Breathe... Be Silent... Be Calm... Rays of gentle coloured light beamed through the stained glass windows in shades of pastel purple, blue, pink, white, yellow, green. United at a single point of a grand crystalline structure whose light shed across the stoic marble halls and glittered in the reflection of the pools of water below. Gentle and Serene, mirrors transformed light into prisms of soft rainbow radiating against the shining white and gold marble columns. In the waterfall at the back of the room, pennies glittered in the water as hope for those that had less than the ones that offered it unto them. This was her sanctuary. Dressed in a gown of elegant white and silver with jewellry like starlight in the radiance of the sun beaming into its crystal, Niera stepped down the narrow pathway one bare foot after another. Past the cleansing pools, past the altar, and toward a great statue of the lord of light where she lay a collection of beautiful white flowers in memory of the ones she loved. With a voice smooth like soft silk, notes of tranquil music lifted from her lips into a chorus of song that bounced across the walls. Step... Step... Step...
Ceremoniously joined in a symphony of angelic voices, the monks of the dawnfather ascended either side of the altar to a balcony that hung over the vast stretches of city. Looking out into the sky, they opened their hearts towards the clouds and welcomed the light of the coming dawn. This was their prayer; a prayer to the men and women that had died, a prayer to the god of light to thank him for the life they were given, a prayer to wish for fortune in the days to come and a prayer to end suffering. Open to anyone who needed it, this was a sanctuary of light. Where people could go to believe, to remember, to care and to be cared for. Those that were hungry were fed with what the temple could offer, those that were cold were sheltered in the warmth of their light and offered a moment's reprieve from the brittle callous nature of the lives they lead. Created by the Lieutenant herself, Niera had spent over a milennia creating the sanctuary. Food that was offered was consumed within the temple and toward the sides a small chamber of bedrooms allowed stragglers a place to stay and be cleansed on nights where even the bravest of men couldn't withstand the wrath of the reach's storms. For an hour they sang, a gentle reminder of what had passed and the light that lived in the world. There was no doubt in Niera's mind that to some this was inconvenience, but to many it was also a beacon of hope; that their lives were more than just circles of gloom and never ending doubt. Everywhere, there is light and one need only look to find it. Ending in silence Niera closed her eyes, allowing the sun's warmth to settle on her eyelids as she felt the breeze run through the long locks of her golden hair. She could hear the monks slowly disperse back into the temple, leaving her in the warm comfort of the sun as footfalls of a quicker nature ascended toward her. Still, in the presence of another figure the immortal smiled as she opened her eyes to look out at the world "Can I help you?"

Faith, once a pure ideal, had become so distorted by society that many people decided to just leave it out of their lives altogether. Then again, there were the people who just couldn't will themselves to believe because they'd gone through too much to think that someone was watching over them and loved them, but didn't do anything to save them. The lone figure sitting in the center of the pews in the back. The ones who'd been through hell and back and couldn't believe in a God that would take them through so much sat on the same side as he did. Justus however did believe. He had been through so much and he had seen so much more that he didn't really have to give a second thought about if there was some God watching out for him ; because their had to be. It was hard to explain to people that didn't believe. The feeling of relief , peace and knowing you got when you just let things go . As long as you believed in something , that would keep your head above water. He found that people that didn't believe in anything at all were more prone to losing there way... giving up and hurting themselves in the process to prove people wrong about if there was a higher power or not. Justus let his people make a choice of , he didnt pressure it though it was clear that his family did believe however. [/quote][/div]
He sat quietly and watched , the monks and the people gathered. He didn't usually come out as much. Most of the time he found himself in a the chapel by himself. He couldn't usually come sit among the people in such a open setting. Not with what had been going on. The people needed to see this and he needed to be here. For a hour he sat , listening to the singing .... listening to the small chatter between people. A few of his guards surrounded him but he felt alone for the most part. When he was at the chapel it was easy for him to be more calm. He hadn't felt so calm since before the ball. The ball. He hated thinking about it. He thought that the war was over and he wouldn't see one for centuries ; but it seemed like he had a lot to think about.
Getting up after the service , he walked over to a familiar face. "I didn't know that you come here ? Are you at every service?" , he asked her. Justus knew who she was due to Connor. He was impressed by her , there weren't too many women in his army. Not because they weren't welcomed , a lot of women were doing more important tasks. They were healers , they were advisers. Justus did find it interesting when women did join and to be as high ranked as Niera was. [/div]

