Magical Ability:
[break]Element of Fire

[break]
Appearance:
Dragon Form: Monsterous with large fangs, thick black scales and smokey, yellow eyes, Drekharn is the evil black dragons families tell their children about in stories. In his old age the dragon is easily larger than one of the human castles that sit so proudly at the top of the mountains.
[break]
Human Form: As a human Valanor has a stocky appearance and looks no older than forty years of age with short fiery red hair and the same piercing blueish grey eyes he has in his dragon from. Standing at six feet tall, the half human, half elven looking man carries himself with a strong intimidating confidence and often wears clothing that fits to his profession and disguise.
[break]
Personality:
Reserved, unforgiving, guilt ridden, secretive and destructive, Valanor is a man whose troubles outweigh the good in life. If not for a promise that he made to a human woman who he had once loved the creature may well have killed himself long ago. Alone in his exile, the dragon has often disagreed with the ways of his kind. They all choose to hide in fear, when together with one of the mortal armies they could become great again. Once a creature that devoured cities, that stuck fear into human, immortal and elf a-like too had to go into hiding. In his age the dragon learnt from a human, the kindness that could be another creatures heart and although he tries to redeem himself, the chains of guilt still haunt him.

[break]As hidden criminal, a fiend of war and a terror that once roamed the skies causing fear in the hearts of men. Every day he learns more of the mortal heart and knows that they will never truly understand him. Despite his faults, he tries. Although he is a man, he has long been granted permission to serve as a smith for elven armies, under the guise he was granted immortality by the goddess of darkness, to live with his sins as a curse for betraying her. Capable of love, yet not willing to submit himself to a single individual and despite everything that haunts him he often gives his best efforts to indulge himself or cause trouble.

History:
Once a creature known for destruction, Drekharn now known to the world as Valanor was a terror of the skies. Back then his purpose was to burn, to hurt, to abuse, to defile all that stood in his way and he did. Ever since the beginning of time he can remember feeling pleasure in the pain that he sought to unleash upon the world, as if it was retribution for his own pain. As a hatchling Drekharn was poorly treated, enslaved and forced to do things against his will until finally he broke and mindlessly agreed to the work that was set before him. A dragon can only be tamed for so long and when the time came that he was finally able to break free, Drekharn devoured his master and took to the skies to find his own home.

Originally he returned to his kind, in the hopes they might welcome him into their arms. And where he had expected maybe a shred of kindness or consideration from his story, the other dragons could not see past his wrong doings and thus condemned him to receive his own torture. After over a thousand years of what could only be described as a life of isolation and pain, Drekharn was finally set free to live among the dragon kind who had become wimps in the face of the races that leeched from the earth. In his revival, so came his exile. Refusing to stay within the bounds of secrecy the dragons so adamantly tried to force upon him, the dragon was not a creature whose will was to be so easily stepped on and so, he left to live a human life.

Humanity was much more complex than he first would have thought, the creatures with the gold they so sparingly shared with one another spat on the lower of their race and in turn spat on him. Hatred for these people known as nobility boiled beneath his veins, and with this hatred he inspired a group of human beings to rise up against their superiors to create chaos among the humans and for a short time he succeeded. Aristocracy among the human race was left in turmoil after the lower ranking districts of their people rose up in open rebellion and toward the end of that time, Drekharn disappeared for another two hundred years until he resurfaced again as a Valanor, a blacksmith. Forging weapons from raging fires, the dragon made trade for itself and eventually requested to live among the elves. Serving their army, for the future to come.
