Carjen is a harsh and serious man, usually poised and composed, but also short tempered and irritable, wrathful and violent. It's difficult to get along with him at large, he's intellectual and able to form basic relationships but getting to know him is like moving a mountain, it's hard and cold and unyielding. Secretly, he is incredibly emotional and sensitive to the things that he wants or needs, obsessive, compulsive and greedy. There's a lot more to him than he lets on, but getting him to admit it is like shaving a cat. He'd rather die than show such weakness.

Cold and unfriendly, Carjen is difficult to befriend. He generally likes to keep his distance from others, callous and aloof in a way that only a cat can be. He prefers to spend his free time immersed in his work, folded over a piece of leather carefully stitching shapes or patterns into the seams, or quietly reading a book in his library. He is introverted and subtle, preferring quiet pastimes to loud parties or obnoxious gatherings. He values his image and will attend gatherings as is necessary to keep up appearances, maintain alliances, and so on and so forth. But really what he likes to do is sit quietly by the river or in the middle of an open field and just exist in solitude. To be his friend, you'll have to give him his distance, time to himself to be introspective and silent, he gets lost in his own thoughts a lot. But his thoughts can be dark and sinister things, it's important for his friends to be able to pull him out of his reverie when he's better without it. He also has a short temper, that will require patience to deal with.




Enemies are easier for this panther to find in this crazy hostile world that he lives in. Ill-mannered with a short fuse, he is fiery and fierce with others, sometimes bordering on cruel and unruly, he can be reckless and dangerous with the emotions and feelings of others. He lacks a lot of empathy, literally does not understand his fellow man and therefore makes a lot of mistakes when handling tough situations. But he's also uncaring and apathetic, generally unconcerned with how someone feels about him. He will happily spit insults and fire curses at someone if they have nothing that he desires, he thinks very little of others generally, especially if they have wronged or offended him in some way. He's a stubborn serious man, he takes his grudges to his grave and will see revenge through to the ends of the earth. It's generally a safer path to try and avoid seriously crossing him. Fortunately, he is a busy man. It takes more than a small slight to elicit his full wrath, even a short fight or a scrap won't immediately doom someone to his hatred. You do have to earn it somewhat.




Carjen has not experienced the mating bond that so many werebeasts speak so highly of. He's in fact quite skeptical of it. But there is a chance that someone out there is destined to be with him. It would be a hard battle to fight, Carjen is not gentle in any way, but especially not when his inner walls are being threatened by emotions like love. He has no time for such distractions. So it would take a lot of work to get him to see you as anything more than a potential alliance, more than anything you'd have to be useful to him. He values things like intelligence and tactics, but also fighting skill and prowess in battle which is something he rather lacks so he is easily impressed by this. Also skills in a certain craft he has a lot of respect for, being somewhat meticulous and detail-oriented himself. He'd seek someone of like mind, someone introverted and quiet, but also strong in their own right. He would benefit from someone with some emotional awareness as he is emotionally constipated and knows nothing about dealing with feelings. Though he claims to be heterosexual and speaks mostly of women,
he seems to have no preference between genders and has lain with both men and women.
