She'd been traveling for weeks. Stopping here and there along the way to make camp and hunt, the entire time spent in the guise of a human. It always felt unnatural to her, like she was being crammed inside clothes two sizes too small. Serina griped the walking stick she had tightly. Her knuckles flushed white, she stuck it in the icy ground securely and used it to help pull her lightweight frame up the steep snowy incline. The tips of her fingers were red; perhaps even the tip of her nose and cheeks. A heavy breath escapes her mouth. It warms her lips temporarily, and the air around her creating a cloud of foggy vapors before her face. 'Gone and got yourself lost big time. Real smooth.' She thinks to herself as she reaches the top of the snowy hill. Dropping the walking stick at her feet carelessly she flexes her fingers in her left hand. They feel stiff from clutching the wooden aid. Serina casts a scowl at it and with the toe of her furred boot, she kicks it from the hill. She watches it fall. Looking up she finds herself awed by the sheer beauty of the wintered lands. Though the air is chill and full of snow..Something about it just screams magic. She blinks those blue eyes as they survey the vast, seemingly empty land. At least being lost led her to solitude. Surly no one was out here..then again, she was? So maybe someone was just as crazy and lost as her to not turn back and continue forwards. A bird soaring through the winter sky pulls her gaze upwards. It is then she sees it. What looks to be floating isles in the sky. Without much thought to it the woman starts pulling off her clothes. First shedding her blue cloak; a very near and dear article of clothing. Then she tugs off one boot, hopping around on a bare foot as she tugs the other off tossing them near her cloak. One by one she strips free of her clothes; pants, shirt, undergarments. Afterwards, quickly she rolls everything up inside the cloak-- weapons included, and ties it securely to her travel pack. What happens next is the melting of her human flesh. The meat melting off white scales and falling to the ground around her in steaming piles. Her dragon form is revealed, like a butterfly from its cocoon. Her wings unfurl and she gives a shake of her body to toss any remaining scraps of flesh off. Oh man! It felt so good to be free! Excited, she scoops up her travel bag in her mouth. With a graceful leap she pushes off the towering hillside and takes flight, driving herself upwards into the frosty wind currents. It only takes a shift inside her to call upon the wind; manipulating the currents to push her upward even faster. The speed breaks the sound barrier around her with a high pitched whistle. The isles come closer and closer into view. She arrives, landing with the fluid grace of a cat. What she finds seems to be a place far different than the lands below. The first thing she notices is the warmth. A sigh of contentment nearly slips past scaled lips. Wings tuck in at her sides as she moves forward on white limbs. Large cat like blue eyes take in the new landscape. There seems to be a lot of vegetation up here. There are tall rocky structures jutting from the earth, some have water flowing from them and pooling into ponds below. Serina's forked tongue flicks out tasting the air for clues. No traces of life so far. She wanders deeper into the isles landscape, eventually stumbling upon a natural hot springs. Now this was a sweet find! There is steam dancing above the water's surface. She drops her travel sack at the waters banks. The dragoness slowly wades in through the shallows; going out until the warm liquids brush her scaled underbelly. She almost purrs as she sinks down into the water, laying, and soaking up the warmth. It felt so good to be rid of her human skin. And for a moment she now finds herself lost; a blank canvas, relaxed and enjoying the moment without a passing thought or worry of her surroundings. (ooc); open to anyone, meeting some other dragons would be rad tho

