It had taken quite a bit to sober him up, make him feel like a man again, and pep talks from his older brother to get him back on his feet again. It took about four days but it was what he needed to get his head back on right. Adrian was like a reboot for him and suddenly he felt like he could take on the world again. After separating from the older Volkov sibling, Felix had begun his journey back to Eriu’s where his rabbit was left waiting. That night when they had found out the news kept replaying over and over in his head. He knew he shouldn’t have walked out as it was something that likely would have torn his little rabbit apart. It was about one of the top stupidest things he had done aside just about right under him bashing Lucia’s skull in on the bars of his cell. Nothing would top that. Having regrets was one of the worst things but he had promised he would right them… somehow… someway and firstly he would try and start with the easiest of the three and that was Eriu.
The little fairy wasn’t entirely his favorite person because of how badly she had burned him. However, he was willing to try and get over it and start anew. If he was going to get past this problem of control with his wolf he needed to work on the triggers. The biggest two right now were Eriu and Lucia --- Lucia currently the bigger one as she was his mate. Eriu because his wolf for whatever reason had an obsession with fairies. He needed to face these head on and work on regaining control. He just hoped Eriu was in the mood to do some talking.
Spying the little cottage up ahead he wasn’t sure what he was going to be walking in on or who was there. Pausing for a moment at the door, his hand on the knob he gave a couple knocks before opening and peering in. ”Hello?” he called in. ”Eriu? Larkin? Anyone here?” Eriu Bloodworth

Eriu didn't recall much what she was doing. Menial tasks, clean up. She had heard of the hunt for the dangerous plant, and she was getting ready to set out in a few days. So far, no sign of Larkin. Anywhere. She was getting worried. But what if the plant was the one that had taken her? If so then it was her duty to stop it. Not only that, it threatened all of Mir. Hopefully Larkin would come back when Eriu returned... she hoped. But either way, she was cleaning her closet full of gear and food. Dusting off a few shelves and making everything all organized and tidy, she wiped some sweat off her forehead. She took a step back, taking a small breath as she gazed upon her work. Then, she heard a knock on her door. Visitors wasn't uncommon, but she wasn't expecting anyone to come today. Maybe it was Larkin?
Taking a few steps toward the door, the fae walked right up to it, about to reach the doorknob until a face poked in. Yeah, she didn't leave the door locked very often. But as she recognized who the face belonged to, she was still somewhat in surprise. She had expected Larkin, but Felix was here. Hurrying up to the door to open it further, she allowed him inside. "It's just me," she said, her tone slightly dejected as she would then close it behind him if he entered. She knew that Felix often would come and go, and the last time she saw him was when he dropped off Eriu here. But wait a minute. He still thought she was here...?
"Larkin hasn't been here in days," she told him, a look of worry on her face. "I thought she was with you," she then said, now realizing the situation. Still, she had a white bandana over her head and wore an apron. Quickly she ushered him offering to take a seat on the couch, trying to make herself appear a presentable host, at least. She wasn't expecting company. She continued to stand however. The closet on the other side of the room was wide open and messy, and the amount of stuff that piled out was enormous. Many blades and armor along with simple things like fruit littered the floor. It was evident she was preparing to go on some sort of excursion. She looked at him directly as she stood close to him. "Do you want a drink? Some water? Tea?" Did he even like tea? She couldn't remember. Her mind was all a flutter, only he could know what had happened to Larkin. But he expected to find her here? What was going on?
Before even hearing his answer Eriu left and came back with two glasses of drink. "What happened?" she then asked, handing him the wrong glass as she took the other and sat down, trying to look as presentable as possible.

He was surprised when only one voice echoed back and it surely wasn’t the one he expected. He probably should have since it was clearly her home but well he didn’t suspect that Eriu was actually home much. His eyes fell down on the small lithe fairy as she made her way towards him and stepped inside allowing her to handle the door. ”Just you…” he echoed a little dumbly. It was obvious confusion on his face. Hadn’t he left Larkin in her care? Or at least in the safety of her home? It was true he had gone on a wild herb escapade but he clearly remembered doing so. A few days?? ”No… I left her here. At least I thought I did.” worry was obvious now. Did something happen? Was she recaptured by the guardians again? He took a look around for a moment as he was soon swept in and offered a seat. He wasn’t quite quick to take it just yet as his brows knitted forward again. Well, he would have asked if it looked like someone broke in but she said she thought she was with him so clearly this must have happened outside of the house or Larkin just left. ”I have no idea where she went. Sorry.”
