| | His vision was hazy by the time he had actually come to a state of where he was finally being aware. The more his mind started to pick back up five senses the more he started to feel the heavy weight of pain on his battered body. A shackle was around his neck incase the wolf did break out from beneath the blended drink felt tight against his throat. An irony tang was left in his mouth. It was blood and from the taste of it a lot of it. Most of it felt like it pooled in the back of his dry throat. As he struggled to swallow, tt made him gag a little as he attempted to clear it. His head felt like it had been rocked to the point it felt like his brains might come loose if he lifted his head. The cool cement beneath him chilled his bones that laid against it but he was too sore to attempt any movement. So he laid there. Listening to the dreadful sound of being alone in a dark underground cell. He knew exactly where he was as he had taken many others down there before him. It was a place of isolation for guardians. The ones who were put there as their fate was decided for them. Their final judgement. It could go one of two ways. This is where they sat at the Boss played god and decided whether they were to be put to death or simply forgotten. He wasn't getting out of this one not like he felt like he really should. He had betrayed Lucia, he had gotten Larkin captured, and he was now here in a dark hole probably going to be forgotten. So he laid there in defeat. The wolf in him too was caged though he tried his damnedest to get out from the defeat that had befallen onto the both of them. He pushed painfully against his bones willing Felix to let him out so he could take care of matters but he couldn't. It wasn't he who was keeping the wolf there... Rather it was some drink they shoved down his throat to keep him from being able to shift. The wolf was even too violent for the others to handle and in this time where the judgement was being placed they needed Felix and his wolf immobile. No less it didn't stop the wolf from trying and the harder he tried the more painful the ripping beneath his flesh felt. It felt like something that was stuck, too big to fit through a tiny hole was trying to bust from the inside out. Blue eyes closed in pain as he curled up a bit into the fetal position. He faced the near by wall laying on his side with his back facing the bars of the prison that held him. "Quit. We're done." he said to himself hoping the wolf would hear hoping the wolf would ease up. "It's over."A sense of relief was steadily starting to come to him as the built up pressure started to settle back down into the rest of his body. He had been so close to getting away with it but naturally, the little rabbit got him too wrapped up in his own pleasurable bliss. He didn't see it coming until they were literally right on top of them. He hoped Larkin was okay. The little rabbit couldn't take much pressure and since he had taken what the Boss had wanted .... there was no telling what the Boss will do with her now. She was tainted and useless to him or so he overheard. He hoped that wasn't enough to put her to death over. He continued to lay there in silence, willing his brain to shut off. There wasn't much else he could do at this point other than stay in his own head. Moving didn't feel like a possibility right now not without the wolf's help and he was sure there was still a little bit of time left before that potion wore off until he could fully reach the surface. The wolf could move he just could surface so that must mean it was only a waiting game now. Days? Hours? Minutes? There was a sound in the shadows that he could hear but he didn't stir. He didn't put up the effort to try and turn and see what or who it was. If anything he was more like a grumpy wolf that didn't want to be bothered. A deeply rooted growl that came from the bellows of what could be his soul rattled in the tiny space causing the ground to vibrate with the ferocity he had used. Whatever it was he made the warning clear, he wanted it gone. Lucia Yulvina | but you sleep with the bones of a rabbit |

It had been several days since Lucia had seen her mate. It wasn't all that strange for him to go on trips, scouting out or retrieving new girls to add to the flock. It was all normal until the rumors began to trickle down, whispers as the other guardians would gossip. He had been found in the woods with the missing girl? Tainted the bosses prized rabbit? They had to be mistaken...Felix wouldn't...swallowing back the indignation she would then consider where he might be. The cells where the naughty guardians were temporarily kept were underground. Not exactly a common stomping ground for the girls...she would have to be careful. Lucia waited until nightfall before stealthily making her way down stairs in the cavernous basement. It was dark, damn, and likely just crawling with spiders. But more importantly, she could smell Felix here. [break][break]
Thankfully being feline did have a few perks and even in the pitch she could see a little. Her silver eyes widening to allow any scraps of light inside. There were only a few cells...it wasn't as if the guardians often disobeyed. And there she could sense someone inside, hear just the softest rasp of a chain. Even in the dark cave walled with stones, he was to be kept behind bars and if the sounds were any indication. Chained. "Felix?" She whispered. But then a second scent came to her. It was surprisingly strong to have just been someone he was traveling with or if the rumors were true. Hiding. Had she been more? "It's true isn't it?" She asked slowly. Her voice sounding calm for the most part. She would be...until he verified that he had been shacking up with some girl after they had agreed to try to work on this..to try to make it work. [break][break] Lucia focused on getting one of her nails to shift, to change into a claw. Once it had she started to work at the lock. Sticking the narrowest part of her nail inside and twisting and turning until she felt the soft give of metal. It hurt but only a little to twist harder, she was certain she would have a broken nail after this Once the cell door had opened Lucia moved closer to him, blinking against the darkness to see the beaten down man lying on the hard floor. The chain was linked to a metal ring around his neck. But before she was going that far she needed to know if it was all true. Those rumors she had been writing off. [break][break] "You were keeping the bosses pet in a little cabin all for yourself then." She said coldly. Staring down at him with bright silver eyes. She had let him in. She had let him see that she wasn't as tough as she tried to be. And this...this was the situation she found him in. "...why?"