"I didn't know that you come here ? Are you at every service?"
An inquiry pioneered by a voice Niera did not recognise, the lady turned her head to lay eyes on the man whose very words were formed with a strong sense of will. In her very space was the Justus Delgado, The King of the Immortal race and her monarch. Lowering to one knee the immortal lieutenant could feel the cold of marble seep through the thin silk of her dress as she looked up to meet the gaze of a man she had served before he had even been born "Not every service my King," she beamed with a time-worn smile "My work does not allow it."
Where many were nervous of the king for his reputable and stern disposition Niera had nothing to fear of him, for over two thousand years her life she had given to protect her people. For over two thousand years she had been prepared for a death that had never come to her and for over two thousand years she had kept her faith. Behind her the sun rose in the sky, touching the side of her face as if the god of light himself were trying to comfort her. "As a servant to the lord of light I do what I can to present to bring hope to those whose minds linger in the shadows of their own doubt," her gaze lowered to the clean marble floor, she had not yet been given permission to stand "And as a servant of the crown I do my best to keep our people alive."
Possibly one of the strangest and purest temples dedicated to their religion, the monks did not speak inside of the temple. They encouraged clarity of mind, where action conquered where words failed to bring sincerity. Seats were not offered, instead a circle of cushions that surrounded a small platform. There was no space hide when they walked into the light. In the temple they considered each other equals, but the kings and queens of the realm; once said to be the voices of the gods themselves were still honoured as in ancient tradition. Niera's presence in the temple was no secret, many knew the immortal lieutenant that dedicated her life to serve them and was often received by others with warmth and excitement upon her return.
" Is there anything the Temple of Light can do to serve you now?" Justus Delago

"Disgusting", that was all that Arxis could think about.
All that light rays being reflected into the crystal clear building, creating great blinding shines, added to this is the fact that all the structure was built with light and vivid colors for the 'purification of the mind and soul', nothing but mere lies.
As the personal guardsmen of the king, it was his job to follow him to almost every place for the protection of the king, of course, he could take care of himself, but you never know what can happen when you're a king. Justus, unlike his father, wasn't easy to control, he clearly was a challenge for Arxis, hopefully, he would pass through that challenge with no problem. Since the Sanctuary and the monks in it didn't mean a real treat, Arxis was ordered to wear his formal clothes, button shirt covered by a long trench coat and a pair of pants, all the outfit in dark, being accompanied by his great sword 'Void', making him stand out from all the building. Arxis was sincerely disgusted by all the peace in the place, the angelical, boring and predictable notes in the symphonies that the monks sang; he had avoided the last king to come here because of the previous, he couldn't tolerate the vibe that the place emanated, besides, if the king had had peace in his mind he wouldn't be been that of a puppet. Located on the right side of the king, Arxis approached the women "Whats the point of all this peace if there's no action? What's the point of relaxation if you don't use all that energy?" he said in a bitter and somber tone, his voice was always deep, looking all around the place with disparagement face. The place was an obstacle in Arxis masterplan of corruption, it abhorred war while praised a monotonous life of senseless peace, it was known that the religion kept the control over the population, whoever controls the people's beliefs, controls the world... maybe Arxis could use this place later on. Arxis got back to his positions and whispered to Justus in a respectful tone "My king, I highly recommend that we go, this is not but a waste of time".

[/b] , his voice wasn't as loud as it usually was. He kept it low for the most part , but every bit of authority in it as always. He listened to her words and nodded . breathing in the air around him. The air in the temple was a lot less stiff then that of the castle , that castle had seen better days no doubt. It was always nice when he could leave it however. " It's hard to find a balance you know. In your kind of work. It's refreshing to hear of such faith. Everyone can't escape the darkness. Darkness is a complicated thing , no ?" , he began thoughtfully. "We have walked through the darkness of this world, that’s why we are able to see even a sliver of light.", he added as he crossed his arm. He had seen Niera on the battle field along side himself and his father. She was important to his army and he had never be ashamed to make sure that Connor or herself understood how important they were. "You have done us a great service." , he nodded with a small smile. She asked if the temple of light could be of service to him , he shook his head and waved his hand in a dismissive way. " Come here to keep my mind clear. Myself at peace. One should always find peace or its easy to looked back at up like my late father." , he touched in the subject of his father briefly not sharing more then he needed to. Arxis came to his side and spoke to Niera. Justus cleared his throat before turning his eyes to Arxis from Niera. " Excuse him lieutenant , he obviously is overwhelmed with how different being in these walls are. Obviously because he didn't not address you before speaking." , you could tell there was a strain in his voice as he looked back at Niera. "The action is finding peace. Clearing your mind. The point to relax is to be clear headed and calm. I could never make decisions for the kingdom if my mind wasnt clear. How about for you Niera." , he spoke to her again because the question was originally to her. Arxis whispered in his ear anbd Justus turned his head. Making a face , he shook he head as he disagreed with him. " A waste to you ? You could always leave my side Arxis , if this temple makes you so uncomfortable. I have Niera here and some other guards. I'm sure I'm safe. Among me being able to handle myself also." , he spoke freely and openly in front of Niera with a smile Though he was clearly annoyed with Arxis behavior at the moment. "I trust Niera." , he said matter of factly. [/ul][/div] Arxis Ginnung @ Niera Venrali [/div]
