To give up who you are, I'll live without your face, your smile, regret it more than dying, and dying so young She was sent here on a mission.
It was a very important task, one which her duty called her to be more serious than normal. Someone had been taking women. No, it was more of a suspected suspicion that followed after a notice had been taken about the disappearances of many women. Of course, quite a number of fae had been mysteriously disappearing. Some have been claimed that there had been kidnappings, and although there had been reports to the guards, the tracks were well hidden. At first, it wasn't even a concern. It still wasn't. Not very many women have been taken, and so far no one important had either. And their attempts at trying to lure the supposed culprit with women had failed. It seemed that they were taken at random, or that there was a specific circumstance, but no one could connect a pattern. Though, more women had been disappearing. It wasn't something that could be entirely ignored, but with the many tasks that the swordsmen still had to attend to, they had sent out a scout. And that happened to be Eriu. She was sent alone, as she has been on several missions before. She wasn't the stealthiest of the fae, but she was by far the most willing. It wasn't something they were not entirely concerned with anyway, it was probably connected to the underground work of the dwarves and could easily be taken care of, they assumed. But they needed proof first. This had nothing to do with the other kingdoms, but she had heard that they had some similar problems as well, from her stay upon the way here. According to what she was told, the women were taken this way, from what they gathered. It wasn't enough evidence, but it was the best shot they had. This is why they had sent her to investigate. Do not fight unless necessary, they ordered. But, could this fae really leave the women to be, if she found them?
She kept low, walking lightly among the dark brush, the trees shading her from the rest of the dusk's sun. It almost was nearing sunset. Her dark eyes peered from beneath the hood of her dark brownish-green cloak. So far nothing but a dirt clearing that had stood in front of her. She kept walking. Two serrated swords were at her sides, just in case. This had been one of her more dire tasks, it was unlike monsters that plagued towns. She had heard that there was more than one kidnapper. It was like a whole organization. Why hasn't anyone heard about this? Why didn't the other kingdoms try to do something about this? Was it because there was not enough proof? If they weren't going to do anything she would decide that she would at least try to figure out as much as she could, but she was determined to get those women out of there.
Her booted footsteps crunched through the brush, only making a light noise as she continued silently. She would have to be prepared to fight. Her mind was wary, and intent on it. She felt a slight unease about this whole situation. It felt bad. If this was larger than they imagined, how well hidden they kept their tracks from the guards, they must be dangerous.
From time to time she kept her head peering toward the other side of the clearing. So far, nothing yet. She didn't know exactly what she was heading for, but she heard from a human that they should be this way. No one dared venture into these parts, and no sound was made other than the sound of leaves brushing against each other in the wind. Maybe a hideout. Someone taking a woman. Something. Anyone that ventured here hasn't returned, she heard. She took extra caution in her step. For a while she continued, but that was as she was passing by the thick trees quickly, she then spotted someone. Ducking below a large plant and a rock, she looked over the edge, trying to make out if it was one of them. It had to be. Those kidnappers were supposedly here, she was told. And from the looks of it, it was a man.
Inching closer, tip toeing as she crab walked toward behind another tree, quickly peering around before keeping her head hidden again. Eriu began to take a few breaths, trying to remain calm before taking another look around the trunk. It just looked like an ordinary guy. But, at closer inspection, she probably looked at him for longer than she was supposed to. Blonde hair. He looked... familiar. Wait a minute. It couldn't be.
"Felix..." she said, her tone almost as faint as a whisper, her eyes widened. She was standing now, right next behind the tree she was hiding behind only seconds before. Her gaze continued upon him, a wild mixture of emotions running through her core. Was it pain? Fear? Guilt? Happiness? Confusion? Bewilderment? She couldn't believe her eyes. She couldn't believe this was happening. She took a few steps from where she stood.
She pulled the cloak from her shoulders, letting her armor shine in the sun's last rays as the cloth flew to the ground. She then stopped, continuing to gaze at him in disbelief. "You're with them?" she asked, her voice dry. She could feel her eyes beginning to swell. No. Not yet. Her head was slightly tilted to the side. It couldn't be him. It really couldn't.
"I knew you had done some bad things, but I never thought that you would do something like this!" she exclaimed, her voice nearly rising to a scream, a call that might have scared some birds if they were present. Her eyes were still widened, a mixture of sadness and anger filling them. If she knew him, the real Felix, he wouldn't do anything like this. Or maybe that's what she wanted to believe. |