| | If only the shadows were a living thing, he would have allowed it to have consumed him that very second he heard his name echo softly off the walls. The vibrations in the cement didn't cease but merely quieted as he could hear her padding closer to his cell. He didn't make an effort to move instead just laid their limply. Eyes remained hidden behind closed lids even though he faced the wall. He was tired. Too tired to move, to think, to respond. His lips parted to speak but as weakly as they parted they quietly closed again. He wasn't even sure he had much of a voice. When used speaking to the wolf it cracked and sounded hoarse from the yelling, the growling, the fighting. he was just done. He could hear her breaking into the cell but still and move in closer as she spoke again. Her voice sounded calm despite what she may have heard but he knew it was only the calm before the storm. There wasn't a calm with Lucia. It was explosive and volatile much like their relationship -- or bond -- whatever it was. It was no wonder they were paired to one another because as compatible as they were it made them very incompatible. "You came to just ask me that?" his voice held absolutely no emotion. It was defeat. Monotoned. Absolutely lifeless. Usually what would follow was a simple sarcastic remark or a show of defiance but there was absolutely nothing. The wolf urged him to move, he could feel it in his bones as the fire behind the large black beast was there wanting to stand and fight, snap the chain and run for the open gate passed the feline... but Felix couldn't. "I'm here aren't I?" He could feel his lips lifting upwards a want to bare his fangs. The restlessness fought to get to the top against a frozen unbreakable surface. "I didn't keep her for myself. So no." He answered. "but I did keep her from the boss."When she asked it if it was all true that was when he dared to move. Limbs trembled as he pulled himself painfully up moving to his rump shifting to face her but his back now supporting him. Exhaustion was evident on his drawn out bloodied face. There was no excitement in him, it was anger. Perhaps it wasn't his perhaps it was the wolfs he wasn't honestly sure. Larkin was never his and was never meant to be his. What had happened between them was unthinkable, sure, but he didn't regret nailing her. If the boss did get her at least her first time wouldn't be regrettable. It wouldn't be something she feared. "what can I say, I was inspired to be rebellious." that was obviously a little catty in her direction stating well he had taken a page out of her book. He was clearly unlike himself. "I wanted to run.... you and I." he said as he leaned his head backwards. It burned to breathe and he couldn't breath through his nose from being so caked with blood. "Once Larkin went back home and forgotten, I wanted to take you with me and leave this miserable place behind." he chuckled in spite of himself. "Silly dreams don't come true. I'm here likely set to death, Larkin is obviously captured.... and you...." She was still as beautiful as a picture or at least of what he could see of her. Her bright silver eyes visible in the shadows reflecting off what dim light could creep through. "You were betrayed by someone who deserves everything he gets." he didn't want her pity and his tone stated that much. How emotionless it was. How so auto-sounding. "I don't deserve you. Never have. I don't know how to be a good person not even for you." he wanted to be but he knew well he couldn't. It wasn't who he was. He's his father's son. He's a murderer. "but if I die here. right now. you'll be free of that bond and you can move on and not be tied to someone who can't even control his own fucking wolf." He felt pathetic but he was so tired of fighting. Tired of fighting to keep control, to keep his wolf from hurting people he cared for.... tired of being having his life ruled over. and most of all he was tired of pretending of being someone he wasn't. She was quiet as he began to speak. Almost mocking her questions. Her silver eyes narrowed on his darkened figure and her lips turned down when he verified that it was true. "Why her?" Her words curtailing his answer. "Why would you save that girl but not me?" He had brought her in and turned her over to the wolves. So why would he risk it all for some girl he was sent to retrieve? He kept speaking and his words did nothing but to fuel her anger, He was going on and on about how horrible he was, about some ridiculous fantasy he