[break]Elf: Arden has abilities drawn from spirit and nature. Her elemental abilities manifest in the power to heal injuries and illness and encourage plants to grow. Arden brings these together by growing herbs and using them to help her with healing. She also enjoys growing flowers in her spare time.

With her mid-length blonde hair and sea foam green eyes, Arden looks quite young. Her features give her a natural innocent look that is fitting of her personality. At 5’4’’, Arden considers herself short though she is closer to an average height. She has a small build and though lean, she is not muscular or toned. Her skin is well cared for and soft. Her hands are very steady, but overall, she is a bit clumsy. At first glance, one would consider her graceful and lithe, but once reality sets in, they will realize that she trips over her own feet quite often.

Her clothing choices are always modest and elegant. She is pretty but does not like to be looked at and may hide her figure under layers of clothe. She prefers pastel colors and dresses. You will almost never see her in pants or without the traditional poise of a lady. Arden doesn’t consider herself above more untraditional women, she just fears the attention it would bring if she were anything but what was expected.

Personality:

Arden is a sweet, kind woman. Despite being recently raised to the position of council member, she is still quite innocent and mostly untried by the world. Though very opinionated, Arden is also a people pleaser and is very considerate of the feelings of others. In turn, Arden is also very sensitive and empathetic. This sometimes leads to internal conflicts when it comes to expressing her authority as a council member. She is very observant and wary about trying new thing, but Arden carries a quiet courage. Like a good healer, she does not balk at bloody wounds and will face her many fears even when she is absolutely terrified. Arden is very social but not quite what one would call outgoing. She is an extroverted introvert and easy to like. Spontaneity is her worst nightmare – Arden must have a plan in order to properly prepare herself for anything. Her insecurities lead to worry about what others think of her a good deal of the time. She is not completely comfortable in her own skin. Warm and generous, Arden is also very loyal and honest. She is a terrible liar. Arden’s necessity for having a plan leads her to be inadaptable when situations change.

History:

Arden was born to the Elven Commander (an unclaimed cannon) and his/her significant other 122 years ago in the height of summer. She grew up well loved and cared for and very sheltered within the castle walls. Arden spent her days wandering the gardens and forest and growing pretty flowers. She manifested an ability to heal at an early age when a friend was running and hurt her knee. The 6 year old Arden was very upset to see her friend injured and when she touched the wound, it healed. Upon discovering this ability, she was encouraged to study and learn the art of healing. Arden was mentored by the best and though her abilities are not exceptionally above average in strength, she knows how to use what she has skillfully and this, along with her lineage, drew the attention of very important people. With a push from her parent's, Arden quickly established herself in noble society and as a skilled healer. She was mentored by a previous healer who held a position on the council and that mentor recently handed the position down to Arden as old age sets in. Arden worries for her position as she was not elected but was rather inherited the position despite still being untried in any extremely difficult circumstances. She feels unprepared and unworthy and worries that she lacks the wisdom that is so desperately needed in a council member.
