[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]it was selfish of him to think she would want to say just for him. She spent the majority of her time alone and he could only visit when he was given an errand or a girl to hunt – such as now. Though he wondered if he made it more accommodating if he could convince her to stay there just a little longer. He wasn’t sure why he wanted her to stay there so bad. She was like his own little escape, his safe place. Though she didn’t keep the wolf at bay she made him feel relaxed. It was a feeling he didn’t get anywhere else and he was wanting to greedily hold onto it. No less, Larkin was a person and he would be just as bad as his boss if he had kept the girl away from social life to where she couldn’t build her own life.[break] The sudden realization that she could leave him entirely… be with someone else…. Made his skin crawl in irritation. Imagining someone putting their hands on her whether it was warranted or not nearly made him want to break the invisible man’s hand even though it was purely a thought.[break] Her bouncing was what brought him back to the real world though as she seemed to perk up with the thought of food. ”Easy.” he said. ”A tiny town is a half hour east of here, we could head that way. We can get you some things to bring back here that won’t spoil like veggies or something. I will do my best to bring you back meat for your late night meals.” he nodded. ”Its just too bad you have nowhere to store them but luckily…” he paused his voice dropping a little. ”this is only temporary and you won’t be out here much longer.” She grabbed his hand with hers gently causing a smile to press on his lips. ”And I can still bring you some books to fill your time until you are able to go back.” with that he started to tug her to follow him.

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ The little recluse was actually thrilled at the idea of going to town. Being in the same dreary cabin alone day after day could wear on a girl. And fresh vegetables practically made her mouth water. "I don't eat much meat." She said with her lips pushed to one side in thought. "I do on occasion but its not really a staple for me. But tea, I would love to have some tea!" She was practically giddy now and had she been in rabbit form she would have been undoubtedly kicking her tiny feet into the air with excitement. With her fingers clutching his own she followed him. The mention of books again making her smile.
"I love books, reading. Some say too much because I never really act or do, just read and think. But I don't mind it. I'm actually-well I was. I don't know if Ives will let me go back to it. But I was in training to be the next lore keeper." It probably meant nothing to him. He didn't appear to have any elven blood while Larkin could easily pass as a full blooded albeit not from the strongest blood lines, elf. Until she shifted into a rabbit. Something that she had only done rarely before meeting Felix. Her brother wanted her to hide it, no one knowing kept her safe. Hybrids were treated as if they were a step below everyone else. Something she would never quite understand.
"Do you read, Felix? Have a favorite book?" She was well aware that not everyone could read and it saddened her. Everyone should be able to escape from reality for a little while. She squeezed his hand and peered up at him. Frowning slightly when she caught the swelling of his face. It had to hurt. "Are you sure your alright?" Continuing to walk along beside him she tried to remember if there was anything good for swelling. Cold of course...something not readily around in the middle of summer. But maybe a swim in some cold water would help. "Maybe you should go for a swim in some cool water? I think that helps...you really don't have to take me to town. I'm alright."

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]He could have figured that but he was trying to be nice about the whole thing. After all it was his fault she was here in the first place. Head bobbed a little as he listen to what it was she liked. ”Okay. We can get you some.” he said. The least he could do was make the abandoned place much more comfortable for her and then maybe ---… no. He breathed through his nose causing a small sting. Yeah getting kicked in the face probably made him look a little terrible but he wasn’t overly concerned about it. To be honest he had worse things done to him. He had probably also done worse things to some of the girls he guarded.[break] She continued on about books and how she hoped Ives would let her continue her training and this and the other. He didn’t know who Ives was or what even training had to be done to even care for books. It seemed a little odd to him but whatever. At her question of him liking a book he gave her a small expression. He never had time to sit down to read not that he didn’t know how but he wouldn’t profess that he was very good at it. He didn’t read with a smooth voice and some big words could catch him up on reading. ”I don’t really remember the last time I read one.” he admitted. ”So I suppose that means I don’t have one.” He looked down at her wondering if disappointment would play on her face. He didn’t really like disappointing Larkin. He didn’t know what it was but her disappointment was almost harmful.[break] He could feel her continue to look his face over and he wondered just how bad the bruising really was. The only thing that bled as far as he was aware of was his nose but who knows what else was actually wrong. Her voice was soft when she spoke up again and he nodded slowly. ”My head is a little fuzzy but I believe I am okay.” lifting her hand up and turning it over to where the back of her hand faced him, he kissed it. His blue eyes locked on to hers for a moment to ensure what he was saying was true. His head did feel a bit muddy, his thought process hard to keep in a straight line but he was managing better than he was earlier. ”I’m not really dressed for swimming and neither are you.” he said. ”Or is it you just wanna see me naked?” he teased her softly snickering. ”Aside that I’m not sure where one is close by. Have you seen any?” though he wasn’t sure she actually wandered that far from the house but who knows. Maybe she did.

