"Deep blue?" He repeated quizzically. What an odd color for wings. He was glad to hear that Killian was for the most part alright and nodded to show he had heard him. The words that followed were uncomfortable for him. Emotions, in general, made his skin crawl. But this was being weak. This was Djinn saying, hey I'm pretty messed up. Don't hate me. His blue eyes lingered on Killian as he spoke. The hint of a grin following Killian's last words. "Alright." But he made no offer to go into details. Not on this night. Not when so much had already been thrown up between them. Not when Killian was injured and Djinn's own emotions were bouncing from one end of the spectrum to the other.
He slowly climbed to his feet and moved around the fire to sit down beside Killian. His hand moved forward to thread his fingers through the felines although he made no other move to touch him. He had meant what he said. He wouldn't touch Killian like that again. He didn't want to be the one to make him feel like a thing and not a person. His pale thumb rolled slowly over the back of Killin's hand. Blood had seeped into the wrinkles of his knuckles from the night before. His rings that he wore being dented and boasting a coat of blood as well.
"You should rest more then, tiger." He said with a smirk while leaning his head back against the stone wall. "....because I think this will be a battle and a half." He laughed softly at the not funny not joke and dropped his gaze to the flames in front of them.
(sorry this is short)

He shrugged as he repeated what he said. ”Your eyes are blue.” it was a dumb reason sure but well what could he say he had a very wild imagination. He remained hunkered down though as the silence swept over the two of them when he finished speaking. He hoped that Djinn at least believed some of it and would take it into account that no he wasn’t lying. He wouldn’t just abandon him just because he had some issues. There wasn’t a person in this world who didn’t have them and judging one person for it was stupid. Besides he had his own issues as well and Djinn hadn’t said much about it except once and that was when he was being stubborn and not letting Djinn in. When he thought he didn’t need to be ‘protected’. As he spoke up, he gave a faint grin and a nod of his head willing to leave it there.
His eyes drift back towards the fire but were surprised when Djinn made his way over to him. That hadn’t been something he expected as he was sure he meant what he said and that was all contact. However, the man grabbed his hand and entwined their fingers together. Killian felt his heart flutter and his stomach do flips. The feeling he had over him was nauseating but it was a good kind of nauseating. The kind he didn’t really mind. Shifting his weight a bit he allowed his shoulder the move into Djinn’s as he leaned. He glanced at him as he spoke and rolled his eyes. ”Don’t call me tiger.” He teased as he bumped his head into his shoulder before lifting it up and resting it back on the wall. ”I am a jaguar. That’s like an insult.” He feigned a little bit of a heartache and gave Djinn a small pout though knew he was fully playing as it was a saying. ”Probably but I feel like I already slept and going to sleep again is wasting valuable time.” Valuable time for what he didn’t know but he was too restless to actually fall asleep. Despite his body feeling weighed down into nothing his brain was going a mile a minute jumping from one thing and onto the next.
”Where are you going from here?” he asked almost talking to just be talking. It wasn’t really any of his business but for the time being, it would satisfy his curiosity as to what the mysterious troublemaker Djinn did when their time was spent apart because the last time they separated Killian obviously was the one getting into trouble.

"Yeah...s'pose I shouldn't talk about tigers like that." He joked, poking at the felines lineage. A single eyebrow rose at the mention of wasting valuable time. "You're going to wake up dead if you don't take it easy, cat. I know you heal quickly but apparently theres something still going on in there that needs time. Pace yourself. You're free now, no need to rush." He half smiled. His blue eyes moved down to watch Killian bump against his shoulder in a very feline manner. The desire to reach out and touch beyond holding his hand was very much there but he wasn't going to overstep. Not again. He might be a lot of things but he wasn't someone to force himself on anyone.
Djinn shrugged at the question Killion posed. "I may spend another couple nights around here, until the next brawl. More coin and all that. After that, I don't really know. I usually just choose a direction and walk. Don't really have a reason to go to Cendra anymore." He smirked, of course referring to Killian. The man had been the only worker he had wanted or bothered with. There was an addictive quality to him that couldn't be ignored. He hated to break the peace that had come over them, didn't want to lose the contact of Killian's hand. But he needed to pull back, get himself back in the right state of mind.
He couldn't have Killian. And he needed to accept that. Killian didn't deserve to be saddled with a bastard like him. Not when he had just found his freedom as it stood. He wasn't about to weigh him down with all of his transgressions. "...I should probably get going...find out where I need to be and all that." But he didn't move. Slowly he reached up to let his fingers gently touch the line of Killian's jaw, tilting his head softly. And in a selfish move he leaned in to claim his lips. Hungry with need and emotion. But he didn't touch him otherwise. His hand even fell away to keep from restraining him as he apparently had a tendency to do. "You can always say no, Killian. To me. To anyone. Like you told me, you don't have to do things anymore."
He forced a smile and sat back gently breaking his hand free of Killians he began to stand. Unfolding his long limbs as he got to his feet. His remaining wings fluttering out proudly to shimmer in the firelight.

