LET THIS BLOOD FLOW SLICING WIDE MY WOUNDS BITING A HOLE THROUGH FATE, I'LL KEEP UP THIS STRUGGLE Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. The sounds of the endless dripping of water came down through a crack in the stones above. Radulfr sat there, half-laying down as his armored mask faced toward the ceiling. It shined from the faint moonlight outside, filtering through the dungeon, shining also upon the bars he was behind. He was on the ground, back faced against the wall. It was cold, however not as cold as the winter storm outside. The harsh wind banged against the window, the powered white snow swirling around adding to whatever light there was.
His angered eye gazed upward. The man was still, merely gazing upon the stones above, hearing that incessant dripping. He thought he heard a rat scurry around somewhere, but Radulfr did not move from his place. Chains bound him from his arms and legs, the contraption still on his foot. He lumped there in defeat, although in his mind he was planning his escape. He was also thinking.
Where was this place? Was Wryn here? Who was that man? All the questions whirled around in his brain, however he did not find any answers to them. Head rising from the spot, he looked down and to the side, from where he found his arm chained to the wall. He tugged on it, trying to pull the chain out from its hold, but it did not work. He then sat again, this time looking forward. He might as well be dead by the morning... or whatever the man planned to do with him. Whoever lived here was very peculiar, having a smirk on his face as he dealt with the trespasser. Maybe he was going to torture him in the morning, who knew. But as he continued to think, he heard a creaking noise of a door. Radulfr looked outward, trying to see who approached. Was it him again? No... the figure was smaller. Maybe it was another prisoner perhaps. Either way, he continued to wait silently, seeing who came.

It had been several days since the trail had disappeared. With his headlong sprint down the mountain, he had somehow managed to evade not only the pack, but her. That was something that Alvina grudgingly admired, even if she wanted to tear his throat out. The death screams, simultaneously human and inhuman, of the Werebeast he had cut down echoed in a cacophony through her mind, haunting her, driving her forward in that time.
Despite a heavy snowfall settling in on the mountain side, and the she-wolf had remained, making her way down and back up the hillside again and again in efforts to seek out any details they might’ve missed in earlier sweeps. Unhindered was she, even as the icy droplets penetrated her fur, cooling her to the bone. Giving a small pause, shaking her pelt to try to alleviate the chilly grip, it was by chance that she managed to catch the faint, wafting scent in the downpour on one of her final attempts. Giving only a quick signal to the rest of the pack, she set out after it. Gliding, bounding through the underbrush even as the snow so insistently tried to conceal any trace of him… The Murderer.
The trail, rather than going cold as she descendent the mountain as she might’ve expected, proved unexpectedly warm. Following the traces of a struggle, the Alpha found her pathway leading back upward, toward the higher elevation of a nearby mountain just off the border of their territory. It was not long after that the penetrating snow gave way to ice, as snowflakes stuck to the trees, the hillside, the foliage… coating everything in a thin, crystalline dusting of ivory.
The color… It was that of bone. Oh how she wanted to leave his amongst the blanket, to be forgotten in the frosty grip of the storm. And yet… What she found was a structure impeding her way. Unwilling to phase back into her human form until was absolutely necessary, knowing the temperature would find greater purchase with her tanned flesh than with her furry hide, she waited until she finally reached the door of the structure. Despite living in her territory nearby for so long, the building was not one she was familiar with. It was with caution that she transformed, slipping silently into the building.
Alvina quickly became aware that the decadent mansion seemed largely unoccupied. Or perhaps, rather, the residents were unaware. Regardless, gathering a loop of fabric from where she’d secured it around her ankle, she quickly hiked up the loose tatters that scarcely concealed her form; a crude dress. Her nose took over as the guide then, even as her eyes flicked about, studying her surroundings and noting potential exits.
Her heart pounded, as she was drawn to a heavy wooden door. Every waft of air said that he was beyond the other side. Pressing her lips tight together, with was with a heave that she raised the board securing the passage from the outside, before slipping in. The cold of the steps was harsh against the skin of her bare feet… But her eyes practically seethed with fire as she finally spied him, shackled like the animal he was against the wall. “You didn’t get so far after all.” Her voice held disgust, like a disappointed parent.

