Magical Ability:
Myralthrine is capable of healing magic that came from the intense study of the human body as discussed in the history below. Using the natural pathways of the body to speed up the process of regeneration and reformation of tissue and nerve connections it requires the amount of energy the body would have used to do the process normally. Myra is capable of using her own energy to do the healing but more often than not she chooses to have the one she is healing donate the energy. It will take from them what it might have taken weeks to do in one moment. Exhausting them but requiring only a day or so of recuperation instead of those weeks. If strength fails the body of the afflicted she can use her own but she does this very little instead choosing other methods of natural remedies and the steady beat of time. Broken bones will heal when set properly and wounds will scar but to stop the bleeding and begin re-connections was almost effortless and often a task she practiced.

Able as well to control water the ability is very stunted. Submerged she is capable of drawing it around her and using to help form a current in order to push her along but above she is less able. Generally she can draw water from below the earth but the process takes time even if it uses very little effort. Water seems drawn to her even if she cannot force it to her will.

From healing magic she branched into the subject of organ repair. Not all organs could be fully repaired after damage and she believed that by using another she might be able to place it in the afflicted body. It took some time to perfect the practice as she followed raiders when they went into villages searching for injured. She would take from those who had injuries far beyond and use what was in a good shape placing it in another. Unconscious due to pain or injury the person who she placed the new organ in would wake with a new scar and no idea as to how it occurred. Her first few attempts went horribly wrong as she had pulled organs from an incompatible match. Blood types needed to be in order first and it was difficult to ascertain their different types until she began mixing them outside of the body. Her ability with water finally made itself clear as she was able to separate blood from plasma using the property of water within it to force it apart. Then she would mix it with others using the interaction to judge what had occurred. Focusing upon the interaction between them she was able to determine the different blood types and from then on blood typed before using different organs. Her experimentation will not end there as discovering this ability is only the start of many.

Appearance:
Eyes of azure framed by dark locks are startling. Myra rarely required refocusing of ones attention to her face due to the rather odd gaze. She is a slim woman with an hourglass figure and sizeable breasts that she keeps bound rather tightly as she generally wears clothing during her work that is close to her skin with sleeves that cling to her arms and are shoved upward. It allows her to work without worrying about stray fabric getting on the table or into her clients.

Personality:
Before the realization that she was destined for healing magic Myra was an outcast. She chooses to only communicate with those that approach her always assuming that they are after something. When she began practicing a rather arcane type of art in the eyes of others she became a pariah. Rather than correct them she used the silence to continue in her work. Quiet and certain when she does speak she rather prefers the solitude of the life she has come to know but it is simply because others generally do not accept her work. She smiles often while speaking to the afflicted but rarely carries one otherwise. Myra will go out of her way to help another when possible.

History:
Mages are born with a symbol of their power upon their skin. A sign of things to come in their future as it shapes who they become. When Myralthrine was born she was thought to be without these symbols as her body was examined closely. It was later discovered she carried them upon her hands. Her fingertips had a black dot directly in the center. It began to grow as she aged but instead of creating a symbol it ran along her skin underneath her palms resurfacing at the edge of her wrist. From there it extended upward following the line of her upper arm and spread across her chest. A thin line barely two millimeters thick it came down to the edge of her breast fading as it reached her heart. The same occurred on the other side. Eventually she would discover that the lines where were the lines of her arteries lay.

Raised in the lands of Mir on a small farm her mother was intent on keeping her child by her side would make her wear long sleeves and cover her hands with mud and dirt. The farm on which they lived hosted many strangers over the years each a curiosity to the young girl. Told to keep quiet at the table she rarely listened to such advice and when a passing Mage requested shelter he would notice the girls oddities. She put off a sensation of deep seated magic and he would ask about the father. Her mother hesitated to answer before rather firmly asking the man to leave at first light. The damage had been done in that very moment as Myra would pester her as the question was now at the forefront of the young girls mind. The only information she would ever receive was that he was a passing traveler.

A month later the very mage returned but this time with one of the instructors of the Lledrith School. It was a woman talented in discovering the abilities of children as well as seeing the spark of magic before they felt it themselves. They took the young woman giving her but a scant goodbye with her mother. She was ten.

Disappointment came from her instructors at the school itself. They believed her to have great power and yet when she worked with water to manipulate it she showed very little proficiency. A mute of a mage the other students called her mocking the lack of ability that was first thought to be seen within her. She resigned herself to leaving when she came of age and was allowed to live outside the walls of the institution.

At the age of fifteen after years in school focusing on water magic as she had been told was her talent she received word of her mother’s illness. She went home to care for her without permission slipping out in the night and returning to the small cottage she had once called home. She arrived finely clothed to find a woman in rags and suffering at the edge of her deathbed. Crying out to her she so wished to ease her suffering, to make this world give back the life that had been taken from her. Feeling her heart beating in her chest she heard it aloud as she sat there beside her. Each beat was fainter and farther apart but as she took her hand in her own it leaped to life. It beat strong and true as it called to her and her to it. She but prolonged the inevitable but when she was found by her instructors it was with a woman who should have died days ago according to the local healer.

Returned to the school after her mother was laid to rest she had found her talent. It was not within the oceans and the seas of this world but in the blood of others.

Growing in her abilities she began to get careless and reckless in experimentation. Odd requests were placed for the use of what would later become known as cadavers in order to extend her knowledge. Grave robbing generally frowned upon an arrangement had eventually been made for study using the bodies of criminals. Hangings provided the majority of the bodies that came through the doors. Each corpse was treated with a measure of respect as it was taken apart for medical advances. Each gave light to bodily functions and allowed them to map a proper system for nerves, veins, arteries, and to identify organs without issue. Conduction pathways of the heart were discovered through thorough examination and through shock therapy coming from mages capable of using a sort of electric magic. It was also tested in the constriction of muscles and their reaction to the same treatment. Myralthrine had been the first to begin to suggest such brutal methods of learning as healing previously had been limited to a lack of medical knowledge of only the human race. Importing the rotting disregards of dwarves, elves, and other creatures as they were found would expand their knowledge significantly.

Advancing the science of healing through thorough knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the body it allowed for closer knit wounds and the destruction of some diseases that chose to plague certain organs. Her time at the institution would come to an end as she hit her twentieth year and she left with a want to continue her experimentation traveling the world to not only practice but learn more keeping track of her stray thoughts in a journal upon her person.

Myra carries upon her two long daggers that are generally buried in her boots. They are kept sharp for surgery and protection.
