He couldn't remember anything. Nothing that happened. Darkness. That was all that clouded his eyesight. He could barely return to his senses. There was a dull throbbing pain in his head, however it had subsided. After a long wait, the wolf finally had begun to awake, feeling the warm air against his fur as his eyes slowly began to open. His white chest beat up and down periodically, as one did when they were first awakening. His cold blue eyes slowly then began to blink, returning to his senses somewhat. He could feel a comfortable feeling underneath him, like if he were sleeping upon clouds. As his eyes began to opening, his first sight was hazy, but as it then began to focus in, he saw wood. Where was he? As he continued to awaken further, he lifted his head from where he had slept. He couldn't remember what just had happened. He didn't think to recall his first memory yet as he continued to inspect his surroundings, eyes drifting from the wooden call to a cabinet, then a small round table, followed by large curtains draped by a large window that gazed out into the night sky, covered with pine trees. It was dark outside however inside it was brightly lit with warm hues, light coming from candles upon the circular chandelier and a small fireplace. This place was unfamiliar. As he tried to recall how he might have gone here, he noticed that he was laying on a bed himself, though, he felt different. He could feel a pain in his chest, however it was dulled. He rested his head back down onto the white mattress, not focusing on anything further until his eyes rested upon Wryn.
"What happened?" he asked. Wait... it was telepathy. Radulfr had felt different, and looking down, he saw that resting upon the bed was his white fur. His head bolted up, gazing at himself as he saw himself in his wolf form. His chest was wrapped in bandages as well, and his blue orbs widened. He... he didn't remember turning into a wolf. Shifting his gaze back up at her, Radulfr propped himself higher upon the bed, however now the pain came back. Wincing as he felt as if daggers were shot through his chest, he laid back down on the mattress, breathing more heavily than before. What had happened? Now he was trying to remember. He hadn't remembered turning into a wolf. Venturing back into his memory, he recalled that he was at the ball with her. They had met with Alvina and the other man, then they had continued to stay there for the night. Then the Final Dance came around, but then it was all... hazy. He thought that it was him that couldn't remember, but how he got into wolf form was beyond him. He couldn't transform with his mask on, for it was physically impossible. However, back at the dance he was wearing nothing but that silly suit they stuffed him in. But... he still wouldn't have. He hadn't shifted in over a hundred years, what decision possibly would have wanted him to shift now? Looking upward again, his icy eyes met the girl again. Did she know what happened? Why was he injured? Where were they?

Wryn was poking at the small fire that she had started when Rad began to come around. There had been rumors that the werebeasts were back to normal again. But still...she worried. He spoke to her telepathically and for a moment confusion crossed Wryn's face. She could recall someone telling her about it but actually experiencing it was a little unsettling. And at the ball he had knocked her down. Stared down at her with those cold unforgiving eyes. There were tiny pockmarks from his claws on her shoulders but he hadn't actually broken skin. She was still wearing the elegant dress she had been given but it was now torn and smeared with not her blood, but Rad's from when she had carried him. She frowned and didn't move toward him but tried to find an answer to his question that wouldn't upset him.
"...something happened, to all the were beasts. Everyone shifted and they...weren't themselves."
She had gotten off lucky really. Many people had been torn apart by the very people they arrived with. "Are you alright? I was so worried." Her eyes glimmered with unshed tears, worry that festered while he slept. But still she didn't move toward him. Remembering how he had torn those people apart. That look when she was certain he would rip her flesh from her bones. But he hadn't...he hadn't.

He looked up at her in confusion, and it was probably evident in his wolf-like features. What happened to them? How did they shift? What could have possibly been able to force them to do so in the first place? But, he then knew that Wryn would not have all the answers. Though, seeing the blood stains on her dress, it caused him to widen his eyes and bolt up in a sudden movement, only to fall back down onto the bed again, breathing more heavily than before. He was injured somehow, that much he knew. He could feel as if his lungs were torn apart, and it made it difficult to breathe. But somehow... it got better. As if he were recovering. But, he had never had an injury like that before. Not his entire life had anyone punctured anywhere that close. Even through the torture, they had never did anything to him that would have nearly killed him like that. Only once he felt a similar feeling... Memories flooded back into his mind as he recalled the wheel. That was the only time it was made as difficult to breathe. Going into the water. Over and over and over and over and over again. A never ending process. The never ending water that he went through. And that was only the beginning.
However his mind then returned to the present, shaking away the thoughts as his blue eyes then made back toward her again. She asked him how he was. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said shortly, trying to prop himself up again however he fell as quickly as he rose, contradicting his very words. Still, he looked back up at her again, gritting his teeth from the slight pain. "What about you?" he asked, worry evident in his tone. "Are you hurt? You're covered in blood." He couldn't hide his thoughts too well. If he could he wouldn't have pointed it out. "Did I..." now he caught himself. But he knew that she would figure already. "I was... What did I do?" he asked, looking up at her anxiously. He wanted to hear everything, though he knew he wasn't going to like what he was going to hear.

