Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ Larkin's knee jerk reaction to someone stooping down to grab her was to flee. At least that was what she planned to do. But like a deer in the headlights she froze, her little heart hammering away in her chest as she was lifted into the air. As she was snuggled against the woman's cheek Larkin had the very distinct impression that she wasn't with the men that had been in her home only a while before. She stared up at her and tilted her head to the side. Should she say hello? But that would make it known what she was...what if this woman wasn't a friend of Felix. What if she was someone dangerous? Even if she didn't appear to be.
So Larkin remained silent as she was carried outside and deposited on the earth with the instructions to find her mother. She nuzzled the hand that came back down to pet her one last time. Actually starting to enjoy the attention from the friendly stranger. But then she was was walking away. It wasn't until that moment that she saw Felix and the tiny rabbit immediately stood up on her back legs, tiny front ones folded against her chest as she peered up at the both of them.
"I'm fine." She replied telepathically. Letting her message convey to both of them. Apparently this woman was his friend if they were traveling together. She didn't see any reason to hide what she was from anyone Felix trusted. She hopped closer to Felix and then up onto his shoe, stretching upward so that her front paws could lean against his leg. "Some men came by a while ago. They were talking about you, and me...I think. But I hid in the cabinet." One might assume that a little creature practically tugging at a man's pants leg was begging to be picked up. And although she didn't say those words out loud perhaps she was. Wanting to feel safely snuggled in his arms.
She turned her blue eyes to the pretty stranger, one ear twisting toward her as if to listen closely. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything at first, I wasn't sure if you were safe." And as if Felix hadn't already called her name a few minutes before she went on to introduce herself. "I'm Larkin." She was still sitting upon Felix's shoe with her legs propped on his leg. Acting as if it wasn't odd in the least to see a were-rabbit running around and wanting attention. Turning back to Felix she spoke again. "Is she someone like you then? Or someone like me?" Meaning of course was she someone who would catch girls or a captured girl. Just being a trader wouldn't make her automatically bad news in Larkin's mind. Not after spending so much time with Felix.

Eriu was about to head inside, until she heard speaking. Turning her head surprisingly she gazed upon the white rabbit that hopped ever so gleefully around Felix's legs. The bunny could speak? Oh... that must have meant she was a werebeast. Feeling no form of embarrassment, Eriu turned to face them again, wondering why such a girl would be here. She walked closer to the bunny, bending her knees slightly as she faced down toward her. "I'm Eriu," she introduced herself, but then her head turned to Felix. Why did he bring her here? Was this one of the hideouts? He said he would take her to the boss... was this cute bunny the boss?! Not believing in such irony, she continued to think about the real matter at hand. Was she one of the girls that got kidnapped? Was Felix holding her here against her will? So many questions that she didn't have the answers to, and Felix hadn't told her anything since they got here. Standing, she continued to look down at her.
"I'm not one of the bad guys," she said. She didn't know what Larkin said about someone like her or him, but she was here for a reason. "I was sent here by the authorities. I am a fairy swordsman. Everything's going to be ok. I'm going to get to the bottom of this, and all of the missing girls are going to be saved soon," she spoke, with the usual matter of a guard or soldier. One that was fighting for the authorities that was. But she didn't know how truthful her words would hold. Her attention then turned to Felix. "Who is she?" she asked, almost in a hushed whisper but audible enough for the bunny to hear. "Is she... one of the missing girls?" she then asked, turning a sympathetic eye toward her. Who could capture such an innocent little being? Was Felix supposed to guard her? Was he bringing her to their boss? Did she live here? What sort of relations did he have with her? It seemed that he was not harsh with her, and was rather concerned with her. Maybe he cared for her, she thought. If so, that would bring her some relief. She knew that Felix couldn't be so evil after all. He had some good in him, at least.

