Appearance:

He keeps a well-trimmed beard and prefers having long hair. It may slow him down a bit in the water but he's never been one for great speed. He has green eyes, piercing eyes under heavy brows, eyes that seem to see everything. His physique is that of a typical warrior; well-muscled, intimidating. His tail is a dull copper, offering some variation from the more common greens and blues. On land, he stands above six feet tall. He likes to wear comfortable clothes, perhaps a few gold pieces or jewels here and there.

A serious, no-nonsense, warrior type, to sum it all up. And on the surface, that's all there is to him. Of course, he is a bit more complicated than that. Yes, he is passionate and perhaps even easy to anger, but beneath all that he has a kind heart. His first concern is the welfare of his people and he will go to great lengths to ensure it. His softer side is reserved for those closest to him - family and the closest friends. As for making him smile, he enjoys the more violent sports. Anything with fighting involved is sure to bring him a bit of joy. He loves to prove his strength and is known to be competitive and proud. He does his best to remain level-headed in sticky situations.

History:

His parents ruled before him, and their parents, and their parent's parents... All that. Needless to say, he was born and schooled to be king. His fondest memories of childhood are sparring with his father, who insisted that a true king should be able to fight for his people. His mother, on the other hand, wanted him to be as eloquent and graceful as she was. Well, he isn't graceful, but he knows how to speak in court.

As he grew older, he grew more and more eager to take the throne. His mother fostered these feelings. His father clung to the throne. Time passed. Earindil matured, bit by bit. He earned a few battle scars. Growing impatient, he began to travel. His first tentative steps on land were difficult to say the least, but over time he grew quite fond of his legs. But the ocean beckons, and he inevitably returned. There was a time in his life when he would spend a few years in the sea, and the next few on land.

Finally, he got his wish. His father summoned him home, there was a huge ceremony, and just like that he was king. Sometimes he misses the old days, but he tries to keep that out of his mind. There are more important things for him to worry about. After all, those first few years as king were difficult, but he has learned from his mistakes and sincerely does his best.