had dreamed up for them but ruined by saving some stupid girl that wasn't even his mate. [break][break] She turned her eyes away from him even when he rolled over so that she could see his face. Her brow wrinkling and eyes narrowing as her hurt turned into anger. And that anger wanted to hurt someone. He was her mate. She loved him. And he had ruined it all for some little whore she didn't even know. "Just shut the hell up, Felix. No. You don't deserve me. But hearing you talk like this is just...shameful. You're my mate so act like you still have some balls." [break][break] She knelt down at his side and using the same claw she had forced last time she worked at the latch around his neck until she felt it give. She wanted him to hurt like she was, to feel this lump in his throat that made her want to vomit. It wasn't a physical pain but something far worse. "You didn't save that girl anyway, the boss took her and the rumors were that she didn't come out alive." She stood back then and allowed her nail to shift back. Silver eyes glaring down at the man she had dared love. Foolish. So foolish. "I hope your little whore was worth it, Felix." She growled.

| | As he sat there looking at her, her emotions that started to scribble over her face, he felt nothing. He was lost in too deep for anything other than anger to really get to him. His own anger. The anger had bubbled down into this bottomed out depression and he wasn't sure how to get back out of it. Now as she lashed out and demanded why Larkin and not her, his gaze still was cold and lifeless. Much like the distant gaze of a corpse. He knew why. It wasn't because of some confession of undying love for Larkin. Other than feeling like he should protect Larkin from the realities of this harsh world because of how fragile she was... He honestly just felt sorry for her. His heart had changed in that brief meeting with the little rabbit. "Who I was then is not who I am now. You figure it out." His voice was still very flat lined but a little anger was steadily creeping in, the wolf’s snarl intertwining with her words. But had she been listening to what he had said earlier he had been planning to yank her out of this life. To save her. She however chose not to hear it. Much like he had predicted the storm had arrived and she assaulted him with words. Pelted him with words from her anger and hurt, no less her words were not going anywhere with him. It simply dripped off of him like water on skin. Steadily he just started to lay back down again allowing his frame to fall limp with a soft thud as it made contact with the cold hard cement. A quiet sigh escaped his lips as he pushed all the air he could from his lungs. ”Just go.” he said. The wolf was snarling and berating him just as hard as Lucia was. He shoved and pushed but Felix had just given up. He’d fallen too far down a dark black hole. The wolf though refused to give up like his human had but he was powerless, held down by a potion that caused his escape to be frozen. Blue eyes watched as Lucia’s feet drug her towards him and though he braced for impact hoping her anger would have been enough that she would just do him one sad last favor… he felt nothing. Instead what came was tugging at the metal collar around his neck that even caused the wolf to still. There was a click and then hold on his neck loosened. Eyes stayed on Lucia’s feet as she started to speak again and that was when a roaring wave started to come to him. Utter rage. WhoreIt was in that very instant that the collar fell from his neck it was like something snapped. The wolf used this moment to shove his body into action as Felix felt the rush of rage sweep through him. He was up on his feet and went at Lucia with such force he nearly missed her. He slammed his body into hers with her stomach into the bars as a hand laid on the back of her head pressing as hard as he could. Fingers gripped hair, he pulled and aimed to slam her face into the cold bards again to try and disorient her to keep her from successfully ripping at his eyes with her free hands. ”Before you start pointing fingers, Little Lucia, make sure your hands are clean.” He let her go hoping that with the knock against the bars would cause the kitty to not be able to stay on her feet. His vision was blurry and yet he could see clearly all at the same time. Body trembled with excited ferocity as he let the anger pump through his veins. ”I’ll never be good enough for you. Will I? I will never be perfect enough.” he bent down