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Looking between the two ladies for a moment his brow arched at Larkin’s question. ”She’s….” But Eriu spoke up. It was a better answer than what he would have come up with since well in his opinion she was ‘no one’ to be concerned about. Then of course Eriu kept talking and he rolled his eyes. She was still stuck on that fantasy wasn’t she? Eyes dropped back down to Larkin as she said that some men had come through and he sighed quietly, so much for getting her back home soon. ”They must have retraced and found an over looked trail.” it was getting annoying running those block heads in circles. They weren’t going to give up though and he knew that the boss must have been onto him. It was weird that the boss distrusted him all of a sudden but it wasn’t something he was going to toy with and figure out why.[break] Eriu then spoke up and asked who she was and he snorted. ”Didn’t you hear her? She’s Larkin.” He said and crossed his arms over his chest. He wouldn’t admit to anything. ”She lives here, she’s not missing.” His brows furrowed. ”she’s my friend.” Which wasn’t a lie because over the few weeks he had kept Larkin, she had become a very close and dear friend of his. Someone he valued the safety of even against himself. Bending down he picked up the small rabbit. ”I must’ve missed something to have led them here. Sorry. I’ll be careful next time.” not giving Eriu a second glance he headed towards the house and once inside he set Larkin down. ”You can get changed if you want. We’ll stand out here….”

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ Larkin's ears twitched as Eriu spoke. Everything was going to be alright? Had something happened? Her tiny ears flicked back with worry and her blue eyes moved between the two much taller people with concern. They both seemed alright, as much as she could tell anyway. But then Eriu moved closer to Felix and whispered to him. Words that would be easily picked up by the rabbits sensitive ears. She would have frowned had she been in human form, wondering why the nice woman didn't speak to her directly.
When Felix knelt down to get her she happily snuggled into his arms. Her little nose twitched as she snuggled against him. Smelling a strong scent there, one she had a couple times before but it had never seemed so strong. Her nose wrinkled from the strong feline scent but she made not comment. Shaking her head when he apologized. "I'm fine, really." She looked over his arm at Eriu as she was carried away. Wondering why he was being so brusque with her and why they were leaving her behind. Once inside she understood and when he allowed her to she hopped down. "Just don't look." She said and moved over to her clothing to shift.
It was smooth now, taking little time. The scar was still a bit uncomfortable when it stretched but it was barely noticeable. Once she had slipped back into her clothing and pulled her long hair from beneath the collar of her dress she stepped back closer to the door. Leaning out so that she could see Eriu she smiled at her. "So are you a friend of Felix? I love your wings." She didn't attempt to hide the enthusiasm in her voice and her blue eyes moved up to the pink appendages. She looked behind her at the cabin that was now a complete mess and frowned. "I'm sorry Felix, had I known your friend was coming I would have tried to tidy up. I've just been hiding because they scared me." She tucked an ivory lock behind her ear and looked back at the duo apologetically.

Eriu waited as the two entered inside, not really knowing what was going on and she needed to think straight. She leaned on an old wooden post before Larkin's head poked out from the door, causing the fae to turn. "Yes... well..." she started, looking downward, thrown off by the question if she was a friend to Felix. What was she really? After all these years they have been separated, now only to have met once again. However, she was here on duty, in most circumstances he would be considered an enemy, which was something Eriu never would consider even when she was performing her tasks as a swordsman. She always had dealt with them peacefully first as that was the right way to do it, in her mind. But... what was she to Felix? What was he to her? She didn't really know what to think, or to say. Her eyes then traveled back up to the girl. "I guess you could say that..." she gave a curt smile. Despite what they have gone through, she would be willing to be friends with him again, she decided. Well, things were made much more complicated now but she was certain it would all work out, somehow. Though she was his friend once, so does that count?
She then nearly gasped in delight when she complimented her wings. "You do?" she asked, smiling as she turned her back around a bit, eyes peering back at the pink sparkling wings. She fluttered them a bit so that Larkin could get a good view. "Thank you, I've always liked my wings myself. I'm very proud of them," she then said. Indeed she loved her own wings. They were a perfect match for such a cutesy fae, who knew that they would match so perfectly. She then turned around again, facing her straightforward this time. She waved her arms in protest. "No, no, no! It's fine really!" she said about the mention of the girl tidying up. Eriu was not an expected arrival, and she didn't even know that Felix would bring her here. Even still she didn't ask for hospitality in this situation. She was quiet for a brief moment, but then began to speak again.
"So, you're helping out the missing girls?" she questioned, although this question was rather grave than before. She came a little closer this time, gazing at her anxiously. "I was sent here by the authorities. They want to discover who is kidnapping the women," she said, stopping after a step. "Any help would be appreciated," she then said, gazing only at Larkin. Felix hasn't told her anything, which is maybe why he brought her here? Who knew. Did she even know about the kidnappings? Was she helping Felix through this mess? If so, she would thank his good heart, but she wasn't certain about this whole situation yet. He hadn't told her much, just that this young woman was Larkin. That in itself was vague, though maybe she could get a direct answer from her. Maybe it was a trap, but Eriu would do anything to get more information, anything that told her things other than what Felix had said. But there had been men here? Why were they looking for her? Perhaps they were helping the kidnapped women after all, she assumed.

