It was a lovely day in Out of Character behind the scenes world. The sky was partially clouded with silvery white puffs, the breeze was perfect.
Three people, a player, and her two characters, sat in a grassy meadow under a large willow tree.
“You can get up now,” the girl with the purple hair and the black barrette hat commented.
Salamander remained with his head pillowed in her lap, eyes closed as he lazily replied, “Noooo. You can’t hurt me if I don’t let you get back to your writing.”
Hiro sighed, “I can’t hurt you because I’m waiting on a reply. My legs are falling asleep.”
“You still have the story you’re working on,” Salamander replied knowingly, “I know you’re trying to figure out some way for your thief to stab me as I come to Karan’s rescue.”
Hiro rolled her eyes and leaned back against the tree. Picking up her finished manga, she flipped through it again, since she couldn’t go anywhere.
“KARAN TO THE RESCUUUUE!”
Karan very unhelpfully popped up with an electric guitar and began strumming away, blasting the ears of the two, and anyone close by.
Hiro jumped and jammed her fingers in her ears, pain etched across every feature of her face. Salamander jumped up and darted towards Karan who was now yowling some random song at the top of her voice.
“YOU CAN CALL ME WHAT YOU WANNA I AIN’T GIVIN’ YOU A DOLLA-Ah-hey! No!” As Salamander groped one handedly for the cord in the guitar (on account of his right hand being out of commission until the roleplay he was a part of came to such a stage as that it was healed enough for use), Karan tried to fend him off.
With the guitar.
“I’m not done! Hey Help help! I’m being Musically challenged! I’m being artistically depressed! I mean compressed! I mean—”

Ever wonder what your characters do when they’re out of character, waiting for their next roleplay, or another player’s reply? Well come join us and our behind the scenes shenanigans
.
I've done this once a long long time ago, on a site far away and quite dead and gone by this point. Maybe it was because I was younger, but I found it to be amusing. It's suppose to be us and our characters, or just our characters, chilling "off the set" between roleplays.