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Gripping the other male’s shirt in his fists he slammed him hard against the wall. Eyes glared a daring yellow covering the usual placid blue. The man gasped loudly as his back made a thud. ”Ever wonder what it’s like to eat your own innards?” he spoke to the man attempting to gasp for air. His feet hung limply nearly off the ground as intense yellow eyes stared at the man’s face. ”I can arrange for it to be done.” his tone was deep, daring, malicious as growls hung on every syllable. As the man attempted to shake his head no and get Felix to let go, he tightened his grip. ”Ohhh.. whats that? Not so tough without your buddies?”[break][break] ”Let go, Hy— he started to say right as Felix’s knuckles of the hand grasping the front of his shirt pressed into his throat. ”What’s my name.” He warned. The man gurgled a little against the pressure on his throat. ”Felix! FELIX!” A small sadistic smile crossed the blond man’s features. ”You can be taught after all! Despite being a slow learner.” And with that he dropped him and stepped back. The man was on his knees rubbing his neck and glaring up at the hybrid man. ”Now because of your fuck up, I have to fix it. Dumb ass.” Pulling back his foot he slammed it into the other man before walking off, cursing beneath his breath. He didn’t want to be doing this. He didn’t want to be working a shift that another man had problems covering. How was that even right? A girl that wasn’t even his and he had to go chase her down. But the boss obviously relied on him more than the others and they despised him for it. They hated that a hybrid was seemingly favored over them. In his mind if perhaps they could do their job justice they wouldn’t feel so devalued. Not that he wanted to be in this position. He didn’t want attention. He had demons of his own and to have something more added on his plate was nothing he needed. [break][break]
It took him some time before he ended up picking up the trail and as he lay in wait a sound caught his attention off to the side of him. First it was quiet footsteps and then it was his name. Blue eyes shifted towards the woman who now stood stark still staring at him. His ears rung when he realized the face he was staring at. Blood drained from his features and breath got caught in his tightening throat. ”E--..” he tried to speak. He wanted to say something. He wanted to say anything instead of stand there in silence as she now through her words at him. What was he supposed to say? What was he supposed to say. As she soon went into saying she didn’t think he could ever be capable of doing something like this it was like the trance was snapped. ”What the fuck do you know.” He advanced from his spot. ”You don’t know me.” He replied harshly. ”You don’t know anything about me.” [break][break]
That was a lie. She knew him very well – or at least she did at one time. She knew the type of man he had been to her. The soft and sweet loving partner that nearly ripped hers and their infant daughters life away because of a control issue. ”Why are you here.” He demanded.

To give up who you are, I'll live without your face, your smile, regret it more than dying, and dying so young She was taken back by those words, her mouth opening slightly in surprise. She still couldn't believe it, this as Felix, standing before her eyes. It was taking a while for her mind to still process the fact. When was the last time she had even saw him... It was that time. She could still remember the visage of the wolf. The black fur. Blood. Terror. All of it. She had ran. Took Renata away, hearing from him no longer. She had no idea what he did once she had left. She had no idea how he felt. Regret plagued her thoughts, wondering how to interact with him if she ever saw the day they would meet again... and now here they were.
Oh right. She was on a mission. Yet still, the thoughts of him in her mind were mixed and confused, almost forgetting the very reason why she was here. But, if this really was the Felix she once knew... perhaps she could try to talk some sense into him. She knew that he wouldn't be the kind to do this. He was mean... he had a bad side to him... the wolf... but, she knew that deep down, he had kindness within him. He can be one to be reasoned with, she assumed. Especially since he knew her. Well, it didn't end on good terms. But, it was for his sake, too.
She looked down solemnly, pulling the serrated sword from its sheath. The sharp blade glimmered in the remaining sunlight, and she held it low, but defensively. Here eyes traveled back up again rather slowly.
"I am here to end this," she said in a low voice. "Someone has been kidnapping women in the kingdoms. Please Felix, I know you have some sense in you. We need to stop this..." her voice pleaded at the very last word. She knew that he wasn't a warrior, but he could help fight. Fight for what was right. Eriu hoped that she could get through to him. She didn't know him. Know what he did after all these years. But... she still had hope. She believed in him. |