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] He stood with his back towards the door waiting for his little bunny to reappear again, only this time, a human. His arms were crossed over his chest as he stared down at his feet only to glance up when she headed out again.[break] Her question that came next caused Felix to sort of bulk at her words. ”N--..” But Eriu was quicker to answer it. A frown came to his face. She wasn’t his friend and he would never admit to it otherwise. ”More like ex. Not a friend.” he corrected glancing at Eriu. He had no happiness towards her more like sadness. Why did she have to be there why couldn’t she live in her fantasy elsewhere. ”A meddling ex who should keep her nose out of things.” he continued before looking back at Larkin. He prayed she would keep things to herself and hoped with the look on his face and hearing his words she would get the hint that he wasn’t open with Eriu.[break] Soon the attention turned to Eriu’s wings before she continued on with her gaze looking directly onto Larkin. He didn’t restrain the eye roll that came about. ”Authorities.” he mocked. She had been around him long enough to know when he was displeased about something and hopefully she at least got that if nothing else. ”Larkin is not missing, she’s here right in front of you. She lives here. How would a missing person be standing in front of you? Aside that the missing girls are something she knows nothing about. She has no part in it so stop trying to drag her into it.“ he was grtting a little defencive over his tiny rabbit. He didn’t want Larkin to have any involvement in the matter. Anything to do with the boss or the organization was completely out for her. He would keep her far from it and he was not liking Eriu’s questions. ”Do your own investigating. Keep Larkin out of it.” he snarled.

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ Larkin watched the two of them curiously. They were sort of friends? But no Felix said, more of an ex. Larkin blinked as her blue eyes moved back and forth between the two people who had arrived together. Not understanding why Felix seemed uncomfortable. Bordering on angry. "Ex?" She repeated hoping someone would clarify just what they were. When Eriu turned so that Larkin could better see her wings the little hybrid's eyes widened in awe. They were so beautiful, far more than any winged creature she had ever seen. She had a strong desire to touch one, to see if they felt soft or rough but Eriu spoke again and pulled her from her revelry. One of her hands dejectedly curling in the fabric of her dress.
Eriu's questioning left her speechless and unsure how to react. She only knew about herself...anyone else she had no information on. She frowned and was about to apologize for her lack of information when Felix bust in. Seeming rather unhappy about the questions being ask. His last statement was a near growl and Larkin stepped forward then, her small hand settling on his arm as if to ground him. Hopefully calming him. Eriu hadn't said anything cruel, she had just been asking questions and Larkin herself ask lots of those. She let her fingers slide down his arm to loosely grip his. Her blue eyes moving to the fairy. His friend/not friend/ ex something.
"I wish I could help you." She looked over to Felix for a moment, wondering why he was so adamant that she wasn't missing. Would this woman steal her away? Was she a different sort of bad person? She didn't understand much of it. She would have to ask Felix later when they were alone if he could clarify a few things that were nagging her. "But Felix is keeping me safe here. I don't know anything about the girls you are looking for." Her blue eyes moved back to Eriu and Larkin smiled awkwardly. Not knowing where this conversation could turn at this point.

