day she would also be old and wrinkled while he was still youthful. It was hard to imagine him not growing bored with her then. His words terrified her because even if she were dead she wanted him to be alive, happy. Her heels clicked softly as the young woman took small steps across the room. Stopping in front of Ezra she would wrap her arms around him and rest her cheek against his shoulder.
"I am alright Ezra, everything will be alright, somehow. Come, I'll rest with you for a little while." She couldn't stay long, they both knew as much. But Ezra needed to get some rest before he had a complete breakdown. She reached down to take his hand with hers and if he would allow her she would lead him over to the bed. Pushing back the heavy blankets she slipped beneath them and scooted over to give him room. If he joined her she would snuggle against his side with a soft sigh. This. She loved this. Just being close to him, being there for him as much as he would allow her to. Kamaria was far from being a saint but for her prince she would move mountains.
"I won't leave, Ezra. Not until you will come with me."

He had hoped that would have been the drop of the subject of him going to bed. He rarely used the thing. It made him too comfortable with its inviting pillow top, warm blankets, and the way it made his bones feel relaxed after a hard day. The problem with it though was just that, if he got too comfortable if his body got too relaxed and he had a terror it was like he was stuck in sleep. It got tougher and tougher to wake up because of how exhausted he could make himself. Gray eyes watched as she fiddled with the locket and he gave a small crooked smile before allowing his eyes to drop to his feet remaining leaned back on the desk and his hands to keep him stable. He was glad she liked it and seemed to find comfort in the object that she quickly turned to it to fiddle with.
His head felt heavy and woozy. He knew what it was because he had felt it before. It was his lack of sleep catching up with him as well as the mere stress he put on himself. His incessant worry for Kamaria, for the child, for the future. He had quite a bit on his plate and unfortunately, the weight didn’t seem to the be getting any lighter. The sound of her heels heading his way caused his eyes to rise and meet with hers. She almost moved in slow motion as his reaction time was quite slow. Exhaustion could really mess with the bodies functions and brain. No less he fought through it and attempted to play it off like a champ. She wrapped her arms around him and rest against his shoulder and he quietly turned his head towards her planting a kiss at the top of her head towards her forehead. Her words put him at ease and yet at the same time he couldn’t help the sinking feeling he was getting. ”Only for a few minutes.” he tried to reason. ”A prince can’t lay around all day.” it was a pathetic jab at a joke. Primarily he just didn’t want to lay down. He moved with her from the desk and could feel a wave of dizziness hit him. His body felt heavy and if it wasn’t for Kamaria leading the way there was a good chance he would have been swaying. The real challenge was when she left his side and crawled at first. He started to lift himself up onto the bed but it was like all muscle function left him, his knee missed and the weight fell heavy. Half on the bed and half off he passed out.
Darkness enshrouded him but he could feel a presence…. A dark presence. The shadowy figure stood off in the distance in his mind. The longer he stood there watching him he noticed the figure was moving in on him and within seconds he quickly face to face with the man. His hands outstretched for his neck and a force to bring him to his knees taking control.
Gray eyes open but the held a blue tint and soon he shifted to where he was no longer leaning on the body. He brushed himself off with a sort of stiff sophistication and steadily lowered a glare towards Kamaria. ”Oh look at what you have done with yourself.” he tsked shaking his head as he crossed his arms. His voice sounded wrong. It was lower and far deeper than his usual tone. ”Little Kamaria getting herself into trouble…. As usual.” His tone mocked her a little but had a very condensing tone.”How is it I was the golden child and got shafted my turn at life and the problem child ruins her life and remains alive.” his tone soon turned malicious and hateful full of jealousy at the idea. ”You don’t deserve it, you know.”

He was right behind her, or he had been. Kai looked back to see if he would follow her into the bed but suddenly he fell. His torso landed on the bed but his long legs hit the floor and he was left in an odd kneeling position. Kai gasp and scrambled across the bed to him. Her fingers brushed against his cheek, over his forehead. He had pushed himself too far. No one could live like Ezra did. It wasn't healthy. "Ezra, love." She said gently, trying to coax him up onto the bed. She knew she couldn't lift him and getting help wouldn't be a good idea. She wasn't supposed to even be here.
Ezra thankfully moved, his gray eyes opening but looking strangely blue. He rose, acting in control and not in the least tired like she knew him to be. When he spoke his words were strange and didn't sound like her Ezra at all. What was going on? Kai pushed the blankets out of her way and climbed off the bed. Never dropping her dark eyes from Ezra's oddly blue ones. "Ezra?" She asked softly, feeling dumb for doing it. But the next statement made her hair stand on end. It sounded just like her brother, that had been one of his taunting jeers. He would call her little Kamaria, pretending to be affectionate but then do something cruel like stomp on her fingers or trip her. "I don't-" She didn't know what to say. She was shocked and confused. But Ezra-or...whoever it was, spoke again.
Kamaria's mouth dropped open and her heart beat faster in her chest. How...how was this happening? "Ezra, you're scaring me." She attempted weakly. One hand reaching out to gently settle on his arm. "Please stop this." ”You don’t deserve it, you know.” She stared at him, not feeling Ezra there but the dark looming presence of her older brother. Her old brother who had died when she was still but a child. The same boy she had always been compared to and would never live up to. Her lips quivered and Kai swallowed against the dry painful feeling in her throat.
"I know." She said quietly. Confused and stunned. But knowing exactly who she was dealing with now. "Did you hurt Ezra?" Her voice was shaking, afraid. Had he been possessed? What was this?