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Delicious His wolf echoed in his mind. He could see him standing there in the shadows standing with alarmingly yellow eyes as he stood staring at Eriu. She needed to get out of here unless she wanted a repeat of what had happened their very last night together. Eyes fell to her sword as she pulled it out but seemed to merely be holding it. Since when was she a scout of the night of pure love and justice? His jaws tightened once more and eyes closed concealing the clear change in them. Move closer. His lips curled for a moment at the thought. He could still hear her screams, begging, pleading with him to come back to light. To stop what he was doing. [break][break] As much as he wanted to remain hateful… he couldn’t. Her pleading words sent a chill to his blood much like the one she sent the night his wolf broke loose. ”You shouldn’t be here. You need to leave.” he said. ’This is bigger than you or I.” A lot bigger and if it was she was coming to end then she had a much bigger fight on her hands. A fight of an invisible enemy she wouldn’t know how to defeat. ”You can’t end what you can’t see.” those words were a little mocking before he started to step closer. The smell made the wolf arch in pleasure, his lips peeling backward in anticipation to sink into the fairy’s succulent skin. He wasn’t ready to see her. Years later and she still had some hold on him. Still made him fearful of what he is. ”Eriu, you need to go back home.” He wasn’t in control here and he never would be. He was demanded to do things and this was the last person he wanted to carry out an order on because she knew too much. His boss wouldn’t turn a blind eye to a happy go-lucky fairy. He would squash her just like a bug. ”Please…. My hands are tied. Don’t make me do something more I’m going to regret for the rest of my life.” And he had quite the long life ahead of him. ”I already regret enough in terms of you.” [attr="class","iconieno"] [attr="class","tagsieno"]@tagged [newclass=.biggieno]margin-left:-300px;[/newclass] [newclass=.textieno]margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:300px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#fff;border:solid 1px #b7b7b7;color:#939393;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:610px;font:11px calibri;[/newclass] [newclass=.textieno::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.textieno::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#b7b7b7;border:2px solid #fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconieno]margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;[/newclass] [newclass=.tagsieno]font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;[/newclass]

To give up who you are, I'll live without your face, your smile, regret it more than dying, and dying so young She shook her head. No, she couldn't. She couldn't just go back home. Not when there was someone taking women from their homes. She couldn't fail her duty as a swordsman either, coming back empty handed. She had to bring back something. Some sort of information. She had already gotten this close. What was she going to tell them, that she found someone and it happens to be her ex? What if they thought he was one of the bad guys and they hurt him? Even if she said it was another man, they would just find him anyway. She couldn't turn back. The swordsmen would come here once after she arrived back. Nothing would change. Eriu couldn't go home. Not when she had just found Felix...
"But... you're safe now," she said confusedly. "I've found you. You're now under the protection of the fae swordsmen. Please Felix. If I don't find out what's going on they're going to come," she tried reasoning with him. Her sword arm was shaky. If he turned against her anyway, could she fight him? After all this time...? No, she shook away the thoughts. He was fine now, he had to be. After all the years she left him, he must have learned how to behave, right? Or... was it because she left... he chose to do this?
She couldn't head down the path of regret right now. There were more important matters at hand. They could talk about their life decisions later. Cautiously, she took a step toward him. Peacefully. They had to do this peacefully. Otherwise it's all over. "Help me find out something," she begged. "Anything, that could help. I need to gather information. Take me if you must Felix. I need to know something that we can use against them. Then we can fight against them together. I'm sure that there is a way..." her thoughts drifted. Would that work? If he was able to take her to the boss, would she be able to escape afterwards? She hadn't quite thought out the plan, but she was sure that Felix must know his way around if he... worked for them. But, she was pretty confident that she could defend herself. But could she? He said that she couldn't end what she couldn't see. She knew that it was something unseen, some part of a larger scheme that even the guards could not figure out. This is why she needed to get to the bottom of this. Even if she was unsuccessful, at least she had to try.
Would the boss, would it be someone to reason with? Eriu wondered. There could be a better way than the guards just barging in. Maybe there could be an agreement. But, they kidnapped women. Why? What was the purpose? Why was Felix here? So many questions that she wanted answers to. Maybe they held the key to solving the mystery. That's why she was here. That's why she needs answers.
"Help me Felix... so that I can save you..." she said somberly, staring at him directly in the eye. |