She looked at Felix as he spoke, slightly taken aback by his words. Though perhaps it was more out of confusion and concern rather than shock. Her eyes met Larkin's, looking at her with sadness, perhaps a tinge of regret. "Yes, we're exes. I was his girlfriend once, but, even now I still consider him a friend," her head faced toward him, however she didn't expect a reaction from him. Maybe a look that was telling him that she was sorry She knew how hard it must have been without her, that it must have been painful, but what else could she have done? Her gaze then broke away, facing to Larkin again. But why? Why was he being so cryptic around this girl? He was talking as if there was no boss at all. Maybe she didn't know about it? But why was she here, in this old abandoned cabin? For some reason Felix was wanting to avoid the topic, and he snarled at her to leave her out of it. At that she unconsciously had taken a step back away from him. Her gaze shifted back and forth between them briefly, before settling on Larkin.
"Alright," she nodded, to the both of what they said. "But I'm afraid that things will get pretty dangerous soon." Keeping her safe though? From what, the men that were kidnapping the girls? It must be. Maybe that's why he kept her here, but he should have at least told her what was going on. Eriu didn't like the fact that she would be so naive about a dangerous situation, yet she did mention about the men. Whatever Felix's problem was, he just didn't want Eriu to know much about Larkin. Perhaps he saw her as some sort of threat, to whisk this girl away from him like she did with their daughter. It was understandable. Maybe this girl helped him through thick and thin, in this terrible situation. The fae didn't want to do that again, to pry her away but at the same time she didn't want her to get hurt. More and more she was just beginning to understand the situation. But if the men had found her there, and Felix wasn't going to be there anymore until he returns again... Something bad might happen to her.
Her eyes momentarily moved to Felix, as if deciding something in her own mind, before turning back to her. She stood forward, before her. "If you ever need a safe place to stay, my house is always open," she said, scared eyes moving again back to Felix, awaiting his reaction but hoped that he wouldn't become upset by it. "To the both of you." Her attention focused away, headed toward the abandoned house and she paced toward there quickly, coming back with one of the scattered papers that was on the floor and a writing utensil. On the side of the wall she began to draw upon the sheet. "It is in Niwetri, a few days from here," she said as she drew. Once she was finished she handed it over to Larkin. "You're welcome to come with me now, or later if you feel the need," she added, again looking over at Felix. She put her house on the line, if those men came back and found the map surely Eriu would be their next target. But it was a risk she was willing to take. Rolling it up in her hands she tried to place it in Larkin's hands and hers alone, looking at her with concern. "Whatever you decide, keep safe." With those words, she glanced at him again, then averting her eyes downward as she walked away from them.

