[attr="class","bsmain"] [attr="class","bsimg"] [attr="class","bslyric"] [attr="class","bslmarg"] [attr="class","bsltmarg"] [attr="class","bsbody"]Her return from Cendra was not exactly a happy trip as she found the nobles and the king waiting for her. As usual she was met with the same irritable words for her departure without taking more than two guards. Any more than she had taken however and she would be dealing with a much worse situation. The moment she was through all of that, the meetings and all of the duties of her position she was off to bed. Her mind would not let her stay there, however, as she was nudged awake by her own thoughts. The peace was not as stable as people wanted to hope for and she felt that in every bone on her body. When she traveled to other nations and saw how people lived, how they interacted, that was how she knew it would not last. How could their be peace when her people lived in squalor in the human realms, there was little room for others even in one of the most tolerant nations. Climbing out of her bed, she slipped an overcoat on top of her flowing gown. Quietly she slipped out of the home, down the steps and past the guard. Her foot steps were almost entirely non-existent when it came to sound, she had done this many times before tonight. It only took her fifteen minutes to get outside of the city, she was getting better at dodging the patrols otherwise she would not have made it alone. With lantern in hand she wandered through the dark trees with nothing but the sound of the owls and night bugs. It helped her think to be out here in this hour, to wrap her mind around all the things she had seen and heard. Strangely enough she was even considering the fate of the human girl who had shown her kindness by obliging her strange request only several days before. Would such a day come where people saw past the horns, the ears and tails? Were they too long lived to ever forget the horrors of the past and move on, she wondered. Without realizing it she happened upon anothers camp in the forest, so lost in thought was she. When she finally looked up she noticed that a fire was made here. There were no bed rolls, no tents, only a simple fire. The flames were barely a breath away from death themselves but her mind suddenly kicked into alert. She was alone out here and she had not brought a weapon with her since she was not going far. There were a few foot steps in the dirt to indicate that whatever was here had left but she did not know if it would return. If it were an elf she assumed they would have entirely destroyed the fire to protect their home. Often humans left smoldering coals with no supervision thinking that they could not relight themselves. Luiniel crouched down and began to toss dirt onto the fire. If the traveller did return she might feel bad but she had a duty to protect their home first. @tag x words x notes [attr="class","cred"]MADE BY VEL OF WW + GS[newclass=.bsmain]width:400px;background-color:#fbfbfb;padding:20px;border:solid 1px #eee;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsimg]width:400px;background:url('http://i.imgur.com/5T1i6Md.jpg');height:200px;border-bottom:solid #333 10px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslyric]font-size:20px;color:#333;font-family:georgia;text-transform:uppercase;text-align:left;padding:10px;line-height:30px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg]margin-top:71px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg span]font-size:38px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsltmarg]margin-top:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody]font-size:10px;color:#333;font-family:verdana;text-align:justify;padding:20px;line-height:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody span]font-size:9px;text-align:center;line-height:20px;opacity:0.9;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass]

| It had been a long day and it was slowly starting to wind down again. His head felt fuzzy with thoughts and though he knew he should start heading off into town to try and find work somewhere... anywhere ... he couldn't quite bring himself to that point yet. He'd just lost his job at the ranch he worked at for years because his boss had been a racist against a werewolf he was close to. As it were the immortal man barely saved her from a near death as all the ranchers were aiming to kill her. He was told that if he left with that wolf he wouldn't be allowed back. He did what any man would do but apparently, he chose wrong. Much like before she was gone and he was left with nothing but his thoughts to keep him company. He hated being so enveloped in his own feelings and thoughts that he became obsessed with them. What was it about that darn werewolf that enraptured his thoughts so! It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair she could just run off and he is left twiddling his thumbs trying to figure out what to do next. It would be easier if he knew what she was hiding.
He was beginning to lose heat from the fire he pretty much stared at the entire time. He knew with the on coming night that there was no chance for survival when creepy crawlies and stalking beasties roamed around in the shadows. Tonight wasn't the night he really wanted to end up dead neither. Sighing quietly he pushed himself up into a stand to saunter off and go find some more kindling. He supposed he could give himself the night and then he would force himself to head into one of the near by cities and find something to do with his time instead of moping around for a girl who obviously wasn't moping around for him.
It took a little bit but he finally was able to gather enough to give him some more light and easily finding things around the small fire to keep it lit for the night. As he started to head back to the small campfire he noticed someone hovering over it and tossing dirt on the coals he worked hard to keep hot. "Whoa! hey! I was using that!" his voice came out in a harsher tone than he intended but frustration crept in. "Now I have to start all over. What the hell lady!" He growled. "You mind telling me what you are doing?"