to grip her chin roughly in his fingers as gold kept flashing in his blue eyes, on and off like a beacon but it wasn’t his wolf controlling him. Not this time. This was all him. This was the anger that he had been holding back for so long. Anger he had let build up for years not just towards Lucia but towards his father, towards his brother, Eriu…. His wolf. Everyone. ”You should have left me here. You should have done what I asked you to do.” a sneering smile made its way on his lips as fangs revealed themselves. ”You could have ended it but instead you had to open your fucking mouth.” his voice seemed to take on the impression of two different voices as the wolf tried to keep intervening only the potion wouldn’t let him come full to the surface. Not yet. He was still stuck behind a half cracked frozen wall. ” A whore calling another woman a whore is like the kettle calling the cauldron black.” He wanted her blood. ”She’s not a whore. She’s not used up like you are.”He wanted to hurt her. No….. He wanted to kill her. He pressed on her tender flesh again and slammed her head backwards once more. And again. And again until blood was covering his hands. He probably wouldn’t have stopped himself had there not been noise at the other end of exit. The commotion had alerted the guardians and they were now coming his way. Letting her go as she slumped over onto the ground. He darted away from the cell blending in with the shadows as the rushed in. He went the opposite direction, slipping passed as they went to check out the open cell and the fallen Lucia. She didn't see it coming. Didn't expect the savagery that would slam her against the bars with enough force to bloody her lip and make her ears ring. But his words...his words kept coming. His eyes slipping back and forth between blue and gold. Who was in control? She tried to struggle but the initial blow had disoriented her. And then his fingers were knotting in her silver hair, her face meeting the bars again and again until it didn't hurt anymore. But she heard it. Even amidst the blows and rush of her own blood in her ears she could hear him throwing an insult at her. One that he knew would cut deep. Her eyes widened and a pained sound somewhere between a cough and a gasp was choked from her throat. She was swallowing so much of her own blood that she couldn't even manage a word. [break][break] She whimpered when the blows started again, but this time it was the back of her skull and after only a couple blows she fell unconscious. Her form going completely limp and falling to the floor like a rag doll when he released her. The last thought that she had before being swallowed up by the utter darkness wasn't even a cold one. But her swollen bloodied lips trying to curve into a smirk. He had told her he would hurt her. She just never expected it would be this severe. It was pretty ironic that the one person she let in. The one person her feline bonded to, would be the one to steal her life. [break][break] The guards that found her would barely recognise the woman. But it was easy to see what had happened. She had released the unstable hybrid and had paid the ultimate price. They didn't notice the very slight breaths that pushed past her lips. No one could survive a beating like that, not the skull. At least they assumed. Two of the guards would unceremoniously dump her in a ditch on the outskirts of the city before joining the others to try to find the dangerous escapee. [break][break] Lucia was alive, if barely. The vicious blows to her head rendering her unable to wake up yet lingering between life and death. The rain began to fall as if to wash her clean, her swollen face upturned to the sky.

that walked away you've got a lot to say, for the one Today was the day! he was going to do it. He wasn't going to let his anxiety get the best of him this time -- even if he had been trying to do this for weeks. Blue eyes stared at the distance with confiviction as he stepped lightly but nervously. Despite trying to boost his confidence he actually was sweating. His palms felt sweaty probably far sweatier than his brow and he was pretty sure his stomach twisted so far in to knots he may lose whatever food he may have left in it. Night was steadily sneaking acrossed the sky with the promise of an oncoming rain but this didn't detour his quest. He was going to take that lovely feline by the hand -- like some of the other romantic geastures he had seen done to human ladies -- and ask her to go to the ball with him.