Wasn’t like he owned the girl. If she wanted to leave then she would by her own free will but it just seemed so out of character for her. ”Honestly I don’t know what happened. She visited a healer because she had been feeling off and hurt her ankle.” and found out she was pregnant but that part was left out. No need to feel even more awkward around Eriu.
Her next question him caused him to shake his head no. ”I’m fine. Thank you.” And with that he took a load off of his feet which nearly sighed in relief from the loss of weight on them. Maybe she would come back if he sat there and waited. His eyes moved around the house again. ”You going somewhere?” He asked. She seemed to be packing for something as far as he could see. ”Another adventure, hm?”

He didn't take the drink yet she had set it down on the nearby little round table anyway. She tried to take a sip of her own but it didn't quite meet her lips as she gazed at him attentively. Larkin had hurt herself? "Oh no," she gasped. Was it something Eriu did? It was just one night Larkin had disappeared. She had gotten herself hurt, but she was with Felix? Oh, well at least she was ok. But he didn't know where she was now though, which was more the concerning part. Maybe he had thought that she would have returned here. Saddened, her solemn eyes moved to the ground, continuing to hold the cup by her chin. "I hope nothing bad happened to her..." she said, worried for Larkin's safety. But then Felix spoke again, and her eyes turned up to meet his. "Oh!" they widened a bit before averting back downwards again. "Yeah... It's that plant. The elves are asking everyone for assistance," she explained, not knowing whether or not Felix had heard about it. "It's so dangerous. I heard that it even spread to the other parts of Oedir..." She was fearful for what might happen if it was left undefeated. "I hope Larkin didn't get caught up in that trouble..." she drifted off lamentably. Whatever she did, wherever she was, Eriu just hoped that she was safe. She had no idea, but maybe Felix knew where she had headed. Her head faced toward him again with a pleading look on her face.
"Did you know where she said she would go when you last saw her?" she asked. But maybe she shouldn't pry so much. After all, those two... they had something. But she was concerned for Larkin's safety. "I'm just worried." Her eyes trailed down again. After a moment of silence however, she met his gaze once more. "But... even though I will be gone. My doors will be open to her if she comes back," she said hopefully. "The neighbors also know that I am going. If she needs anything she shouldn't hesitate to ask them." Then there was silence. A longer one than before. She looked down. Looked down at her cup.
"And... you're welcome here too Felix," she said, her tone even lower than usual. "You can stay however long as you want. I just wanted you to know that..." She wanted to drink. But couldn't bring herself to. She couldn't even look at him in the eye. She felt regret. Pain. They hadn't talked much since they last saw each other. Not about them. And ever since he had left Larkin here, he didn't stay. He took off. Was he... still working for them? Was that why? Or maybe he was worried that they will find them because he was there? Or was it because of the wolf...?
Nevertheless, she couldn't shake away the sad feeling inside her. "You were always welcome here." Her voice was broken. She had always wanted to say those words. Wanted him to know. She had missed him, but with the internal conflict within her mind, she couldn't let Wren get harmed. Not be so close to death. But now she was away. And Felix was here. They weren't a happy family but... it was odd somehow. Not having all of them present. One comes then fades away in the wind, the other comes and stays and then Eriu is left all alone. She just wanted them to be happy... but she had hurt them both unintentionally. She regretted leaving Felix, but what if it had been worse? What if it had actually happened? What if...?
She couldn't bare the thought of Wren dying. Even now, with her location unknown and her livelihood so uncertain, she hoped that she was alive and well. No, she knew. Or maybe she just wanted to believe that. But, what she said must have been hurtful. She had never told him that he was always welcome here. But then again... she never had the chance. He was gone when she had left him, never to be found again. Much like her own daughter.
"I'm sorry..."

"I hope nothing bad happened to her..." There was an immediate tick in his jaw at her words. The mere idea alone had caused him uneasiness and the urge to get up and go look for her then and there. However, maybe it wasn’t quite as it seemed. Maybe Larkin would return while he sat here and talked with Eriu. His gaze though remained observant as considered the fairy in front of him. She spoke of going on a plant hunt with the elves which seemed a little silly to him. What was so dangerous about a plant? ”I hope not either.” he said though his voice was emotionless. It was a defense mechanism, immediately shutting down to process what was going on. He started to think back on the situation when he had last seen her. ”No. I left before she had.”
