He has a knight's build at 6'2", 220 pounds. His hair is short and brown, and he has blue eyes. Normally he is clean shaven but has been known to show a little scruff at times. Since he has a prominent position as one of the five personal guards for the King and Queen, he keeps his weapons and armor in tip top shape and shine, and has a military bearing about him. He's handsome, but by no means the most handsome man in the realm. He carries himself with poise and confidence, and strides with a fervent gait.

He's the strong but silent type. Reserved. He only lets his guard down when he gets to know a person, then he becomes more out going. He's polite and respectful, chivalrous even when dealing with the public. However, he will let the blood flow if needbe. His mantra: Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet. Meridious is fiercely loyal to the king, almost to a fault. Almost being the key word. He has a measure of sense about him and reasonable intelligence. Having dealt with many different types of people during his time in the military, knighthood, and most recently the promotion to kingsguard, he's developed a good BS detector. His reserved demeanor, even with the king, has put him on the low end of the totem pole, often drawing him the crappy shifts for kingsguard duty, but he's fine with that. One trait that stands out though, is the mystery about him. He's a well adjusted, handsome man with status among the kingsguard yet he has no wife, no children, and he doesn't seem to be any rush to find one.

History:

He is the only child to his parents, who had him in their 40s. Meridious grew up in a middle class environment, where his parents worked him hard and instilled in him a good work ethic from an early age. When he came of age to join the military, he did just that and followed in his father's footsteps. He served as a infantryman, and that's where he learned his martial prowess. He started out quite terrible at it, so he devoted twice as much time to honing his skills than the rest, often times to the point of earning scorn from his peers and superiors in his chain of command. Part of this "over training" was developing the skill to dual wield a longsword and a mace. This benefited him greatly. His skill blossomed and before long he was competing in tournaments, where he earned respect and some notoriety about him over the course of many years. Eventually he earned knighthood, and then, most recently, the honor of being a part of the King's Guard.

He resides in the Kingsguard quarters, which are quite nice with amenities not normally seen even in the domiciles of the upper class. This location is not far from the king's chambers at the main palace. He has a medieval equal to a German Shepard dog named Flash.