Lucia had been on the lady he had a hard time keeping his mind off of. It wasn't necessarily because of anything they had done, far from it, or even the attention she had once given him. It was because to him she was the picture of perfection. Something about her exotic looks, those soft comely purrs, and even the warm feeling she gave him when she looked at him. It was hard to ignore. He wasn't necessarily trying to court her but he more or less wanted to keep her attention. She seemed to be worth that much of it and if he was lucky maybe he could--
His brows furrowed when he heard men talking amongst themselves and it made him pause watching as they carelessly dropped something into a ditch and started away. He waited till they were gone before he started to carefully move in the direction of the ditch. The closer he got the stronger the scent of blood started to fill his nostrils but amongst that blood was a familiar sweet smell. Edging in closer he leaned on his toes and peered down to see Lucia's limp frame so carelessly sprawled in the ditch. "Oh no." he whispered and carefully slid down to check her over and listen for a pulse. He could feel it and hear very faint breathing so that was good. Her silvery hair was covered in dirt and blood and so from what he could tell it was a head wound. It wouldn't be an easy thing to take care of but if the girl stayed unconscious long enough he could start to get it mending with the old ancient medicine he had learned from a long lineage of dragons. It was sacred in his family and only so much of what was left of it but Lucia needed his help. With some luck, he could save his poor feline. "What did they do to you." he whispered softly as he carefully picked her up but aimed to not jar her head any more than it already was.
Getting her out of the ditch he laid he on a flatter surface. It would be way quicker if he got her to safety in his dragon form. He was miles from home as the temporary place he stayed shaked up at for now had no essence of his dragon life. He couldn't walk as a human it would take too long and she may die on him. So he carefully undress and put them atop her body and then shifted. Once that was down he lifted with a large sweep of his deep violet wings and hovered over Lucia. Picking her and the clothing up carefully in his claws he gave another hefty flap of his wings and went soaring high in the sky out of sight moving in lightning speed.
-- skip--
It had been three or four days since he had brought the feline back home. With rest and a lot of upkeep her skull was steadily starting to mend and the wound was nearly closed. She was lucky. A healer could have easily helped her but he wasn't a healer and he didn't know one. What he did have was strong enough to help in this case though of course there was still the slim chance she wouldn't have made it. She did though. He was grateful for that. But know he was sure questions were going to start coming as the fog was steadily starting to lift and she becoming a bit more curious about her surroundings.

It took a long time for the darkness to begin to fade. For her thoughts to once again be her own. She truly thought she had died, that this was the end and some sort of eternal blackness that served as hell. But then she began to awaken. Her silver eyes cracking open and plump lips parting to let a soft growl slip forth. She couldn't...remember. The last thing she could recall was being at work after Felix had dragged her back. But her head was throbbing and as she blinked her eyes didn't immediately clear. Where...was she? This wasn't her room, these weren't her clothes, it didn't smell the same and although she could hardly see she knew it didn't look the same either. It was all too bright and open. With a growl, she rolled onto her side but froze there when her stomach made a guttural snarl of its own. She was starving and she could smell someone close. Familiar but not overly so. Someone she had seen a few times maybe but not someone she could immediately place by scent alone. "Where am I?" She growled, one hand moving to her head where she could feel a bandage. Thin fingers searched over the wrapping and her fear began to build. "What happened to me?"☆ OOC NOTES@tagged MADE BY ★MEULK

that walked away you've got a lot to say, for the one He heard her moving and peered over at her. The sounds she made caused him to watch her curiously. "Slow." he said but didn't make an effort to get any closer. He wasn't going to encrouch on her as she needed to learn to do such things on her own. He couldn't hold her hand through this process. Her bearings would be gathered in due time. His arms crossed over his chest as blue eyes stayed on the feline listening to her grunts and growls and once she seemed steady enough he approached a little closer.
His heart was beating in his chest. He couldn't believe she was actually here, he couldn't believe that Lucia was in his home. Hardly anyone made it this far at least most didn't see the grand design of his immaculate home. What they mostly saw was dark harrowing passages underneath where he 'studied' them. Lucia though was different. He didn't want to only just studied her as much as he wanted her companionship. He wanted a friend. Aside from that, the woman was literally on deaths doorstep what was he going to do? Leave her?