A small nod was given when Eriu said her house would remain open in case Larkin decided to come back and surprisingly she offered it to him as well. The feeling of being inside the home that he had once upon a time shared with Eriu definitely didn’t feel like home again but he also had been living next to campfires and where ever he could find to rest his bones. An actual place to reside in from lingering eyes would be nice. ”I appreciate it but this is no longer my home.” he said hoping she would understand. ”And I don’t feel right doing that to you.” Having your ex linger around? An ex that tried to murder you and your infant daughter? She, however, seemed to have something on her mind and though he knew it wasn’t entirely his place to ask. His curiosity was getting to him. She attempted to drink from her cup more than once and each time seemed to have barely made it to her lips. Her words reached his ears and he hesitated not sure how to approach the matter.
”You have nothing to apologize for.” he assumed she may have been talking about the disappearance of Larkin. It wasn’t like Eriu was her keeper and couldn’t be there 24/7. She had her own life to lead. In the back of his mind though he had a feeling it wasn’t what she was referring to. ”Or are you meaning something else entirely.” His voice was cautious as his chin tucked towards his chest for a moment, looking up at her with a concerned expression. He had never witnessed an honest blue Eriu. IF anything she was brightly positive even if a bit naïve about things.

She still felt regretful. Even after hearing those words, she couldn't bring herself to continue to feel any different. She had completely abandoned him. Not once did he return. Despite her hopes. Though, who was she to judge? She was the one that left him in the first place. But that brought her mind to the here and now. At least he was alive. And she was too. But that wolf... did he learn to control it? It was something she wondered... ever since she had found him again. Did all of those years of her away from him pay off? Did he become a better man? They weren't together but... she still felt some sort of care for him. Like a responsibility that she needed to see filled. He was the father of their own daughter after all. It wasn't as though they were the same as they were back then, no, it was completely different. Her feelings had changed too. But, she cared for most. That's just the kind of person that Eriu was. She couldn't bring herself to hate him, not even after what he did. Resting the cup onto her lap, she looked down as she remained silent for a moment. The look in her eyes despondent. The room was quiet. There was still suspension in the air, surely. After the moment she decided to speak. "I meant... even after what you have done." She brought her face to look up at his. "I shouldn't have left you so... Even still I wanted to protect her. But... I should have at least made sure that you were alright." Her head was tilted slightly, eyes slightly widened with sadness as the rest of her face was hard to make out the expression she wore. She felt somewhat responsible for what he became now. Though she had known of his ways of getting himself into trouble, she still felt that way. Like it was her hand that had contributed to him falling into that line of work. Maybe it was for a different reason but... it still felt the same.
But even now she didn't want to burden him. Though now she felt the weight on her chest lifted a little. They were alone now, and they had talked to each other for some time now. She knew what he was like after all these years and vise versa. She knew, no, she felt, somewhere deep down, that he was going to leave again. She wouldn't get to see him. Not just for now, but for a long time afterward. She didn't know what the future held, but somehow, she could feel that she wouldn't be able to see him for a long time. Not as they were alone like this. But, that was to say that she wouldn't be pessimistic about the future but... somehow she just felt that way. Though, right now she knew that he would come and go anyway. It wasn't as if she had all the time in the world at the moment.
She continued to look at him sadly, but no words were able to come out. She didn't know what to say. Looking down again, a hand brought up to one eye, rubbing it before falling back down to her lap. She noticed she still hadn't taken a sip of her drink, but still she couldn't bring herself to do so as she just stared at it. Another moment of silence. She didn't know what else to say...

Somehow the conversation had drifted from Larkin and it was now steadily creeping towards grounds he wasn’t sure he was ready to venture into. Truthfully he would probably never be ready simply because it was his ‘first love’ he was dealing with. Though those feelings died long ago and he had plenty of years to get over it and move on, it still was a tender wound. He felt exhausted and he knew this conversation was going to exhaust him more. Emotionally putting a toll on him. He could feel the wolf being a little restless beneath his skin almost like electricity was causing the static to make the hairs on his arms stand on end. She spoke and he simply listened. He fiddled with his fingers as if to keep his mind distracted on something else and not appear utterly lost on words. Things like this were hard. ”I won’t lie, I hated you for it even if I understood why.” He didn’t like being left alone in his own madness. To be climbing up the closing in walls looking for peace. It took him so long to even get as far as he was today and that wasn’t much. The wolf still found tricks that made him look nuts. He was always there, always lingering, and always waiting. Now even alone with Eriu he could feel him staking out his opening. ”But you can’t help madness…. You chose right. At least with her, you had a chance to be okay and survive.” Even though he needed her their daughter needed her more.