Wryn's body jerked when Rad lept to his feet then fell back against the bad. She barely held the urge to run in check. That instinct to escape someone that had stared into her eyes while gnashing his teeth, his breath dancing across the skin of her neck. But this was Rad. Her Rad. The man who protected her through thick and thin. She knew it wasn't in his nature to act like this....not against her. His words were short, almost cross and Wryn turned her head to stare at the fire without a reply. After he ask if she was alright she would nod.
"Its not my blood." She said softly, her tone making it very obvious that it was his. That she didn't like him brushing off her concern as he had. Her throat tightened when he ask what he had done. Her lips pulling into a thin line. "You just...knocked me down. And a guard stabbed you." She left out the details of him killing the people. She didn't think it would bother him but she didn't want to risk upsetting him. "Do you feel....strange? I never pictured you as a white wolf...you're beautiful."

He looked at her as she explained, apprehensive blue eyes peering toward her. They softened when she had said that it wasn't her blood. That was relieving, he was glad that it wasn't. Whoever's it was, he didn't care. Heck, it could even be his own blood, from the apparent wounds he had. Though, he couldn't recall what had happened, and continued to listen as she spoke, his head resting further on the bed as he breathed. So that's all that happened? It was less than he had thought. However, he could not remember, so he had to take her word for it. He was surprised that a guard would have stabbed him, what sort of spell had come over him? Did it overcome her too? No, otherwise she would have been as clueless as he. His eyes then moved straight forward, staring out onto the wooden walls as he continued to breathe. His head then perked up at her when she asked the question, and he rose slightly, though just a little as to not harm himself too much.
Radulfr thought about it. Did he feel strange? Well, he muzzle was quite sore, much like after a good hunt and digging his teeth into flesh. His chest had throbbing pain, though it was now healing thanks to however he got the bandages. It just made his breathing wheezy is all. "I feel fine," he said, which was mostly true. His eyes then widened at her statement. "What?" he asked subconsciously, then the wolf averted his head down and to the side. He was silent for a moment. Though he thought he should say something. She wished to see his wolf form for some time, though it was something he continuously denied. At least she didn't find him frightening, though.
"Thanks..."
He didn't know what to say. He would try to transform back immediately but he knew that it would be painful with his healing wound deep in his flesh. However, the werewolves healed much faster than most. Though that was not to say that his wound could heal that easily. It must've been deep, and perhaps it would have been almost lethal if it weren't for his healing. But he didn't like this form. This is not how he would have wanted to transform in front of her. He felt vulnerable. Much like how he was back in the ballroom. His mask... Where was his mask?!
Though the wolf could not think of such a thing right now, for he was still in treatment. The ball was over now he presumed, but was it just he who was turned? How? Why? He didn't have any answers however he knew that his armor must have been still back where it was originally. His gaze returned to the human, then wondered how much time had passed since he couldn't remember. The sky out the window was very dark, only the few stars alighting the sky with its twinkling dots. It wasn't going to be morning anytime soon. Looking with concern at Wryn he moved himself toward the other edge of the bed, making some more room upon it.
"You can lay down here. I'll just try to go on the couch," he said, moving up more so than before as he heaved himself up, however his body soon collapsed yet again as he fell onto the sheets. Maybe not. Though there was only one bed in the room, so there would be no where else for her to go.

Wryn didn't have all the answers, she herself had many questions. But she also didn't want to tell Rad much of what she did know out of fear of upsetting him. She was quiet up until Rad scooted around the bed and told her she could lay there. That he would go to the couch. "No don't move, Rad. You're going to hurt yourself." She said hurriedly and had even stood just in case he tumbled from the bed. But when he fell back down onto the sheets Wryn watched him for several moments. Eventually moving toward the bed herself and sitting down on it beside him. Somewhat close, close enough to make her nervous after his display earlier.
"...so you don't remember any of it? Not one little moment?" He was lucky, she thought to herself. To be able to forget the sights and sounds back in the ballroom. Wryn and Rad had never been...involved. And because of recent events she now understood his hesitation. It was something that she respected and while she never tried to convince him of such things she did crave that closeness. That intimacy.
She lay back on the bed beside him. Slowly she reached out so that her fingers could lightly trail down the fur of his spine. Keeping her eyes carefully averted just in case he responded angerly."I hope you heal alright. I was going to call a healer but they are all...busy."