She asked what had happened and he could tell by the look on her face she looked nervous. "They knocked your brains." The human tongue felt weird on his mouth. Words didn't flow as effortlessly as his mother tongue. He found that the human tongue used far too many words to make up a sentence. He didn't often interact with anyone so he had no honest practice. "I healed your brain." was brain even the right word? he pointed to his own skull to try and show her what he meant. His accent made it a little tough to be sure he was using the correct wording and it made his cheeks and jowls hurt. Though with time he knew it would be okay. "You don't remember?" Of course not. Otherwise, she wouldn't have asked what had happened to her. So does that mean she will leave him if he got her completely healed? The thought honestly saddened him. He didn't want her to leave and yet he also knew if she was found by those men who possibly hurt her they would likely do it again. "You stay here." he nodded his head not realizing it sounded more of a demand than a question. "Safe."

Lucia felt horrible but her vision was quickly clearing. Blinking she looked over at the man who spoke. Yes...he was familiar she just wasn't sure where from. "My brain?" She repeated and felt of the bandage with shaking fingers. "Why?...who..." Sitting up was painful and just the movement nearly made her vomit. But staring at her apparent savior who 'healed her brain' she felt a little more grounded. She still couldn't place him but she knew that she knew of him, somehow. Safe he said, she could stay there. "Felix will find me..." She grumbled, knowing the damn hybrid would track her to the end of Oedir. But..was he the one who had hurt her? Or another guard? She didn't know. "I'm starving..." Lucia stated when her stomach rumbled hungrily. One hand falling to press against her stomach that felt completely empty. "How long was I out? And...I guess I owe you a thanks for...healing my brain."The way he said it was so odd, an accent she had never heard before that was broken and halting. She could understand him but it was easy to tell that he wasn't very accustomed to this tongue. "Are you not from Mir?" She rubbed at the bandage on her head. "We are still..near Cendra, right?"☆ OOC NOTES@tagged MADE BY ★MEULK

that walked away you've got a lot to say, for the one It seemed she was trying to process what he was saying. A frown formed as he pressed his lips together. Had he used the wrong word? He lifted his chin a bit as she felt the bandages on her head and soon started to ask questions. He didn’t know and he quietly shook his head. ”Men.” he said with a shrug. ”Perhaps soldiers?” they seemed to be in alike attire but he wasn’t entirely sure who they were. All he knew was that they had dumped her. As she seemed to try and ground herself, he could see her working through this process. She didn’t seem to really recognize him which was a little worrisome. She at least should have recognized his name. Though they didn’t spend a whole lot of time together he had liked to think he was on the verge of being a friend – or something like that. He bought her time to talk though she had done most of the talking and he had listened.
She spoke a name and he shook his head. ”Impossible. kiarf kiri yoweth [much too high]. He will not reach.” He said. They were hidden away in a deep crested valley but perched high in one of the treacherous stone mountains. The only way in or out was to honestly fly and if this Felix had no wings, he would not be able to reach where he lived. He liked the spot because of the seclusion and of course because it meant his vic—er the people he studies could not escape. She soon said she was starving and giving her a small bow he turned on his heel and headed off towards a roasting fire in which he had cooked turkey he had gotten. He figured she would have been hungry and had done his best to keep food well and ready for when she was awoken. Despite living alone, his quarters were nice and didn’t nearly look as though they were in a cave. If anything it seemed more like a palace inside a cave – except maybe not as big as a palace but just as nice. ”Several days,” she said she owed him and he looked confused as he handed her a plate that had some turkey on it. ”What is owe…?” He asked. ”I am still learning your tongue.” He felt incredibly silly and nervous. He didn’t like the feelings she was provoking him to feel. If anything he wasn’t sure why he would care if she judged him.
The questions she asked weren’t ones he knew how to answer. So he took the easier one of the two. ”No not the lands of mir.” He was trying to figure out how to word it but it was obvious from his expression that it wasn’t easy. English was hard when you didn’t use it. ”The Mountains. Lands of Naihan.” Then as he went back to her first saying he paused for a moment once more trying to put the phrases together in his head before daring to part his lips and speak. ”Who is Felix? Why find you? Why no help for you?” Who was this Felix? And if he was so worried about her and needed to find her then why didn’t he help her when she needed it most? Why did he let those men hurt her? He had a lot of questions but perhaps not all the words to ask them in.

Lucia's scowl only deepened when he said soldiers. Why would soldiers kill her? Did he mean maybe guards? It was all a mess in her mind and she didn't like being clueless at all. At the mention of Felix he said that it wasn't possible, he couldn't reach. Along with words not of her tongue. At first she was certain she just wasn't understanding him but the words he spoke sounded...different than her own. "That language....what is it?" But if Felix couldn't reach her, was she free? If no one could find her to force her back then wasn't she? It was a startling thought. Freedom.