LET THIS BLOOD FLOW SLICING WIDE MY WOUNDS BITING A HOLE THROUGH FATE, I'LL KEEP UP THIS STRUGGLE He looked further as the figure moved inward, slowly getting closer with each step. He saw the door behind them was opened slightly, but he knew that it was futile to escape if he couldn't get out of this prison. He listened as they spoke. Wait a minute, that voice was familiar. His icy blue eye looked up to see her, now features apparent from what barely light was left. Seriously?!
He rolled his eye visibly, leaning his head back on the wall in near disbelief. Radulfr almost wanted to laugh. How in the world did she get here? Was the man one of hers? His head then rose from its place, gazing at her again. He was confident that she couldn't get past those bars. Unless she had a key. But he assumed that she didn't. The man didn't seem like her. He didn't seem like he would be one of hers... No, didn't she say that she had a clan sheltering outlaws? What could she be doing with a man that lived in a mansion? He assumed that she must have followed him all the way here. Although he was surprised at her determination. She must have cared for that dead one very much. The mansion was far away from where they and fought indeed, and even where he made his camp he thought was far enough. She must have been extremely intent on making sure she killed him.
He looked at her with almost an amused, impressed eye. "I didn't," he said, agreeing with the fact. He watched her from within the cage, still sitting. She didn't appear to be trapped by the man of any sort, no chain, no nothing. But he was still confident she couldn't get to him. Though he would much rather she break the bars so that he could get out at least. But he knew that it wouldn't happen, so he just continued to sit in defeat.
"Do you know where we are?" he asked, rather hoarsely, with a hidden smirk on his face as he held his chained hands up to his chest from discomfort. "I assume you're not with him. You're lucky to be where you are right now," he said. Though he knew that soon she would wind up like him if she continued to be here, so he wasn't disappointed with that fact. His eye then narrowed challengingly, although still amused with her presence.
"Are you going to try to kill me?" he dared. "Go ahead, I doubt you will be able to get past the bars."

She hated him. Even before the man’s lone eye twinkled with recognition, even before he craned his head and strained against his chains to speak to her… The very sight of him caused the bloody image of the slain pack member to flit to the forefront of her mind.
And yet the Alpha smiled wolfishly, taking silent steps forward until she peered at him from the other side of the bars. “We? You are in a cage like a dog. I am free, with a Pack at my back that is prepared to tear this place to the ground to finish you off.” Her eyes flicked over the iron of the confine, a hand venturing to test the metal with a small tug. As expected, no budge. Stepping forward, she tilted her head, eyes studying the lock which secured the barrier of the entrance to his cage. “Judging by the state of things, you are the lucky one. I’m surprised he confined you.” She spoke as if she knew the owner. That was a far stretch. She did not. The place was new to her… And yet she could lie with smoothness. The promise of his flesh splitting under her claws was enough motivation.
She trailed her fingertips over the keyhole, eyes flicking briefly as she surveyed the room. Alert. Thoughtful. Where were the keys? “The one you killed… Even when I offered you assistance. Your life holds as little meaning as their killing, does it not? Is that why you are so eager to toss it away?”

He looked up at her with the lone blue eye, continuing to feel the coldness of the prison as he again heard another wave of snow bash into the window, creating white specks illuminating his mask for about a second before it returned. However no emotion could be seen within that eye of his. "I would much rather you break me free so that I can escape. But I doubt you have your little pack coming with you." There was all sorts of traps within the mansion, Radulfr judged. Even if she brought them along, they were more than likely to get caught within one of the man's traps. Even if they came as animals no less. Strangely enough, this mansion seemed more like a fortress than it appeared to be. Whoever the man was, he knew that people were going to come there and he wanted to keep them out. Or trap them. Even as he put Radulfr into a prison, he was strange in that regard than to just rather kick him out. Though, it seemed like he had expected him. It was rather surprising that she made it here soundly, but it wouldn't last long. Ironically, deep within Radulfr hoped that she wouldn't get caught. Just so there was a chance for his escape. By anger of her hand. Still, he thought that maybe she hadn't got caught because he had already activated the trap from where he came. It would take long for the man to set it up again, and he assumed he did not so because afterwards he placed him here. Radulfr had been careful enough, very wary and yet he still got caught. She had been truly lucky this far indeed.
Radulfr then noticed she was touching the keyhole. Did she think she could get it out with her fingernails? She was looking around the room, probably wondering where the keys were no doubt. Radulfr didn't blame her. Though if the keys were near he would have probably had tried getting to them. "He brought the keys with him," he notified. "They're not in this room, though I do not know where he had put them afterwards." He then leaned back, an amused look in his eye. "In this room it's just you and me." But perhaps there was another way she could open the lock. If his hands weren't bound he would have tried to break the lock by force. But maybe there was something around the room she could use to pick it. "But look around," he advised. "There might be something small and sharp laying around somewhere." He knew more than well that she wanted himself out just as much as he. Though in his weakened state he was confident he could still outmatch her. Still, he knew that it may end up fruitless anyway. The lock seemed to be sealing the door of bars pretty tight, and even still Radulfr was bound to the wall. If she broke through she could kill him easily and leave him there to rot and die in this hell of a place. Though, he was pretty sure that Alvina would not be able to break through his bars. For now, he could just converse while she hoped he were dead. It may even give him some entertainment to distract him from the situation.
His hands still bound he let them relax slightly, falling onto his lap as the sounds of the chains clinked down onto the hard ground below. He continued to look at her with the same amused expression, although now it was rather faded and it appeared he was just conversing out of boredom. "Everyone dies in the end. Life and death have no meaning. Look at yourself naked woman. I bet you killed for your foolish little clan. Thinking that it is justice but in the end you're just no different." His eye then narrowed, his tone getting a little harsher toward the end. "You even want to kill me. Does that make you have the same worth as me?" he asked, testing her morality.

