It was an early morning. Carlisle had allowed the two men to stay downstairs but sadly he had no extra beds to offer. He had however given them blankets and pillows. Erin, of course, was up before sunrise, screeching from her bed for attention and a groggy Carlisle had obliged. After feeding and changing the infant Carlisle headed downstairs to set about making sure his tools and work area would be clean for the day ahead. Being as quiet as he possibly could as to try not to wake the men. One of which it turned out was already gone. He placed a finger to his lips to encourage Erin's silence but she only jabbered and cackled all the louder.

When Luhan got to his feet Carlisle felt a bit of guilt at likely waking the man, Erin, however, was ecstatic that her antics had worked and now the man with cat like features was awake. He turned to look over his shoulder at the young fellow and smiled. "Morning, sorry if we woke you. Erin doesn't really sleep in." Recalling the tea he had prepared upstairs while thinking about Luhan's morning sickness he turned and walked over to the small pot he had sitting off to the side. Still very hot and steaming. After pouring a cup of it he strode over to where Luhan sat and handed it down to him.

"We are doing well. How are you? Still nauseated?"

Carlisle's gaze followed his to the door before turning back to Luhan. "I haven't but we haven't been up very long either." His shoulders rose in a small shrug. Carlisle sat down on one of the stools that he kept downstairs. Crossing his ankles in a relaxed way he watched smiling as Erin snatched at the man's tail, giggling all the while. For an instant, she had snatched his tail and Carlisle nearly stood up to convince her release the cat's tail. But then the tail slipped away only to wag in front of her temptingly again.

Luhan's words brought Carlisle's attention back to him, he frowned with confusion. Why would he mind if he played with Erin? Carlisle didn't trust strangers around her of course but he was sitting right there watching them. "Of course not." He said smiling and then laughed when Erin stuck part of his tail into her mouth and immediately spit it out when the hairs touched her tongue. A look of confusion on her adorable face. "Ladon seems very concerned for you." Carlisle said while looking back at the man. "I wish I could have given you both more answers."

Carlisle watched the two of them play with a smile. Erin was certainly enjoying herself and it looked as if Luhan was also. At the mention of Ladon Carlisle couldn't help but think of Ea. Someone who had his thoughts more often than not. It wasn't healthy to be so enamored by someone. "He seems to know how to take care of himself and if it means your safety I'm sure he would prefer to be the one in danger." Of course he didn't know either of them all that well. But it hadn't been that long ago that a distraught Ladon had stumbled into his office spewing questions and eventually breaking down with worry over 'someone'. That someone was obviously Luhan.

When asked if he could hold Erin Carlisle was a little surprised but stood and moved over to infant. Picking her up he then sat down on the floor in from of Luhan, his long legs crossed and the tiny tot sitting on his lap. "Here you are." He said and handed her over. Sitting her on Luhan's lap and waiting for him to get a hold on her before releasing. She was thankfully old enough that there was no longer any need to support her neck. Her little hands were already grabbing at Luhan's clothing, she stuffed a wad of his shirt into her mouth and chewed away happily. "Have you been around many babies? Family? Friends?"

Carlisle watched the two of them interact with a smile. When Luhan said he had little experience with babies he nodded. "Well Erin is certainly fond of you." It took some time to get comfortable around infants, for him it did at least. But once you were it felt easy, fluid. At the mention of a woman at the ball Carl looked up with surprise and a soft blush settled into his cheeks. He could either be speaking of his time dancing with Eriu or perhaps seen him with Ea in brief passing. Ea's hair was a brilliant red, long and beautiful. He could have been mistaken for a woman perhaps.

"Ah yes, a friend of mine. Eriu. Unless you saw red hair and then you might be speaking of Ea. But he's not a woman." Carlisle's sexuality was a mystery to many. He rarely came out and said anything about it. His mother presumed he was only interested in women, or maybe she was just delusional. Ea though had caught his attention rather quickly and was most certainly male. He didn't feel that Luhan would be one to pass judgment either way. It was...comforting. Carlisle watched the two of them playing. "Teething, most likely. She is chewing on anything and everything that gets near her mouth right now."

He hadn't really thought about it but he did really know a lot of people whose names started with E. He frowned slightly as Luhan spoke of the ball. He preferred...not to think of it. He hadn't really been hurt but he had been forced to watch while frozen in one spot. And then seeing the guards beating Ea... He blinked and looked to Luhan's face where he lay back. A little more serious now. "I'm glad you are alright..many who attended the ball were not." A cute fae...Eriu maybe? She had drawn many an eye. He needed to check up on her, make sure she was alright. But he had no address to do so.

Carlisle smiled strangely when he said the dancing was nice. He had only a moment with Ea before the disaster had struck. But it had been nice. Erin giggled when her chubby cheeks were poked. Turning her head with more speed than one might assume she possessed she latched ahold of Luhan's finger with her tiny little nubs of teeth. Grasping his hand with her chubby fingers she began to chew on his finger, using him as her own personal teether. "You and Ladon are official then? The last time we spoke he seemed so nervous to admit anything about you, as if the information was dangerous." Carlise, of course, wouldn't say anything. His patients were none of anyone's business.

His dark eyes quickly moved away when Luhan's questions shifted in nature. "I do. It is...very new. I haven't generally had relationships in the past, not ones that meant much at least. And since Erin was left on my doorstep I haven't really been on dates either." A small shrug. "I suppose all I can do is see how things go. "You and Ladon have been together a while?"