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]He tried to slow his breath and keep it even. He didn’t need the wolf slipping out but Eriu’s presence was making it extremely hard not to revert. His gaze was harsh on the little fairy and he knew he would later regret everything he said or done towards her once he had a moment to reflect on it. He cared about Eriu, he would just never in this life time admit to it again. Not now. Not after she had thrown everything they had in his face and left him to wrestle with his beast alone. It wasn’t right to blame her for it but he couldn’t help it. She’d been his light then and much like the way she had with Wren, she stole it. Larkin’s question reached his ears and yet again Eriu beat him to the punch on explaining what it meant. Jaws tightened causing the muscle in them to twitch rapidly. ”then it’s only one of us.” A growl was slipping into his voice as he kept a predator’s gaze on the fairy. He could see the sadness creeping in. He could feel her becoming unnerved when she noticed his near snarl. It probably would have escalated had Eriu not step back and Larkin step forward.[break] It amazed him at what one tiny rabbit could do. Her touch was feathery and though the wolf fought against such a warm reaction, he could feel the rising tension subside little by little. His eyes were still with a deadly lock on Eriu but his head tipped ever the slightest in Larkin’s direction acknowledging such a small action. Before he could say more Larkin was quick to take control – weirdly. She was getting the notion that he wanted Eriu as far from this topic as possible. Maybe part of him was fearful that she would whisk Larkin away. He wasn’t entirely sure what was going on and why he was reacting so harshly but he knew one thing for sure he had the urge to keep Larkin out of whatever mess it was that Eriu could cook up. He wanted Eriu to forget about and further herself as well. He wasn’t lying about it being a dangerous game and the idea of his ex-girlfriend getting nabbed by the boss because her britches got too big wasn’t something he really wanted to deal with.[break] He had enough issues between keeping his skin intact on his hide, Larkin hidden, and the issues that were arising with him and Lucia. He didn’t need the fairy in the mix either.[break] Larkin’s fingers slid down and gripped his own causing the wolf to retreat. Almost with the same breath one could see its removal as shoulders slumped and eyes hid themselves for a moment. His chest felt lighter and not nearly as tight almost as if he could once more feel the ground beneath his shoes. Eriu spoke up after Larkin had basically stating she understood and that for once in her small boxed life… was giving in. Maybe she saw the shift too. Was she still scared of him? That put a pang of guilt in the pit of his stomach. So deep that he almost missed the next set of words as she opened her home probably more so to Larkin. He felt the movement again, possessive nature attempt to lock hold once more but he stamped it down as he watched the fairy now draw on a piece of paper. Eyes only for a moment shifted to Larkin. It wasn’t something he would consider for himself but perhaps her. Being in the same existence as Eriu was a bit of a tough thing to swallow but Larkin had no past with her and should things get too hairy….. maybe she could be stashed away there until he could figure out something better. They wouldn’t think to look in a fairy colony. ”We’ll keep you to it.” was all he said on the matter as she placed the paper in Larkin’s hands. He held still the tightness rising in his chest again as a possessive growl started to surface. He couldn’t help it. He claimed the rabbit maybe not rightfully but she was his and perhaps for selfish reasons.[break] Eriu soon backed off and moved away from them only to give him one last glance and head off.

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ Oh, she was that sort of ex. Larkin's smile didn't falter until Eriu seemed to grow sad. Her words laden with a heaviness that made Larkin frown. She hated to see anyone hurting. She disappeared only to return with a crudely drawn map that Larkin would look at after Felix handed it over to her. "Thank you, Eriu." She said and was disappointed when the pretty fairy walked away. She felt as if she had barely spoken to her at all but given Felix's obvious discomfort she didn't push it. She looked down at the map then neatly folded it so that she could put it safely inside one of her books later.
The silence stretched but eventually Larkin spoke. Her fingers now knitted loosely with his own again. "Was that her? The one you told me about before?" The hurt in the fae's eyes, the growly uncomfortable way Felix acted. It was obvious even to her that there was some bad history there. She didn't feel jealous or angry at the thought of Felix having someone. Larkin simply wasn't the possessive type. She could still see the hurt on both sides though and hoped that maybe one day they would both be alright.
"She's very pretty, I like her wings." An odd comment maybe, but it was Larkin and presumably by now he would be accustomed to hearing random comments that didn't seem to quite fit in with the conversation. Or her attention would drift and she would start talking about something else without warning.

The fae continued to walk away, not hearing what the other two conversed about. Larkin was not going to follow her, and she didn't expect her to. It was hopeless and futile anyway, but the real reason perhaps why she was going away was not evident. Felix wouldn't help her find the boss, and in front of Larkin she could not speak of it further. Somehow, she had to find more about the organization. Her footsteps followed those in the dirt, hopefully discreetly appearing to walking back from where she came. She hoped that Felix wouldn't notice the prints, but a few had caught her eye when she looked at the ground. They could be her only hope, but she would not converse with them like she had Felix. Instead, she would have to resort to sneaking around and actually scouting as she spies on them. She had gathered only some information, somewhat. But she really hoped that they would be safe. She didn't wave goodbye, as she did not want it to be their last. Afterwards she would return to Niwetri with any information that she had found, and hoped that maybe she would see them there.