Lucia looked over at him, her brain obviously muddled but she was trying to work through it. "Whats your name?" He ask what owe was and Lucia frowned and rubbed one of her arms that bore scars from a whipping she didn't even recall. "Owe, it means like....you did something for me now I need to do something for you to make us even." Lucia wasn't eloquent with words and her education having been as minimal as it was certainly hadn't helped her vocabulary.
She took the plate he offered her and in what was likely a very unladylike move he dove straight into the food. Tearing off hunks of the meat and chewing it the minimal amount before swallowing it down. She paused however when he said they were in the Lands of Naihan. "The mountains?" She repeated dubiously. She had never been in the mountains, ever. He had brought her here then? And healed her? The questions about Felix made her look down at the nearly empty plate while still chewing a small bite. "I...You know I was a worker right? That I worked in Cendra, I was for sale. Felix would have looked for me to keep from getting in trouble himself...unless he hurt me I guess." It hurt to try to think, to make sense of it all. She blinked and rubbed her eyes before looking around the room again with clearer eyes. "This place is beautiful." She said softly, still shell-shocked by everything.
"But why? Why would you save me and bring me here?" She could barely even remember his face, they couldn't have been good friends. But Killian, she hoped he was alright...It was frustrating to be so clueless. Swallowing another bite of turkey Lucia slowly tried to stand. Sliding off the edge of the bed and clinging to it with weak hands. Her limbs felt weak and unfamiliar to her.

She caught on to his language. When he spoke English it embarrassingly tended to slip through and come out. It was so easy to easy compared to the foreign human tongue. He remained stoic though not once allowing his embarrassment to seep through but instead looked focused and ready. ”Draconic.” he said. ”I am a Dragon.” He tipped his head a little bit before looking towards the large picture window that looked over the edge of the mountain his dwellings set upon. It was a gorgeous painting view. It was calming and serene in a very dangerous sort of manner.
As she spoke once more this question a little easier his brows furrowed. ”You don’t remember me. Do you.” it wasn’t so much of a question rather than a statement and quietly he sighed. Blue eyes hid for a moment before he started towards her and sat down next to her though keeping equal and precise distance between them. Being a creature of the cold he didn’t necessarily like ‘warmth’. The cold made him a little less perceptive of another's touch as it kind of hurt. ”I am Maddox.” He answered. ”I used to visit in your worker days.. in Cendra… yes. I bought you.” he wasn’t accustomed to lying but he couldn’t afford her trying to run away in fear because he technically just took her and of course planned on keeping her for a while. ”I got you cheap because of death.” Or was it dying? He wasn’t sure. ” and they wanted last money to squeeze out of you. Despite your need for assistance. So… I bought you and brought you here.Helped your brain.” He gave her a small smile at the end. He was proud of himself for being able to accomplish such a thing.
She seemed shocked about it being in the mountains but she would get used to it. The sights were breathtaking and at least until she was fully healed he could debate on what he was really going to do with her. Next, her question had him tipping his head. ”You need help.” before stating one more thing. ”And you are very lovely. I didn’t…. I didn’t want you to go.” in other words he didn’t want her to die. At least not right now as he had the chance to fix her himself. ”Should I have not helped? Did you want to go?”

Lucia immediately laughed when he said dragon. Suuuure he was a dragon. And she was a princess. But then she again looked over at the window at the view that didn't seem plausible. How...did they get here? He couldn't actually be...? Her mouth fell open but she was quick to shut it. "A dragon? That's...amazing actually. I've met many people but...a dragon...I don't think I ever have." When he moved toward her Lucia slowly sat back down on the bed. Her silver eyes studying his movement for any hint that he had ill intentions. But she didn't notice any indications that he was going to grab her. He actually kept his distance from her. For someone that thrived on touch, it was a little odd but she didn't comment. Some people were strange, it was a fact of life.
