JASPER
Jasper was getting irritated by this godforsaken pink forest. Trees aren't supposed to be pink. Pink is a horrible colour, she decided. Even in her dragon form, Jasper couldn't see above the trees and still felt out-of-sorts from her strange dizzy trip earlier. The last thing she could remember was crossing a river and then walking across that weird circle with the bright red mushrooms. After that, all she could remember was feeling sick and horribly, horribly lost.
After wandering around for what felt like decades, occasionally stumbling over her own feet as a fresh wave of nausea hit, Jasper changed into her scalier self with a snarl of irriation - attempting to peer over the treetops on her hindlegs, but to no avail. These blasted candy plants were too tall for her to see over. It was odd moments like these that she wished she had wings - then she could leave this cursed place.
Nothing looked familiar to her anymore, and Jasper honestly had no clue if she was actually conscious. What if she had been drugged or put under a spell by hunters? The treaty forbade dragon hunting but Jasper wouldn't put it past the greedier bastards to start it up again. Especially with the... activities the drake had gotten up to in your younger years.
Muttering foul curses under her breath, Jasper swiped at a tree of she passed with annoyance - jerking with a snarl of irritation as the tree retaliated by digging thorn-sharp splinters into the soft flesh of her paw. Sitting down heavily, the satchel draped around her neck bumping against her under-scales, Jasper tried to pull out the thorns with her other paw. The splinters, large enough to cause pain, were too small for her to pull out and her attempts were hindered by the sticky layer of sap that seemed to become even stickier by the second. She hissed at the tree, ramming her head into it in a childish tantrum.
Wrenching her head free, Jasper became even more frustrated as the tree's sap dripped down her horns and onto the back of her neck. Twisting herself like a pretzel in an attempt to lick it off, Jasper froze as she heard a twig snap ominously somewhere near her. She turned her head around, scanning the foliage for a source, and jumped as a bird shrieked overhead - staring upwards warily, her spines trembling as they prepared to raise like porcupine quills.
Growling low in her throat, Jasper pushed herself to her feet - glaring about her with wary amber eyes. "Who's there? Show yourself!" She demanded, yelling out a telepathic message, uncertain if the presence was a person or just a forest animal.