Being told to not move he silently obliged, the white wolf continuing to lay across the bed as his blue eyes followed her as she approached. He continued to breathe, his chest rising and falling. So pathetic. He was so weak in this form. He just wished that he could transform back. Go back and grab his mask. Despite being in his wolf's skin, it just felt so odd, so out of place at the moment. Radulfr just wanted to get away from there, to retrieve his armor and return to their normal life. But now, their life wasn't going to be the same, as it always had. It had never been. Not ever since what happened back at the mansion. It was still an oddity that she continued to be here with him now. It was probably out of pity, he thought. And he despised that fact. Though, Wryn had stuck with him through thick and thin, even after he had killed her master, after everything of what happened. They ran from guards together. They had wandered in the wilderness together. So perhaps it was just more than that. But... now she knew so much about him. She knew everything yet they hadn't spoke a single word about it. And now here he lay before her, a wolf. It just felt so, bare. As if his very soul was taken out of him and placed into her hands. Fortunately no one else was in the room, for it they were the angry beast probably would have tried to pounce on them to scare them away. Yet, as strange and foreign as it felt, this form was rather... familiar. A warm feeling perhaps. Back in the old days, in his old clan, when he used to go hunting. Even after everything of what happened. Until he got the mask, that was.
So in a way it was sort of relieving, however he noticed the hesitation in her eye. Whatever he did... it must have had an effect on her somehow. The question of whether she was going to continue to be with him after he was healed was up for debate. He didn't know but wasn't going to question it. It seemed like there was more of what he did, or maybe the fact that he had frightened her by suddenly changing into his wolf form but he did not know what sort of spell was cast. His gaze then averted forward, nowhere near where the human had sat. He tried to think, tried to remember since he was more fully awakened now. His memory crossed back, to when they had come back from the gardens. He felt rather guilty for leaving her alone. Alone without a purpose for being there. He wanted to give in, if only a little, to make her happy. Then the king gave a speech. He couldn't remember the words he spoke but what happened next he did recall. The mages standing on stage, chanting some sort of spell that washed across the ballroom. Then, he could remember feeling like a rush of pain hitting him in the head. He remembered he closed his eyes and grasped onto his head as if the wave was continuously hitting his brain. But then... everything else... was black.
"I don't," he spoke, eyes lifting back up to meet hers again. "Not ever since they casted the spell. The mages, they must have done this..." And oh how they will pay. Though they must have been long gone, whatever happening when he turned into a wolf. It was futile to chase them down now, but if he were ever to cross paths or find any of them. Oh how they would see his wrath. See what happens for doing this to him. But, then he remembered that Wryn said it turned all werebeasts into creatures. That they weren't themselves. For what purpose could have had that to happen? But, that also meant that maybe the mages were already killed. Such would be a disappointment.
Nevertheless, he didn't think about that anymore, and the human spoke again. His eyes widened slightly. "You healed me...?" he asked in astonishment. He didn't think she would have had the knowledge or skill, yet he felt as if he were coming from the brink of death. If she truly did then he would be impressed. She must have really cared to do such nice bandaging around his chest like that. But, the injury still felt, strange. As if he were punctured in the chest, though it was also tough to breathe. Just what sort of attack did the guard do against him? But he wasn't that far concerned with what the guards thought of him, as he was an outlaw already anyway. But, he did need to go back and get his mask at least. Unless, did she happen to bring it here too? He doubted it as his eyes made their way across the room, seeing everything before him. Where were they exactly? Were they far from where the ball was held? He hoped not. But, he was fortunate to be alive, at least. And that Wryn was as well.

Realizing her mistake Wryn shook her head and looked down. "No, I ran into someone on the way here. She was kind and tried to help but everything was so bad-but I think she did enough to keep you alive so that you could start healing." She moved slowly, cautiously as she leaned back on the bed to lay down. Still warry that he might attack even though he seemed more himself now. "You should rest, Rad....you almost died." It was a cautious move but slowly her hand reached toward him. Her fingers settling gently on the fur of his back. Not petting, just resting there to reassure herself that he was alive.
