Magical Ability:
[break]Mages: Lorne's magic is a strange combination of blood magic and fire. Her blood/or any blood must be brought out for her to make fire. Serving then as a fuel, a trigger for her flames. Once these flames are burning she can control them at will and not suffer their wrath. But a flame not of her creation will still burn her all the same. The more blood the more powerful and hot her fire will burn.

Appearance:
Lorne has dark caramel skin along with eyes that appear so dark that it is hard to distinguish her pupil from her iris. Her hair is obsidian and very long. Straight unless braided or curled to lay differently. She is slender and not very curvy, a bit taller than the average woman. Her lips are full and her cheekbones are high. Her skin has many pale scars of her own creation from where she coaxed her flames forth.

Personality:
Lorne feels guilty for the death of her friend but it has not deterred her from using her powers in the least. She has however learned to be more careful when using the blood of others...at least if it's someone she cares for. She is fairly bold and outspoken but she also has spells of silence and deep thought and generally bounces between the two extremes without falling into a gray area. She has been known to be rather free with her intimacies and while she doesn't doubt love exists she doesn't see sex a way to find or get it. She would scoff at the idea of someone saving themselves for 'someone special'. She dislikes the college of Lledrith just because of rumors she had heard of it. Although anyone not accepting of her magic would automatically get on her bad side. In Mirthal her magic was seen as rare and somewhat unknown, but never forbidden. She loves her magic and still sends letters to her parents on occasion. One day she might venture back to Mirthal....some day.

History:
Lorne was born in the hidden city of Mirthal amidst other mages. It was truly both the best and worst place for a child such as herself to be born. Her parents were both mages and were eager for their daughter's power to come to light. It was actually when Lorne was around seven years old that her ability was discovered. A scrape on her knee that ignited like gasoline touched by a flame. It was a type of blood magic they said, something that in general carried a negative connotation. But in Mirthal it was accepted, even encouraged. She was a happy bright child who had friends and learned under the patient tutelage of the older mages when she wished to learn.
[break][break]
It was an accident. Just an accident. But it made things spiral so horribly out of control. Lorne was twenty when the accident occurred. Lorne had discovered that any blood served as a catalyst for her fire. But she needed blood to make fire. But just how much blood? How much was too much? The girl had been sweet and trusting, the same age as Lorne. They had grown up together. But that girl would die at her hands. A horrible accident. Too much blood, so much.
[break][break]
Lorne wasn't forced to leave Mirthal. But she couldn't handle the look on the faces of her friends family. The guilt gnawed at her until she was forced away from a city where her magic was accepted and out into the 'real' world where it was feared. Lorne would bounce around between odd jobs, earning coin in less than honorable ways on occasion, eventually finding herself looking to join a pirate ship where she would encounter her rather stoic friend Oceane.
[break][break
Lorne doesn't always sail or travel with the pirate crew she has attached herself too, but more often than not she finds herself pulled into their adventures. Life isn't cheap and coin doesn't just fall from trees.

Miscellaneous:
Her mages mark. It curls around her hip on each side and is symetrical.