He drew in a deep breath as his legs bounced a little, feeling a tense air starting between them. The tension was enough to rattle him not knowing what to expect whether from her or from the stalker deep within. ”Things will never be the same… you know.” He started. ”I wish things could have gone a little differently though...” Of course he didn’t think he could put himself back into the position of being romantic with her. Those feelings died a long time ago and were now placed on someone entirely different. Larkin had a power that even Eriu didn’t have with a simple hold of the hand she could ground him instantaneously. Eriu’s scent always seemed to tease the wolf and agitate him much like now the longer he sat there. Even just being in the room with her he could feel him well aware of the situation. ”Like actually ripping through you and getting in that door.” Wait. He didn’t mean to say those words. His eyes looked up to Eriu but there was no way she would believe him. ”That’s not what I meant to say.”

After a moment of silence she looked up when she heard him speak. Surprisingly, she was somewhat glad to hear those words. Not in a bad way of course, but rather it was a truthful remark about how she had affected him. He was telling her the truth, and she needed to hear that. Though, she would have felt worse if he didn't hate her despite what she did to him. Yet, at his next statement she couldn't help but tilt her head slightly, her lingering solemn gaze upon him hearing those words. She wanted to help, but he was inevitably right. She had made the right decision by saving their daughter and raising her. But what about him? Even if he was falling into madness, there still had to be some way she could have helped...
Another moment of silence. Eriu wasn't growing impatient, but she wasn't liking the tension that hung in the air. This was more painful than she intended it to be. However, she needed to get her feelings out. Get them out before he leaves again. And, there was still many things she wanted to tell him. She hoped that it would heal the both of them and ease their worries for the past, yet she felt as if it wasn't all over. After all, she still hadn't found their daughter. She never came back. But what he then said was right. Things will never be the same. And she knew that. Everything was changed. Even Felix. That wolf had changed him that night. Or maybe it was she that hadn't seen the wolf coming. Perhaps she was the fool that let herself be with someone like him. But, she didn't regret it. If it wasn't with her, he might have hurt someone else on accident. It would have happened to Felix eventually. She also wished for things to go a little differently. Her eyes softened. But it wasn't as if he could change the wolf back then. "I wish so too..." she trailed off, seeming a little more forgiving of herself and him. They couldn't change the past, but maybe from now on things will go for the better.
She was then about to speak again, but she was then interrupted by sudden force of words. Like actually ripping through you and getting in that door. Within that very moment, widened eyes saw the visage of the black wolf before her. It was a terrifying thought. But it was followed by another set of words. That's not what I meant to say.
Though, still in shock, the fae jumped back in her chair, the cup dropping to the ground in a shatter. "Felix!" she said fearfully, but then took a moment to realize that he hadn't done anything. Blinking a few times, she then sat more straight in her chair, realizing that he was still human. But, what was that...? She hadn't heard the wolf talk much, if at all in his human form. Her eyebrows creased upward in anxiety and concern. But that... what he said... it had to be the wolf, wasn't it? She couldn't imagine Felix would want to have had to eat her and the kid up himself. Shifting cautiously in her chair, she didn't even notice the sharp pieces of the shattered cup that lay on the floor, her eyes not moving from him. "Your wolf..." she said slowly, not sure whether to run or to stay. "Did you manage to... control it?" she then asked, hoping that wouldn't pry him or even the wolf itself to come out. But that's what she had hoped of doing by leaving him. Helping him deal with the inner turmoil of the wolf. She wished that he was able to converge or to tame it or however that worked among werebeasts, but it seemed that... what she had done might not have worked. Or maybe it did, maybe he made progress and now the wolf can only speak through him in human form. That would be harmless enough, if he could still control himself while in human form that was.

The shrill tempo of her voice was far too familiar. Instantly it began a trail of echoes bouncing off the skull walls in his head. He remembered that look on her face, the tense up right position of her small petite frame and the utter terror that glistened in her eyes. The expression on his face darkened immediately in that fraction of a couple of seconds. A slow shadow of a malicious grin barely visible at the mere jump he caused her but as quickly as it appeared it was gone.
That’s right little fae. I’m still here. He heard the wolf cackle softly in his head.