"Maddox." She repeated, trying out the name on her tongue. The ending carrying a soft hiss that she hadn't intended as she tried to sound it out. But it was the words that followed that made her chest ache and Lucia look away from him while toying with the blanket beneath her. Sold cheap because she was dying? Damn. She knew...she knew the industry she was a part of was fucked up. But to be sold like a broken down horse was painful. And what of Killian? Did he think she was dead? He must be worried. Maybe even hard headed Felix...she always felt there was more to him than he let on. But along with the thoughts of Felix was a strange feeling, a tinge of muddled fear she couldn't make out. How odd, maybe he had been there when she was attacked?
"Thank you..." She said again, her throat closing around the words. Being treated like an object was nothing new but this was an all new low that made her feel ill. He sounded worried when he said the last statement and Lucia turned to the man, no-dragon with a hesitant smile. "No, thank you for what you did Maddox. I'm just....its a lot to take in. And not being able to remember is frustrating to me." She worried her lip between her teeth, fingers reaching up to touch the bandage. Beautiful he had said, what about now with whatever had been done to her? "I probably don't even look the same do I? If I was so badly torn up...." But if it was just one spot then maybe her hair could cover it.
"Well..." Lucia said, trying to get in a better mood despite everything weighing on her. She would scoot closer to him and link her arm around his own for support. "Show me your home then? If you own me then I guess I live here too."

Her burst of laughter hit a bit of a nerve. His jaws tightened for a moment as he stared at her with a sort of serpent’s gaze in his eyes. She had not believed him and he should have expected as much but her laughter sounded mocking. He wasn’t sure what it was but it was right in that moment he had felt his hand curls into a fist and tightens around the fabric of the bed. Either noticing the gaze or her own realization she seemed to come to her senses and then spoke once more. ”You have you just don’t remember it.” his words were spoken with a sort of freezing tune one very much like his power he possessed as the large beast.
She spoke his name as if trying it out before continuing on to thank him. Truthfully he didn’t see why she would since she was ‘bought’. Moving from one hand to the next he figured he would have seen a bit of a feisty side of her. However this new side was different and almost accepting and welcoming even if she hadn’t been technically bought. She was more or less a captive for now until he figured out what to do with her. Surely he couldn’t keep her in the basement with the rest of them. He was almost sure however if she did find out about those people down there that she would ultimately try and release them not that it would do any good unless they wanted to fall to their death on very sharp rocks that awaited at the bottom of his perch as he liked to call it. She started to show a little bit of frustration as she was trying to wrap her head around the idea. ”I understand. You have questions. I will give truths as best as possible.” His words felt muddled and he was sure there were some he mixed up or shouldn’t have used but he was trying. Listening to her speak was also helping him along the way. ”The tongue of humans is hard. Many sorrys for my words.” He frowned a bit.
It seemed like he would slip in and out of speaking rather good for some sentences and then right back out for others. Of course his mind didn’t work as fast as person who spoke it like a mother tongue. As she spoke once more the hardened frosting of his gaze immediately softened as he shook his head down. ”Still very beautiful.” he answered. ”Skull broken or not, I still like to look at you.” That probably sounded a lot creepier than he intended but he wasn’t sure how else to tell her he thought she was extremely gorgeous. There was something about the feline that broke into his anti-social exterior and make him want to try and garner her attention. He wasn’t a very out of the box type of dragon but for Lucia he wanted to try.
The space he had given though was immediately shortened by her as she scooted closer and linked her arm with his. He froze, tightening almost immediately as if bristling about the touch. ”Home. Yes.” he stammered all human words becoming lost on him but he knew well she needed the help. The wound on her head would likely cause her to become dizzy fairly easy. It was still healing and so he would take the time to help her… or try to. He lifted to his feet and helped her to her own. ”Not show much, not much here.” most of it was entirely just opened spaced, like a studio apartment but being such a large beast he needed it to be. However the floor plan was simple even if the place was quite large. A single but eloquent stair case led up stairs to a couple more rooms and another living space such as a kitchen, restroom, and a social room. He liked the homey but airy feeling. ”Very open, I don’t like feeling trapped.” And for being an big animal as he was he needed that for his own sanity. Behind that very stair case that led up stairs there was one that led down further into the mountain his house was so cleverly carved into. However it was securely locked and one place he would not be showing her. That was where the other captives were in an experimented basement.
