The dashing assassin was at it again. When the clock struck midnight, the human kingdom of Emberi went to bed, hushed by the night sky that loomed over it with stars. Darkness ruled the area, the perfect place for an assassin to be. Well, for a jester perhaps. The silly man wobbled as he walked along the rooftops, carefully placing his feet over each other as he tried to make his way across the tiles without being detected. Some guards patrolled the streets but little did they know of the danger that lurked high above. The rooftops were a great place for one such as him, stealth and precision could be made as he took his time strolling along but every once in a while ducking to avoid detection. Well, so far he hadn't been spotted. But this wasn't his destination. His true rendezvous laid up ahead, in the great castle that stood tall high over the little houses that seemed to dwarf in comparison. But that was no hard task. That would be very easy to such a great assassin such as him. Once he reached the magnificent walls he was lucky enough to see some carts going through. His eyes poked above one roof as he peered down, the guards asking the identity of whomever sought passage. This would be very easy indeed. Tiptoeing his way across the smaller building silently, Pierre made his way down by climbing gently. He made his way walking toward the guard and announcing who he was, despite his rather grim appearance wearing a dark suit that covered most if not all of his features. Not even Pierre, the Great Jester of the Immortal Court was granted entry. Instead they told him to turn around and head back to where he came from. Oh how his plans were foiled!
Even as he tried to get in with the few other carts that were granted passage, Pierre had to think of a more clever way to get into the castle. Looking upward he could see one dimly lit room way up above. But however was he going to get there? His attention turned to the next cart that had passed, an old man brining in some wares that seemed rather... sticky. Pierre was so sneaky that he was able to steal them from the cart as he walked by, saying hello to the old man and guards while bumping into the cart, grabbing four of them which was rather suiting. When he was done the immortal gleefully kicked his legs into the air as he made his way alongside the castle's wall, toward the gardens as he was obscured by the tall hedges. There were no guards present in that area, for it seemed impossible to get past, but he was determined to make it up to that room. Placing each of the substance onto his hands and feet the clever assassin made his way up climbing the stone, occasionally slipping but maintaining his balance. He soon made his way up to the window, which was smaller than he had previously thought. His head and shoulders made their way through, but his legs got stuck as they dangled from the outside. He wormed his way in, wiggling his body until he plopped onto the ground with a thump.
Pierre dusted himself off and looked at his surroundings. He had to make sure that this task was done before sunrise exactly, before he would return to his duties as a jester. He looked again at his list as he brought it out. Meridious Risgar. A member of the King's Personal Guard. He didn't know why he was targeted but Pierre didn't question who gave him these tasks. Looking down at the list he walked forward, not noticing where he was going until he felt he bumped into someone's chest. "Sorry," he apologized, looking up and smiling apologetically.