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Safe? His brows furrowed a bit but he stood quietly now waching her as she continued on stating that now he had been found by her that he was of course safe. He couldn’t help the bubbling laughter to break loose. ”You are kidding, right Eriu?” He shook his head. ”There is no such thing as safe in this world and there is nothing you can do about it. Don’t be so naïve.” and that was what she was that was what he had fallen for. She had been so precious, joyful, and full of life that he sort of vicariously lived through her. He lived through her spirit of just being. ”It’s time to wake up.” he spat. ”This isn’t a dream where you won’t die, Eriu, and if you keep playing with this fire you are going to!” his stance took on a little bit of a threatening one but he didn’t advance on her. Instead he was just trying to get through to her that her clouded happy judgment had no place for this. ”Let them. They won’t find anything either. This organization got as far as it did because of its ability to adapt and blend and its going to take a hell of a lot more than just fairies to take down a boss no one sees.” Except him. He has seen the boss and so has a few select others but to most he was just a ghost. There were tiers a lot of people had to go through and where his exact location was… wasn’t common knowledge and Felix wasn’t about to open his mouth.[break] He was a lot more scared of his boss than he was of his ex-wielding a sword. Not like he probably didn’t deserve it anyways.[break] She was pleading with him though telling him that she needed to find something, anything, even dared to ask him to take her to the boss. ”Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit.” that wasn’t how it worked. If he took a woman to the boss that he didn’t choose he would be in hot water. ”I can’t.” he said slowly. ”I can’t do anything get that through your thick head!” He wished she could see it, he wished she could see why. Once more she said she wanted to save him and that he had to help her do so. His blue eyes stayed on her for a moment longer, staring long and hard. She was so determined and so caught into this fantasy of saving these women that were about as savable as he was. There was no end to this. ”You can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.” he said simply. ”I am no longer going to talk about this so if you have anything else to say then say it. Otherwise….” He lifted his hand and pointed the other direction. ”I have things I need to be doing and you are wasting my time.”

To give up who you are, I'll live without your face, your smile, regret it more than dying, and dying so young She was taken aback by his words. Well, she didn't expect much kindness, but she thought he was able to understand. She was flustered somewhat by his statement about the swordsmen being just a bunch of fairies. Well they were... but they were much stronger than he thought. Most other races misunderstood. They hardly stayed out of most other matters sure, but it was for a reason. Most did not see how they operated under the Pontiff. She was a swordsman, but she was not the strongest of them... No, not at all... They were a strong force, to not be reckoned with. If they were going to come here once after she scouted they would all be taken to jail, except for the innocents of course. But, that was if they didn't kill them during the battle. She didn't want that to happen to him.
"But now this organization is being discovered!" she tried to argue, taking a step closer to him. "They may be hidden but not for long. And now I... I've discovered one of their lackeys..." she spoke with a saddened tone. She didn't want to tell them about Felix working for the bad guys but if he left then she would have no choice. She had to make sure that it didn't happen. If he was forced in all this as much as the women, she didn't want anything to happen to him. "And I know this location. It's not only the swordsmen. Other races are beginning to find out too," she told him, looking at him directly. She then looked at him in sadness and confusion. Why couldn't he?
He didn't want to be saved? Her eyes averted downward. Did he really want this? All of these women were being kidnapped, and he was apart of it... Were they really forcing him to? But... he said it himself, his hands were tied. Was he saying that because he didn't want her hurt? Or was it because... of what happened between them? She looked back up at him. Taking another few steps forward, she knew what else she had to say.
"I'm coming with you," she said, determination in her eyes. |