He liked staying on the move. That was something Djinn probably could identify with… kind of. For Killian he had missed so much he wanted to catch up on everything. He didn’t want a chance at missing something exciting. As he spoke, his eyes were pointed up at him. A playful curious gleam in them even as Djinn scolded him about needing to slow down. Clearly, he still couldn’t move around like he usually did but that wasn’t something he wanted to slow him down. ”I can’t wake up if I am dead,” he commented back. ”Besides I am not fully free if I have people still chasing me.” His head drifts backward against the wall tipping up but his eyes were pointed down almost looking as though they were closed. ”I won’t be free until I am forgotten.”
His next set of words caused him to nod his head and giving a halfhearted smile. ”I am sure you will wind up there again.” he didn’t believe he had been the only one even if he were living there and witnessed it himself. He supposed he was just being hard on himself though to believe Djinn had that deep of a liking to him or maybe it was his way of refusing to so he wouldn’t end up with crushed feelings. If he knew there were others it made some of the things he says – such as never touching him again – easier to swallow. Sadly though it didn’t take the pain away. His words pulled him from his thoughts and he frowned a little but nodded. ”I figured it was coming.” He wasn’t about to hide his disgruntled view on it. He was never quiet about Djinn departure even when he was a worker and it would likely not change now. Eyes dropped for a moment catching the movement of Djinn’s hand and allowed him to tip his head up. Lips pressed into his and he pushed a little forward but all was lost. The fairy pulled back before he could get lost in it. Every aspect of him was buzzing from the high as his lips tingled where the kiss had sat. He wanted more.
The voice of his companion caused his eyes lift to meet the pale blue ones. He heard the words but hadn’t said anything back as Djinn was climbing to his feet. A sort of anxiety was climbing up his chest and clenching his throat tight. He didn’t want him to go. Not yet. He knew it was inevitable but if he could prolong it just for a few more seconds.
Without a second thought Killian pushed up into a stand also and before Djinn could turn to walk again he grabbed him by the wrist to stop him from furthering distance. There was an eager persistence as he pressed into him without hesitation and found his lips with his own once more. He didn’t make a move to be provocative as it was not what the moment was about but it was a return of emotion. The need and the want were there as he deepened it, letting the kiss linger before hesitantly releasing his hold. ”But to you, I want to say yes.” His voice shaky but not out of fear just a rush of emotion. His eyes finally lift after a long moment of keeping them submissively low and pointed towards his chest. He placed a hand on Djinn’s side to keep himself steady. The fairy had him all kinds of weak in the knees. ”I know you said you wouldn’t ---…” he frowned but didn’t finish his words instead just switched them. ”I wanted a better-leaving kiss than the one you gave me.” a forced smile as he steadily let go of him and bent down to pick up the jacket. ”You probably wanna take this with you.” he held it out to him though obviously rattled. He wanted to do more but Djinn said he wouldn’t.

Djinn's forehead wrinkled at Killian's words. "That's not true at all." He argued. "It just makes freedom taste a little sweeter. Every moment feel like it could be your last. Whats not to love about that?" Djinn's head would be summarily served up on a platter if he were ever captured and actually thrown into jail. The list of charges would be a mile long and the nobles lobbying for his skin would be deafening. Perhaps they would keep his wings as a trophy on their wall.
Killian seemed unhappy he was leaving and if he were to be perfectly honest he didn't want to go. He wanted to sit here and ask Killian all the things about him that he didn't know. What were his dreams, his deepest darkest fears, his aspirations? But he wasn't the sort of person to do those things. They were much too normal. Much too telling. He licked his lips and pressed them together after the all too brief kiss. His long legs stretching, one popping softly as he stood. He didn't expect Killian to follow. Feeling his wrist being grabbed it took an effort to not just react, his jaw ticking as he schooled his muscles to calm. But then Killian was against him and all of his thoughts floated away. Without even thinking his free hand rose to snake around the nape of Killian's skull. His fingers spreading wide as he pushed back against him as the kiss deepened. His heart rate rising as he lost himself in the moment, in the most dangerous addiction he could have.
And then Killian was gone. He blinked against the sudden loss and turned his gaze away when Killian spoke. Something gave in his chest at those sweet words. Words that took his breath until he remembered to breathe. He fought to keep his face emotionless as he processed it all. He didn't reply. It was the only way. If he did he would end up saying things he shouldn't. He would end up pushing the feline in a direction that he hadn't wanted earlier and Djinn found it hard to believe that he did now. He never wanted to hurt him. Ever. It was why he tried to keep his distance, but fuck if it wasn't hard.
He reached down and grabbed Djinn's jacket but the fae hesitated. He could always get another one, he had just earned enough coin to feed himself plus a lot of other people for a while. He could splurge on another jacket. Besides...he wanted Killian to have something of his. He would never admit it out loud, and it wasn't so much as stating his territory as much as it was just reassuring to him. He could do this one thing and maybe not be completely forgotten. "Keep it." He shrugged. "I was needing a new one anyway, that ones getting old." It wasn't, but he needed some reason that wasn't. I want you to have it.
He grinned and took a step back, then another. Swiveling on his heel he moved off into the darkness and tossed a half wave over his shoulder. "Take care of yourself, Tiger."

The kiss left him buzzing and even more so when Djinn returned it. If it were possible he was pretty sure his heart might explode and only encouraged him to go further. This though was not meant to be provocative and he wasn’t trying to make it that way. It was more of a quiet response to the one he received from the fairy just moments ago. It took a lot of will power to pull away knowing he was crossing a line that Djinn made clear he didn’t want to cross again. But was it the same if he initiated it? So he did, pulling his head back just the slightest so their lips were barely touching but lingering close until Djinn got the point and released his hold on the back of his neck. Hazel eyes were almost gleaming with the rise of his feline.
Once he was let go he used that moment to just separate them even more. The jacket was a perfect excuse and he did his best to give it back but there was a hesitation in Djinn. Killian narrowed his eyes a little bit before his partner spoke. He was barely without the thing and he was just giving it away? His arm lowered a bit as he continued to explain that he needed a new one anyways. ”oh.” Was all he could muster to say. Djinn was grinning at him though and stepping backwards and all instinct was telling him to follow but he dug his weight into his feet to keep him stilled. He scoffed a laugh and shook his head at Djinn’s words before he disappeared in to the shadows. ”Stay reckless, Djinn.” [thread end]