The spirit that had a hold of him was a strong one because of his weakened state mentally being unable to hold up a fight to keep him from taking over. Once his hands were around his throat and a push downwards to submit, Ezra could do nothing to fight back and simply fall to his knees. The weight of the body felt weird to the spirit but at the same time, it fit like a glove. He just had to get used to the weighted gravity of it. He felt the smooth fingers of Kamaria next to him and just as smoothly as he slid into the body, he stood. A towering sophisticated upright stand as he adjusted the clothing on him smoothening it out in a very mechanical manner. His bluish eyes overcast the grey ones that were the Prince’s natural color. The very hold on them was filled with enrage, demeaning jealousy.
A sort of snarl erupted from him that was neither animalistic nor human. It sounded unnatural the very way his face seemed to contort Ezra’s features. ”Wrongo.” He purred. ”I’m hurt little Kamaria that you don’t seem to remember me.” his tone floated effortlessly now as if it were a lyrical note. She begged him and he was enjoying every second of it. Yes, this is how it should be. She should be scared, She should fear what was coming next. She stared at him so confused and lost but then it was like a light went off in her head. Ah, there’s a good girl. He could see it now. ”Not yet.” he answered but then it was a like a wolfish expression crossed his features as he now leaned on the bed. She cared about this vessel so then maybe he could use that to his advantage. His weight was heavy on the bed indenting it as he scooted towards her, looming right into her with no sense of personal space. ” But I will if you don’t fix this.” He demanded. ”My rightful place is here! It’s not yours and you will give me your place.” he snatched her wrist with bruising force as he tugged her towards him finishing the space between them. ”And if you care for the vessel as much as you play as you do. You will heed my warning and do as I command. You will figure out how to trade places.”

Kamaria was afraid and confused. She was certain she knew that was her brother speaking, she couldn't mistake that voice or the way his words were always barbed. But Ezra...how was her dead brother speaking through Ezra. "Not yet." He said and the human girls eyes widened. A threat was given before he snatched her wrist with enough force to make her cry out, pulling back as hard as she could Kai refused to go any closer to him that she had to. As it was he had her wrist and her face was close, the rest of her form was pulling away like a dog at the end of a leash. "I don't know how to do that!" She gasped and tried to pry his fingers free with her opposite hand. The skin around where he held her already turning an angry pink.
"You're hurting me!" She said, a half whimper. "I don't know how to switch places with you! How are you even doing this to Ezra? Why would you hurt him? He hasn't done anything to you!" She was afraid and this Ezra imposter was too close. In a last-ditch attempt, she suddenly slapped him with her free hand. Her tan fingers stung and likely left a mark on his cheek. "Let me go!"

She was crying out in pain when he grabbed her wrist and for a moment blue faded to grey and then back again, brighter than ever as a malicious smile pressed itself on his lips. His head twisted a little unnaturally as he snickered at her pain. ”Oh I am!? great!” he said proudly. He tugged harder as she tried to snake away from him, pulling herself back as far as she could hurting herself in the process. ”Figure it out!” he demanded. ”You figure it out or I will take him, I will rip him from his body and keep it for myself.” He snarled. Though now that he thought about it a prince’s body would be rather nice. He started to loosen his hold on her as he thought more of it and that was when a blow came to him to the face. A hard slap in his face that nearly gave him a flashback to reality.
His head turned and eyes closed almost like a ball of anger building. Then instantly it faded. Jaws twitched for a moment hand pulling her wrist. ”Kamaria.” a single word, her name and the voice that came with it was Ezra’s natural voice. He didn’t look at her but it was clear a look of embarrassment had now displayed itself on his face. ”I’m sorry.” He shifted now to sit properly on the bed. ”We should have waited to meet until I had a little more ground underneath me…. Then that wouldn’t have happened.” he felt incredibly dumb. No one really knew of his power though truthfully the only one closest to knowing was his mother. It was hard to hide things from her. She figured it out always as it must be a mother thing. Mothers even ones who seemed to not really be around the young still had this mother sense of just knowing. He supposed her power was what gave him his own. ”Did I hurt you?”