Felix shifted a little uneasily as blue eyes followed the broken glass on the floor near her feet. It was almost as if his body acted upon its own accord and he was up on his feet and moved towards her. Carefully he bent down to the pick at the pieces of glass. His fingers nearly trembled as his breath felt shaky but he did his best to control it and not make it very noticeable. The adrenalin was causing his heart to pump wildly as a predatory urge started to creep in on him. His head felt woozy and he could almost feel black shadows creeping in on the sides of his vision. She shifted around in her seat obviously sensing a difference as well. ”You should be careful with that glass.” he said. ”Wouldn’t want you cutting yourself.” his blue eyes steadily lifted up to meet with hers and for a moment, he held it. He could smell the sudden change in the air now. It was thick not only with tension but with fear which was causing a giddy flutter in his chest. The wolf naturally had to take a calm situation and break it. What little closure he thought he was going to get wasn’t going to come. In fact… he needed to get out of there.
But even as his mind said this was the right thing to do, his body felt frozen and refused to obey. With gaze still locked on her, he lowered his hand and picked up a piece of glass until finally with another moment's breath he let it drop. ”you have something to put this in?” Her scent was much stronger and he could feel the wolf inhaling with deep pleasured breaths. He needed to move away but his body still wouldn’t cooperate. He willed it to back off, he willed his muscles to listen to him. So he just focused his mind on the small bits of glass he picked up. Felix found himself closing his eyes fighting to keep a grip on himself for a moment. He set of words were the only thing that stopped him and for a moment that shadowed grin appeared. ”I control him." It could have sounded as though it were him but it wasn’t. His voice and mouth moved without his consent. He hated this new trick the wolf found. Words that didn’t mean to come out flew with no regard. The feeling of having absolutely no control over his words, voice, or even his mouth was terrible. ”I---…. Don’t think I ever will.” he admitted. ”New things occur all the time. It’s almost a losing battle.” He looked from her as the muscles in his jaw ticked. ”I shouldn’t be here…”

It took almost a few seconds for the frightened fae to return to her senses, shaken as she then noticed Felix was down beside her picking up the broken pieces of glass. She looked at him carefully, though he did not shift into the dangerous black wolf. He was still Felix. He was still normal. Or at least the time being. Though, she didn't move from her chair as she continued to look down at him with partially widened eyes. Suddenly his eyes lifted to hers, she could almost feel if the wolf was there, watching. Though she had come back to her mind when he asked her if there was something to put it in. Eriu blinked a few times before slowly moving at her spot, her feet sliding sideways before standing. Her frightened eyes still kept on him however, despite the fact she was trying not to show her fear. "Yeah... I have a bag in the kitchen..." she said softly, before moving to the said room. Trying to catch her breath, Eriu stood at the corner of the kitchen, near the entry way. The bag was right there, open and ready to be taken. Probably still within the sight of him she had to take it, she couldn't stall time. Returning, if he would place the pieces into the bag she would collect it and put it back where she had grabbed it in the kitchen, on the counter to be thrown out later. But that was far from her concern. Her concern right now was Felix. He said that he controlled him, yet he didn't. Was he conflicted? Or, was it... something much more menacing?
Returning once more, the fae was going to try to stand her ground. Try and do something that she had never done before. Facing her fear again was her worst nightmare, but it was for his sake. Standing only a few feet away, legs spread apart, she looked on at him bravely, a facade perhaps. So what she had done didn't work. She honestly thought that he would be able to control it, at least a little bit better. Still, he hadn't turned into the wolf yet, so that was a good sign. But he was right, all things considered he shouldn't be here. He was a danger to her, and even her neighbors. Everyone around him was constantly in danger, and that... must be sad. To never be able to be around anyone, knowing that you might hurt them accidentally. For all these years, was that what he thought? She didn't know about what he did, if he had any friends, but at least he had Larkin... That to her brought her a great sense of relief. At least there was someone in the world whom he could care for again. She just hoped that he would treat her right. And not treat her like he did to Eriu and Lux.
She wished to speak those words to him, to advise him to not leave her the next time he finds her. Eriu knows that he will. But, right now there were more important matters. She had to make sure that his wolf couldn't bring harm to anyone ever again. She was alone now, no one else was present, not even Larkin which could perhaps be a good thing. She only hoped for the girl's safety, for what about she was going to do. Holding herself upright, the fae almost nearly was shaking in her shoes, but she had to be strong. "Stay," she said, although a little shakily, however the tone was firm. She didn't want to look at him, but yet she did.