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ "I imagine you don't have time for such things." She reasoned with herself on his behalf. Not that she would have thought negatively of him or anyone for hating to read, it was simply something she enjoyed. She smiled when he said he was alright and kissed her hand. Tingles from the brief touch spreading up her arm. She nodded when he said he didn't have anything to swim in. Her eyes widening and a blush flooding her face and neck at the comment about seeing him naked. "N-no thats n-not it!" She quickly stammered.
"I haven't seen one, I've been drinking rain water." She frowned. "I'm not a very elfy elf I guess...afraid to go into the forest by myself." She laughed softly, her fingers clutching tighter around his own. "I can't swim anyway. I just thought the cold water might help your head." Suddenly Larkin bounced around in front of him. Light on her lithe feet as she snatched his other hand in hers as well.
"You think they will have strawberry tea?! I love strawberry tea. My brother always-" Suddenly her voice broke away and the skin of her brow wrinkled at the memories of her brother bringing her strawberry tea when she felt ill or just had a particularly bad day. She missed him and hoped he wasn't too worried. The thought of causing her pain worried her. He had been through so much already.
"....Do you think I could send him a letter? Just to let him know I'm alright....I'm sure I can think of some reason for disappearing so suddenly." She chewed on her lip then stretched up on her tip toes to give Felix a brief kiss before releasing his second hand and starting to walk again. One hand still clutched within her own. "If I cant I understand. I just worry about him."

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Her stammering and blushing got him to grin even brighter. How cute. Her cheeks immediately flustered and she was trying to hide the embarrassment that quickly flooded her. The emotion was so genuine he actually appreciated it and for a small moment nothing in the world seemed bad. Only for a moment. She continued on to saying she wasn’t very elf-like because of her lack of adventurous spirit and that she was only trying to help his head. ”You don’t?” he asked curiously. ”well that is all the more reason to teach you how!” he said nodding his head. ”I could teach you. Albeit I am no champion swimmer but if you learn the basics of floating and moving you will be fine. Rest comes with practice.” this actually kind of made him eager about it. It was harmless and more than likely fun. Of course if she wanted to learn that is.[break] Before he could ask her if she was interested in learning he was quickly left blinking when her thought completely changed and she was now bouncing in front of him grabbing both of his hands and asked about strawberry tea. His brows rose as he was trying to catch up with where her mind landed her. ”I…don’t… know?” it took him a moment to gather that she was likely back to talking about the town. ”Im sure we could probably make some though if not?” he shrugged. ”Whats the difference put strawberries in tea.” To him it sounded disgusting but most tea and most fruit were disgusting. He liked his meat…. Thanks to the wolf. She seemed saddened when she spoke about her brother though and it caused him to frown. She must really hold a big place in her heart for him. It was sweet. Though she asked for a letter and he really didn’t want to tell her no but he knew the damage that could be done if she did. ”Im sorry…” he said quietly. She then lifted up and pressed her soft lips into his own barely giving him time to react before she was pulling away and now walking with him at his side. ”I wish you could…. But I don’t think it’s safe. Someone could see it or it gets intercepted before reaching him and you could be in danger of being found.” blue eyes avoided looking at her though keeping them on the trail straight ahead. ”You will be reunited with him soon though. I am sure. Just have to give me a little bit of time.”

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ Larkin's head tilted as she contemplated his words. "Maybe...but on a day when your not hurt." She tapped her chin with her finger. "Also, I chill really easy if I get wet...the rabbit side of me I guess. So it would have to be a pretty hot day." At the mention of making strawberry tea she nodded. "From what I've heard its not hard." They were walking again and she waited for him to answer her about the letter. It wasn't what she had hoped but she had expected as much.
"I understand." She said softly. Unable to hide the disappointment that lined her words. But as Larkin went she didn't linger on sad things when it could be avoided. As it was she was going to town to maybe get some tea, and some food. She had companionship in the form of Felix who she quite enjoyed. Her grip on his hand loosened for only a moment before she pushed the sadness away and renewed her grip. Lifting her chin a little higher as if she could force the thoughts away with only willpower.