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Her next set of words made him burst into laughter actually causing him to wrap an arm around his stomach and bend a little towards his knees. He shook his head looking at the sweet face he once loved. He once felt he had to take care of and now stared at her with pity. Despite how he may feel about her he wouldn’t dare let a single soul talk bad about her. His protective nature still stood with her. It was hard to believe it was still there after so many years. Even after she ripped the only life he had a chance at away from him but… he had to ask himself. Was he any better than her? Wasn’t he about to do the very same thing she had done to him? ”Sweet heart, what you know is what they want you to know.” She knew nothing. She lived in a fantasy that he wished he could drag her out of. He feared for her. ”They leave trails for a reason.” to let people think they were getting somewhere but all of those trails were fake. Probably he only stable thing she did find was him.[break] His expression didn’t waver when she called him a lackey because it was true. He was one. He was one of the few that did the bosses bidding right from the hand of the big man himself. ”I was careless.” he stated. He wouldn’t let her have the satisfaction of finding him. He was better than that. He did his job better than simple little Eriu finding him. As she continued speaking stating she knew this location, he pondered what that had anything to do with it? They had several and this one held little to no meaning to any of them. This was only an area that held a face among many that were chosen. If he didn’t get her tonight, he would get her another way, in another place, at another time. This place was one of thousands that had zero percent on his effective tactic. ”I been at this game a long time, Eriu.” he challenged. ”You hold no power here. No ground.” The wolf surged forward and snarled almost like it was guarding him from his own feelings. He couldn’t let them get in the way. Not here. Not now. [break] And then just like the calm before the storm… it settled. His eyes stayed on her as his own determination was put into place. She wanted to come with him. Fine. He would run her in circles until finally ditching her. ”You sure?” he asked almost too keen on the idea. ”Being my shadow would be hard work.” a cocky smirk played on his lips as he tipped his head. ”Well then fairy girl, come on.” with that he turned on his heel and started walking.

She was a bit surprised at his answer, that he would let her come along. Her mouth popped open a little before shutting again. "Yes!" she said responsively, following behind him as she walked. Eriu looked around on all sides of her as she walked. They left her this trail for a reason? Was this some sort of trap, either way, it would lead her to something. Anything. Even if she couldn't make it out, she still had to try. Even with his claim that she had no power here. She was well aware of that. She was but a simple swordsman, with only two serrated swords and enhancement magic. Eriu slid the sword she held into her sheath. Luckily she didn't have to fight him here. She didn't want to. After what happened last time... no, this was all happening so fast. She still couldn't believe that Felix was here, the very one that she hadn't seen in over a hundred years was right before her.
The fae gazed at the back of his head as she walked, her dark eyes moving toward the ground of the half-dead leaves. What had he been doing all this time? Was he always doing this? Once she... left him, did he come here and being working? Or maybe there was much more to the story than behind the eye? How did he feel about all of this? Not the work, but about seeing her again. She thought that he would either be extremely angry, happy, or sad, but to her it seemed he was none of those. He seemed... normal. As if the one that left him because of his dangerous wolf side wasn't much of a deal. She did take away the child as well... but it was for their own sake. His as well. Maybe it went for the better, maybe he was finally able to control the wolf within him. If so, she would be glad. But... she hadn't seen her daughter either after she ran off. After a few minutes of silence and looking around, her attention turned toward him again.
"Wren... She left home, a long time ago," she started, although her voice held a sad tone to it. "Do you know where she could have gone? Have you seen her?" she asked, concerned for her daughter's whereabouts. She wanted to discuss what happened between them, but their daughter was more important to her at the moment. She couldn't just talk about her with anyone, and if anyone Wren might have looked for it may have been Felix. But, she hadn't seen her since she was a teenager. Maybe she had changed much ever since then. Eriu did not know.

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]His head tipped her direction when she spoke about their daughter… Wren. He hadn’t heard that name in a while let alone did he stop much and think about either of them unless it was forced upon him. The fact that eriu was even in front of him was strange all on its own. His wolf though was loving the smell of the fairy however and he wanted to dig in to the dinner that got away. No less he was keeping tabs on the beast that lurked deep in him. Doing his best to keep him pushed to the back no matter how hard he surged forwards from time to time… snarling and snapping like a wild beast. ”No.” he said simply. He wouldn’t even know what his daughter looked like or what type of person she was. If anything he hoped for the best and she was nothing like himself.[break] ”Why did she leave?” he asked looking over his shoulder now at her. He didn’t really expect it to be because of him let alone if Eriu even told her about him. Why would she tell their own daughter what a monster he was. He supposed if he was in her shoes he wouldn’t have. ”I don’t know much about her… remember you took her from me.” the words were bitter as he shoved his hands in his pockets. His walk was a lot slower allowing her to catch up with him. ”I don’t even know what she was like or how she grew up. How on earth would I know where she is? Perhaps you should have kept better tabs on her.” his nose wrinkled a little bit… a human form of a wolf growl.