After the fiasco with the human kingdom Pandora decided that it was probably best to avoid big cities for a while. Mages seemed to be up to their tricks yet again. She was one of the many dragons who found it bothersome that magic was even gifted to the humanoids. Often they would twist and pervert magic to their own designs and create something horrible. Shaking herself free of that line of thought she moved on through the snow that surrounded her. Luckily she brought with her a heavy fur lined cloak to shield her from the cold winds. Her body was thankful as she huddled within to endure this search.
There was a hot spring here that was said to grow rare herbs around it's length. These precious flowers were something she could not return home without. As the village shaman it was her duty to bring healing and life to her home. This was a duty she took seriously as seen by her willingness to trudge through incredible cold. The journey took quite some time to do by foot - she did not want to fly through the cold winds; yet she was forced to to reach this place. That and having lived among humans so long she was accustomed to their form and it did not bother her so much.
Pandora carried on like this for several hours until she noticed a change. The amount of water nearby was almost something she could feel. Her magic connected with that of the hot spring and that was when she noticed the scenery change some. Rocky mountains with sparse trees that retained their green despite their surroundings. But the most noteable was the steam that rose from the waters here - the pools shimmering like diamonds. The water dragon smiled as she wandered towards the edge of the pool only to then notice a detail she'd forgotten.
There was a dragon half submerged in the pool.
The elder dragon paused for a moment unsure what to do or say. It had been some time since she interacted with her own kind. This situation made even more awkward by the fact that she would be mistaken for human - at least for a brief moment. Pandora did not approach nor did she back away from the giant creature before her. She chose to merely watch her while she approached a patch of flowers. Gently she removed a knife and started to sever them from the stems all the while keeping watchful eye on the dragon. NOTES ; Pandora is wary of other dragons as she does not know what the war has done to them. To any senses she comes off as human first but continued investigation would reveal that she does scent as a dragon underneath all the human garb.

Serina rolls her tail under the crystal waters, making the surface roll and ripple with small waves. The sound it makes is pleasant. Her well adapted eyes watch steam dance up from the heated waters around her, melting into the cool air. For a moment she nearly dozes off as the water seemed to melt away the bone chilling cold brought on from the icy lands she'd encountered below the floating isles. It'd been so very long since she'd had the chance to break free from her human guise. How..Terrific it felt. Her heart felt as if it would expand and burst at the filling happiness flooding through her in this moment. Then it all shatters. Footsteps, faint but there, are heard. Serina is now aware she isn't the only one on these isles. The white dragoness cranes her neck, delicate skull turning as her blue eyes seek out the owner of the approaching sounds. Wide doe like eyes freeze on the shape of something seemingly human. Serina feels her heart skip a beat, her breath hitching as she's shocked. And seen. no, not human..can't be.. they can't fly! she reminds herself, trying to sooth her racing mind. "Why, hello darling." soft honey woven lyrics roll from her tongue. Something of a polite smile might curls at the corners of her scaly lips. Blue eyes dart to the knife being used to cut the flowers from their stems. "Do you come here often? It's certainly...a long way up" gently she inquires to the being with a bell like laugh, as emerges from the steamy water and onto the grassy banks. Her movements are as fluid as the waters she'd left. A forked tongue flicks from her mouth, tasting the air. So many scents... It's hard to be sure what this other woman was. But surely, she wasn't human.. (Ooc): not my best post. Kinda had a brain fart, sorry ..i'll add her table in the morning.

It seemed to take the dragon before her a moment to notice her presence. She would have been quite surprised if she had not noticed at all. Pandora remained quite calm and composed as she continued gathering her various flowers and roots. For the briefest of moments she would act as though she had not realized the dragon was aware of her presence. Then it spoke and she knew she could no longer play the role of oblivious gatherer. Patting the dirt off of the hooded coat she wore she looked up at the magnificent silver specimen before her and nodded in her direction.
"Good day. I did not intend to interrupt the bath of a creature so magnificent as yourself."
When you found yourself staring down a dragon at a disadvantage it was best to appeal to the ego. They were prideful creatures who often held themselves in high esteem - just as the world once had before the war. Pandora did not sense that same ego from this one but she tried to play it close to the chest on this one. Could she transform in time if the need arose? Perhaps but she did not wish to risk it and leave Linus without a second guardian. The woman deposited the herbs into the pouch slung across her body and sheathed the knife.
"As often as the village requires medicine, yes. With the aid of magic much is possible."
Pandora would not outright give away her secret. There was no true reason to hide from another dragon but she did not wish to reveal her form. Not only that but there was a possibility her form would frighten to other dragon or make her uneasy. She was one of the old ones, the Elder Dragons, and her true form was colossal in comparison to this one before her.
"If I have disturbed your bath I could continue my duties a bit further up stream." NOTES ; Sorry for the wait ^^;