It did not take long to smother the remaining embers of the fire. Once she was satisfied she stood up and breathed a sigh of relief. Fires happened often in the forests of her home due to careless travelers. It was always her job to dispatch relief to the areas and the affected villages when it reached them. This way she managed to preemptively stop that from potentially happening. It wasn't until a few moments later that she became aware of the foot steps approaching. A strange man made his disdain for her actions clear as he approached. He must have been the traveler using this fire. A part of her felt bad for undoing his hard work but not entirely. Lu had only done her duty as she saw fit. " Apologies. I was not aware that someone would be returning." she said sincerely. She bowed her head slightly to him before doing a quick scan of him. It was important to be sure he was not a threat to her as she was alone out here and only possessed one rather inadequate weapon when it came to a true melee. Everything in her wanted to reply to his question with the authority of her office. That he dared question her motives here of all places. Lu managed to put a lid on her emotional reaction and calmly shook her head at him. " Having a stroll in my own homeland. It should be I who asks the questions of you, traveler." she replied evenly. She tried to keep hostility from her tone despite being met with it. It would not do to escalate an unknown situation as he could be from one of many nations. " You are a long way from home and in the heart of the Elven kingdom. Perhaps a little more caution is advised." she said. Her hand motioned to the trees around, the density of the forest something to be ware of when leaving coals unattended.

| He wasn't usually aggressive upon first meeting but it was frustrating when something you worked at hard maintaining was completely ripped out from underneath you. He puffed a bit, his lips parting as she spoke with such an even calm and soothing voice. Right. He needed to watch his tone. "Sorry, I'm just a tad frazzled is all." he said and let his hand brush over the top of his hair for a moment. Eyes lingered now on the smoldering embers beneath the dirt that would take a miracle to bring back to life. "I wasn't intentionally trying to leave it unattended. I just needed more kindling to keep it going." His voice was much calmer now as he reassessed what it was he was doing. It wasn't right to unintentionally attack someone who was simply trying to keep the forest from burning down. it was his fault after all... Much like everything else.
It was when she spoke up again saying it was her own homeland. Whoa. Wait. His head tipped a bit as he analyzed her wording. He knew where he was of course. He was looking for work in any where he could find it and elves weren't above working with horses. "I suppose I just got off the beaten path is all." he said carefully. "There is nothing wrong with strolling anyways. I suppose it's myself who had the issue. Not you." He then decided he should clear the air and just introduce himself. Maybe it would chill the tension that arose because of his hasty return. "I'm Enzo, Enzo Chance." He said. He understood that the elven people were very into their forests and he also guessed that an unattended fire meant trouble. "I really don't mean any harm, Miss." just a misguided wanderer was more like it. His head full of things that he wished he could just clear and get over. If only he could use his own power on himself. Wouldn't that be a dream?

Somehow an apology was not what she had expected. For a brief moment she stood sort of speechless, baffled by it. There were not many who would thank someone for undoing their hard work even for good cause. It kept her good nature at the fore front and allowed her to relax a bit. This man seemed to be of no threat to her she decided. Now that she was a bit less guarded she could actually take in who she was looking at. She tried to retain as much detail as possible but in the low light conditions it was a bit tough. Luiniel sighed softly, nodding at his explanation. "I apologize for being overzealous. We have had to deal with more fires this year than I find acceptable. If you would like you may use my lantern to light a new one." she offered kindly. The queen held her hand out to him with the ornate lantern in it. It had fancy leaf patterns carved into it and words inscribed on the side that read "To guide the weary soul home.". An apology and an introduction? Not exactly the reception she was expecting encountering a night traveling stranger. She bowed her head slightly in reply to his name being given. "I am Luiniel of House Ashwin." she replied softly. It implied that she was of noble blood, authority figure in these parts, but she held back the truth for good reason. The real trouble had only just begun as she was a bit more perceptive than others. "Excuse my bold nature, but is something the matter? You seem a bit.. tense." she asked. It was not just the way he reacted to the fire. One of those odd sixth sense feelings.

| They were both overzealous with the matter. He offered her a small smile when she apologized for her behavior. "It's okay. Seriously. I get it." His eyes dropped to the lantern she was carrying and he nodded. Okay, so she obviously meant something more than just another elf he had happened to run into. Just the way she held herself seemed regal and magestic? Royality maybe? Needless to say, he was trying to correct his obnoxious behavior to the young woman and introduced himself. It was odd, true, but to be honest he had experienced worse. Once she had introduced herself he nodded. Okay, so he was right. she was of some of noble blood but he wasn't entirely sure how high up the totem pole she was. "Pleasure to meet you Luiniel." that was a very pretty name. Even the way it sounded as it rolled off his tongue was quite easy to the ears.
Her next question had him tipping his head. "Honestly. I don't know." He hadn't done a thing wrong so he wasn't sure why on earth he was having as much problem as he was. "Just looking for work and having no luck." he said kindly. "I was apparently in the wrong for helping someone some people thought I shouldn't have." He rubbed his chin now. It got messy that was for sure and most ranchers now wanted nothing to do with him but this was only tougher because that was his life's work. That was his passion he wished to keep furthering in. "Am I that easy to read?" he chuckled quietly. He probably was letting his worry roll off of him in waves. He wasn't usually in this deep with his feelings but there he was. Letting it be known that he was pretty much penniless right now. Though it was nothing he couldn't figure out right? Eventually, the burn to his reputation would wear off and he could start over. It just sucked he had to wait this long. The young noble elf woman though was becoming easy to be around. Her calm nature was relaxing and that to him was better than some anxiety driven werewolf. "Other than wandering through the forest killing lone wanderers fires.... where you actually headed anywhere in particular?" Or was that all? Just check the posts of the forest. "You are welcome to rest here if you aren't in much of a hurry to move along."