"I... I want to talk to you... your wolf," she said distinctly, evidently how much she was scared behind those words. Call her idiotic, but this was the only way. If Felix couldn't control it all of this time, if no one would aid him, then she will. She just wanted to help. It was the hopelessness that made her think that the wolf might prove to be a danger to him. He could not loose hope, for all it was worth. And the wolf was apart of him, no, she knew it was him. The wolf may be an animal essentially but it was still Felix. It was as part of himself as he truly was now. Maybe it wasn't that he had to learn to control it, maybe it was just that he had to learn about that part of himself, and come to terms with it. To bring inner peace to such a devastated mind. Was it caused by something that happened in his family? By his father? She hadn't known much of his family other than the fact that he didn't see his father in a good light. Though maybe that was why. She didn't expect him to try and let the wolf speak, in fact she expected the opposite. Though she had a feeling that he wasn't able to control him while speaking to her this time. And she felt as though as she was being watched, by the wolf, waiting. Soon she would expect that he wouldn't be able to control it anyway, eventually the wolf will burst from within him. But she knew that it was there. That it could speak to her with perhaps some sanity.

He paused as she spoke watching her nearly tremble as she attempted to stand up. Holding a piece of glass in his hands he glanced down at it as the index finger slid over a sharp edge. She wanted him to stay and she wanted to speak to the wolf. Delightfully he could feel the nudging in his bones from the animal inside of him but he knew if he let him out it would be over. ”Now why would you want to go and do that?” Did she really want a death wish? Does she not remember what he nearly did to her and Lux? The wolf was nearly grinning in his head like a madman, a wide smile showing all of his teeth as he puffed with pride. Let me out, boy. he chanted. The whispers crawled all over his skull like spiders. Chills swept up and down his spine and he shook his head quietly.
”You don’t want to do that.” he said his voice low. ”Speak what you have to say now. He can hear it.” his blue eyes lift for a moment as he slowly drew to his feet. They both knew he was listening. He was quite sure she could pick up on it but if she was persistent enough the wolf would break loose anyways whether he wanted him to or not. Her smell was enticing him and now that he knew she was almost challenging him… it made it all the sweeter for him. ”If I let him out I can’t promise to stop what he might do.” Actually he could very well say she would be on her own. The wolf wanted Eriu.
Did she think this was the real way to deal with the matter? To let the wolf see the light of day and to let him escape only to make him work at regaining control again? Sometimes it could take minutes, others hours, and for the bad episodes… days.
Almost without his permission though his feet started to carry him a little closer, eying her a little differently. ”Surely you don’t want to be murdered in your own home…?” He asked.

"Felix I..." No, it wasn't going to be good enough. She could already hear him. The tone of voice was different. The wolf was there, and if he was truly listening, then he should hear her out. Though, she wanted to converse with him, not just have him hear things. But alas, he was going to come out anyway. Maybe he was even there. She shook her head, before looking up at him again. "I want to understand you, wolf," she told him, looking at him bravely as he neared closer. There was only so much he could do, however her swords lied on the other edge of the room. The only danger that he could pose to her is if he shifted. Even then... she felt confident that she could get away this time. Lux wasn't here, so there was nothing holding her back. She wasn't going to kill him of course, but there was nothing else she had to protect. She even took a step forward of her own, challenging him perhaps. Challenging him to come out. Come out and face her once again. She was scared before, and she still was, but this time was different. He had another that he cared for now. They had met again. He had come back. "I want to know why you want to hurt people..." she said in a slightly saddened tone, tilting her head slightly as she walked toward him. "Please, just talk to me. I want to help you. But you must answer me." She was intent on getting answers. She needed something more direct, a clue, so she could help Felix. At this point she didn't care if it was the wolf or Felix talking. She just needed an answer. Even if it were a lie, it would be better than nothing.
She had to figure out the wolf. Why it had attacked her and Lux on that night. She wanted an answer of something more than a threat or a cold remark. She wanted the wolf's feelings personally, even if they were Felix's. That was the way maybe he could control him, she thought. To understand his own feelings. Understand that he and the wolf are one and the same. "I don't hate you, wolf," she told him. "Not even after what you tried to do to me. I want to understand you. I will care for you, if you will just let me listen," she pleaded, her words emotion ridden. "I'm sorry I left you and Felix, but I thought you could understand yourself better if I did. I was afraid," she told him. She knew that he probably fed off of her fear. Much like a starved beast craving control. Respect. Perhaps he craved it so because he was afraid. What could the wolf be so afraid of, that would cause him to be that way? "Maybe you are too." Her voice dropped to a low tone. "I don't know why you act the way that you do, but I know that everything has a reason. A wolf eats because he's hungry. If you're hungry I can bake all the pies in the world. But I know it's something more than that. You wanted to attack me... Lux... for a reason. Please, just tell it to me." She looked at him sadly, not caring if Felix was actually there or not. She wanted the wolf's words, not his.
