Odom Ragnarson is handsome in a rugged sort of way. He looks out at the world through blue eyes. The top of his head is cover dark brown hair that is very long, pulled away from his face and tied in a knot at the back of his head. Standing at a height of 5 feet 10 inches, Odom is muscular with long legs and strong arms. He is able to easily run for long distances and ride his horse for long periods of time, readily able to fight when needed and well trained with the sword and knife. He has a large, curved scar from right brow to top of cheek and a scar on left cheekbone with various sword and knife scars on various parts of his body.

Odom usually wears dark clothes. As he is also a warrior he also wears a black leather vest with his family crest on the front to help protect him in a sword or knife fight. The pommel of his sword is an ancient piece of amber that he found as a child washed into a stream. He kept it thinking it was a gift from the gods and when he had a sword made for him by a smithy also had him smooth the amber and placed in the end of the grip. Unwittingly it has become his persona, identifying symbol as there are no other swords like it.

Personality:

Odom has a wicked sense of humor but is also brave and fair minded. Physically Fit as well as fearless he also likes to drink ale and is a ladies man, loving women from near and far. He never pushes himself on a woman but won't turn many down, either. He can be a scoundrel when he wants to be but seldom starts fights, although he has been known to stop a few.

Being the middle son Odom takes very little seriously. When he's not hunting, drinking or fighting he's chasing women. But he's loyal to his family. Coming from a family of four men it's not hard to be loyal to a fault and yet be somewhat on the lazy side.

History:

Odom is the middle son of Ragnar and Leda. The family of sons lived on a farm located in the Rhealms of Mir bordered on the north by the Nihla Ocean, the east by the Drythwood Forest and the west by the Mire River. The brothers are three years apart, respectively. When Odom was three years old his mother died in childbirth. He has vague memories of his mother but his baby brother has no memories of her at all. They both know her from what their older brother has told them as well as their father.

Each of the brothers have their own chores to perform on the small farm where they live. They raise vegetables but also have a small herd pf goats. But they supplement their food by raising chickens, fishing in the river and the ocean and by hunting big game such as deer, elk, etc. But all of Ragnor's sons were trained with the sword, the knife and the bow.

Being boys, the brother play fought and horsed around all their lives. Each has their own scars from such fights.

Living so close to the Drythwood Forest he has gotten to know a few Elves as he moved in and out of the forest to hunt on occasion. Since he was a boy they knew he meant no harm and have known him and been friends with him on into adulthood. Several he knew as children and became long time friends with them.

The Sword: Odom was trained by his father to fight and defend with the sword. On the hilt of his sword is a round piece of ancient amber he found as a child. His sword was made by a local smithy who had once been a sword maker for the King and specialized in making the best swords available.

The Knife: Knife fighting was similar to his sword training. Loosing his father's knife he was given another one found after the storm. Odom cleaned it and made it his own.

Bow and Arrow: In order to hunt smaller animals Odom was also taught to use the bow and arrow. With practice he learned to bring down a squirrel in a tree or a rabbit in the bushes as well as a big buck or an attacking wolf. His aim is deadly.

The Horse: Odom rides a white horse named Arion, named after an immortal, extremely swift horse. It is called a palfrey, a type of horse that was highly valued as a riding horse. It was a lighter-weight horse, usually a smooth gaited one that can amble, suitable for riding over long distances. Palfreys were not a specific breed.