“They know where I am, that is the part of consequence.” She propped an elbow up on the bar the cage as she offered him a bitter smile. “Right, I will just go right ahead and release the dog from his cage…” Flicking a wrist as if to wave the door open, any trace the smile disappeared the longer her eyes stuck to him. Alvina had no knowledge of the manor, no awareness of who lived in such a place… And she had no intention of sticking around and bantering long enough to find out with him. He would sooner distract her, have her cast into the cell with him… And she wasn’t having it.
With the goading that followed as her eyes flicked around the room, she dropped her arm and took a couple of steps back, dropping into a squat so she might regard him at eye level through the bars. A little knot briefly formed between her brows, before she snorted. “You know very well as I that they is not going to be such a thing in a prison. I think you want out a little too much. It’s a shame that I can’t confirm what this man might do to you. If I knew you were destined to die, perhaps I’d let him have his way with you.” Tilting her head, she exhaled thinly, finding herself growing frustrated. In truth, the last her back had heard was just prior to her entry into the place. Perhaps this was not one which she wanted any of them near.
Her silence stretched on for nearly a minute as she considered that thought, before his harsh tone and the jingling of chains caused her to glance up. Her dark eyes focused on him, regarding him as a mother might a naughty child. “What an ugly thing to say. You, who has no pack. You, who probably killed any who have cared for you. You have no one. Nothing. Nobody coming to save you in this place. I would have helped, you know. But you proved your worth to me when you killed without someone who had done nothing to you.” Her tone was level, but her eyes every bit as fiery as they were in her wolfen form. “Do you know what gives life meaning? Having people to love, to care for. People to make you strong. People to hope for. To fight for, to build something better for. A purpose. You? You are nothing. It is not a question of worth when there is no comparison to be made.”
Rising to her feet, she loomed for a moment, staring down at him, before turning on her heel, intending to make her way back up the stairs to go find the blasted keys...

His eye continued to gaze at her, narrowed as she spoke. She had gone so close to home, so truthful in what he might have actually done, yet, he knew that she was just angry at him. It was almost like seeing another version of himself in a mirror. He of course would lash out at anyone, yet here she was lecturing him about what is right and wrong. All those people were the same. Though he didn't think an Alpha would come all this way just to tell him that. But she was an alpha of the outlaws. It only made sense. Her clan wasn't probably even considered amongst the other ones. It made him wonder just what a type of a person she was. How long did her clan even exist for exactly? Probably not very long. She thought she could make this work? Outlaws never treated each other with respect. Is that why she came all this way, to lecture him? She said she wanted to kill him though in the end what would that prove? Not to mess with her clan? Radulfr was a nobody, she wouldn't even receive any punishment for killing him. He didn't assume she was bored. There was only one conclusion he came to. That she perhaps still wanted someone like him to join her clan. But that'd never happen.
He gave a small laugh, a chuckle as he leaned his head and shoulders back onto the wall in more of a relaxed position, eye amused. "So now love apparently is the only way to prove your worth? You are truly entertaining," he sneered underneath his mask, looking at her with disbelief in his eye. "You came all this way to make sure that someone like me is dead. Then to tell me that love gives life meaning." He then adjusted his position for a moment, continuing to make himself more comfortable as he sat. "Life has no meaning," he then argued, yet he still had an amused look to him. "If I die here in this cell, the man is just going to come and kill you as well. Then what? Is it going to be because he has people to love and care for more than you do?" It was followed by another snicker. Indeed Radulfr was enjoying himself. His head then leaned back slightly as he still looked at her. "If anything I still think you want me to join your clan. Isn't that the real reason why you came here?" he tested, eye looking at her again with challenge. "Otherwise you should just leave me to die. Here, all alone. With no pitiful clan to take care of."
It was ironic, how he hid the one he cared for from her. He did have a pack. Although he had killed his own mother. Tried to kill his own brother, but to no avail. If anything, Radulfr had almost become the alpha, if it wasn't for his brother's scheme. He loved his pack once, even though he did not love his mother, he still loved with father, and his brother. His friends. But he was betrayed. Betrayed by everyone he cared for. And paid that price dearly. It was what made him into what he was now, a despicable werewolf that always had a desire for vengeance. But he had someone. Wryn. She wasn't going to save him but it was he who came here to save her. But he didn't need this alpha's help. If she wanted to help she could have offered him a job. He needed coin and she couldn't give that to him. If anything killing the person if they had coin would have been more profitable. But unfortunately they didn't have anything and now he has to deal with the angry clan and their mother. Indeed he was surprised she would have followed him all this way. Probably, what she described, someone to love, care for. It all described how he felt about Wryn. But he couldn't let her know that.