"Please, let's solve this together..." she reached an extended hand out to him.

She spoke his name and almost like everything in time stopped. The ticking of his heart throbbing in his ears. He could feel the heavy slinging of the wolf the more she tried to reason and understand. To him it seemed like a losing battle but the more she beckoned him, the more she challenged him, he could feel a tremble coursing through his body and the subtle changes were beginning. His once worried composure was steadily dropping into a cool, calm, and collective one. Shoulders easing down from their taut position down to his eyes beginning to haze over the distressed gleam with a distant dead stare. His hand still holding the piece of glass had his finger running over the sharp edge, letting it slowly strip away bits of skin little by little until it started to bleed. A small tug on the corner of his lip started though it was one that made you unsure of whether it was a start of a smile or a snarl. ”Understand?” he repeated her words. The tone that mimicked her word was deceiving switching in and out of Felix’s octave as blue eyes finally dropped for a moment to his finger that now had a thing layer of blood. ”What is there to understand?” In his opinion there was nothing. Just like the void that he had kept the wolf locked away in. You can’t reason with evil.
Cooly his eyes moved up towards her as she took a step forward. He knew what she was getting at. She thought the wolf was some misunderstood creature and naively thought she could help him understand himself. How wrong she was. The wolf knew who he was, understood perfectly was his goals were, and thrived to reach them in any possible way necessary. She was pleading with him --- with the wolf. Help could be the answer to all of their troubles right? He didn’t want her to do this but she refused to listen to him. She kept going and begging, her naive nature dragging her closer and closer to the wolf’s mouth. ”Eriu…” he started but almost in mid thought it changed. With the lightning strike of a snake, he gripped her hand with a tight grip and yanked her so hard forwards attempting to crash her frame into his. The very feeling of danger hung heavy in the air as he lingered in close to her face. He tipped his head looking her over for a moment.
”Existence.” a solitary word that held such a heavy meaning. He kept a hold of her hand refusing to let go, locking that much of her in place. ”You give him existence and reason to hang on.” It was such a smooth transition that one probably wouldn’t have caught it but the wolf was there, he was staring at her. ”Holding on to a meaningless existence. All of you: You, Larkin, Lucia, Adrian….” He paused for a moment before a cackle escaped him parting his lips to speak once more. ”Lux.” His voice almost glitched switching between tones in a low sick and menacing way. He knew that spawn was still alive. He didn’t know where she was but she was out there and he would get to her just like Eriu seemed to have come to him. ”You give him reason to keep going and remain real.” a snarl etched its way up. ”But he is weak and growing weaker. There is nothing you can do about it because It should be me.” Blue eyes began to get tainted with yellow as it leaked into them, overtaking the blue.. ”me, me, ME.” He tugged her closer harshing his hold. ”And so you must be destroyed. If you all don’t exist then neither will he.”
A madman's smile grew wide on his face.

Existence... She didn't have time to react as he pulled her close, however she didn't let go. Eriu could feel the pulse, the warmth against his chest as she was brought to it, the tight hold on her unrelenting. He wouldn't let her go. She didn't fight him off. She still had to try and understand him. Though as he spoke, the way his eyes shifted from blue to gold she felt fear. However her desire to help him overrode that fear. Even though as he held the piece of glass, that he could use to pierce her heart, even though he could turn into a wolf at any moment, she stood still. Waiting. But now she was slowly beginning to understand. Perhaps the wolf's real fear, no Felix's, was that they would merge. He feared weakness. And as he spoke their names she recognized all but one. Though she knew that maybe they were an important friend, though she didn't focus on that now. But it made sense now. Why he had attacked everyone close to him. Without this information, she wouldn't have been able to know the mind of the wolf. She had never tried this before but then again who thought to? To try and understand the wolf that everyone feared so much? Thinking that he would just go away if he was away from everyone. She even knew that Felix thought the same. But that wasn't the case. As long as he was there it would always be so. She had continued to think about his words. She thought that when she left him he would become strong. And Felix was strong in her eyes, to have survived without help, to go on without a family or anyone to care for him. Maybe that's where it all began. Maybe that was the nature of the wolf. Abandonment. Having a family to him was unreal. Anyone to care about and those that cared about him. But... if the wolf feared that Felix would be in control again, that he wanted to be separate from his own entity, then it would be impossible. However, that was also the very thing Felix wanted, to be separated from the wolf. If there was a way, some sort of magic that could split them, maybe she could find someone to help, however, in the end they were the one and the same person. But she couldn't let the wolf know that.
"But Felix is strong," she said, her chest still planted onto his, looking him in the eye. "He's strong because he survived when I left. But... if you want to exist, I won't stop you," she dared, looking at him with bravery. "You want to be in control... you think that if we're gone, that he'll be gone, and that makes sense but... there will always be someone that will care for him," her eyes dropped, looking toward his shoulder where she somewhat relaxed in his grip. She still had to be on her guard, be ready for the wolf to pounce, but not yet. She was willing to take this risk, in order for things to go well in the long run. "Even if you kill them all... even if you kill us all... there is always a chance that he will find someone. People. There are many more out there that will care for him. Even if you kill everyone in this world, he will still know that they cared." A tint of sadness was in her tone. After a short moment of silence she started again. "I think you are strong, wolf," she told him, looking back up at him again. "To survive with anyone to care for you. But, you don't need to prove that... Even if I'm dead I will still care for him. I also care for you too." What bravery. Foolishness. Naivety. Whatever he or Felix wanted to call it, she couldn't deny what she said. She still cared for him, just like any good friend would. But that also meant his entire being. The wolf too. In a way, she felt bad for him. So alone and lost, feeling trapped within something and trying to release all that anger. Maybe she made it worse by leaving him. But, they would still be here now even if she hadn't. Though, her and Lux might have been dead.
But, as now she was beginning to understand the wolf, the independence of his mind, the furthermore she had actually began to care. This was because Felix was hurt, she thought. Though, she may be falling into his trap, but, either way, she was still trying to understand him. Even if he does try and kill her in the process. Even if he does try to kill her, she will still care for the wolf. Even if he thought he was a separate being. She still clung to him closely, but she was trying to get herself ready just in case he attacked. "You are free to be in control, when you come here," she offered. A foolish offer but maybe in return he would leave her alive. She was living here by herself after all. There would be no one else that Felix cared for and no one else that despised the wolf. But... even if he did kill everyone. What else was it that the wolf wanted so badly? What else was it that he wanted that he needed to be in control for? Was it because he felt the loss of control? He knew things that Felix did. In the end they were one and the same after all. But, what did the wolf... like? "I'm also curious," she started, trying to push herself gently off of him were he to let her go, however if he still held she would stay there. "If you did kill me... if that is what you wanted... if you killed everyone... what would you... do?" she asked curiously. Though she was getting her wings ready to fly, just in case he wanted to find out.

She didn’t push back against him which was surprising but at the same time a little disappointing. The keen predatory eyes remained on the small fairy watching for every bit of muscle change for escape. Was she distracting him with her words so she could slip away from another time? A growl remained ever present in the air space between them as he kept his bruising fingered grip on her wrist to hold her in place. He wasn’t planning on letting go. He did once before and she was able to escape with that delectable little infant but this time, oh this time, it would be different. He would get his meal finally. Eriu would finally be the first puzzle piece to his master plan of breaking Felix not that she didn’t do a bad job on her own by leaving him miserable and to wallow in his own insanity.
Yellow continued to bleed into blue making the colors clash against each other in a rather radiant display. Felix was losing the battle and though he could feel the human trying to remain and plant his feet into the ground to keep from being dragged back… Eriu kept tempting the wolf out. Eriu’s beckoning made the wolf all the more persistent in staying. ”You couldn’t stop me even if you wanted to.” He snarled. ”I belong here not him.” It was the problem with living with almost two entities in one body. The other wanted to exist as badly as the host did. Such a naïve girl she was, she almost touched his heart with her sweet and charming words but unfortunately for her…. He was a monster. He deceived. He lied. He cheated. He was the very thing your mother warned you about.
”You don’t care for me. You don’t know me.” It was a weird thing to say since she did know Felix but he was an entirely different being he had an entirely different disastrous personality. ”Once you are all gone he won’t have a reason to hang on long enough to find someone else.” He would be as dead as he wished the wolf was. He allowed his features to change a bit and his grip to mimic loosening. It was all a faux pas reaction one in which seemed like she was reaching him. He could charm her, he could make her lose her guard that he knew well she had up and the last thing she would expect was when his teeth encircled her neck. But for now why not play with his food? Her next set of words were the very thing that would put a nail in her coffin. It was the very words he was waiting to hear. An invite.
A sinister smile crept on the man’s face and as he pressed his nose nearly right into hers he chuckled darkly. ”Don’t mind if I do.” Right before her very eyes he was switching skins. Fur grew and paws extended as he went to press his weight into her own and pin down her wings. Fangs snapped attempting to land on the very soft skin of her face.