Eriu was disappointed to hear a no, but it wasn't like she didn't expect it. Still, it was disheartening to hear that he didn't know where she was either. She hoped that she could run into her someday, or that she would come home. But after all those years it never happened. Though she found Felix, even though she couldn't believe it. Maybe she could find her little Wren after all. There was still hope. Though she continued on walking, head facing down at her feet. "I, I don't know," she said solemnly. Her eyes then moved up to see him again. "She was only sixteen at the time... I... I think she was in some sort of rebellious phase. I thought she would come back but... she didn't." She hoped that nothing bad happened to her, but she had found no sign of a dead body of the girl she knew anywhere, so she knew that she must be alive. Her door was open to her or Felix always since that time, ever since she went adventuring.
She winced a little at his words. She wasn't planning about talking about what happened, but now it was inevitable. Though she was going to say something about it later on anyway. She decided it may as well be better to now. Eriu walked beside him as he slowed his pace, gazing upon his face. She then lowered her gaze again. "I know..." she said, then averted her brown eyes back up to him. "I... I left because you almost killed us..." She didn't mean it in a bad way, it was more so because of the wolf side that was controlling him at the time. She didn't want to leave him, only felt that it was a necessary thing to do. "I did it for her sake... Yours as well... I thought that..." she sighed. "I thought that if I left you would be able to control that side of yourself," her eyes gazed over him. She could almost see the large black wolf, snarling as it were trying to get out of that form. But, she hoped that it was better now. As she had left him for that reason. "Felix... I'm sorry..." her eyes finally met his, her voice almost cracking at those last words.
Eriu then became silent, after those words. She could have told him how much their daughter changed since she took her away. How she grew into a beautiful young girl that she was proud of. That she had turned into her wolf at thirteen, and, unlike her father, had control over it. She also had wings which Eriu thought were beautiful, like the branches of trees during winter. Though, once she became a teenager, she had cut her hair and left. She could have also told him about how she waited for them to come back, how her doors were always open. But there was too much regret. She couldn't say those things after what she had done. She didn't know about how he felt after she left. It must have been miserable, but... it was so that he couldn't endanger himself or those around him.

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]He wasn’t sure what she thought she would find. What that his life couldn’t go on without her? The wolf would eat him alive? It was probably not that farfetched of an idea as the wolf had tried numerous times but at the same time he also wondered if she thought he had some type of control on himself. Did she expect her absence make him better. She continued talking and stated that Renata had gone when she was a rebellious sixteen year old. Okay so maybe the apple hadn’t fallen too far from the tree then. She must have gotten a hair up her ass and took off on a whim. He just sighed quietly. He didn’t know how he should feel about it primarily because he never got to be a ‘father’ per say. No less to know she’d done a typical him type of move it was a little worrisome. However what done was done.. She’d been gone for so long it wasn’t like he could do anything about it even if he had wanted to.[break] She spoke once more and the words she said cut him a little deeper and he swung to look at her nearly forcing her to step right into him. ”I know what I did. You don’t have to remind me.” A growl was in his voice. ”But someone you love doesn’t just leave you with no support. They don’t set someone up to fail.” His brows furrowed obviously anger still ever present since that day. ”I had no one. You told me you wouldn’t let him consume me. You told me you wouldn’t ever leave me alone but you did. You fucking did.” His voice quivered a little at the end of his sentence as emotion tightened his throat. ”I loved you, Eriu. I loved you harder than anyone ever could and when you left goddamn did that fucking hurt.” He stared at her long and hard, searching her face for some kind of relief… some kind of answer that would make all of this better. That somehow he could let go of this rage he had. That he could let go of the past and move on but there was nothing. There was absolutely nothing that stared right back at him. She was scared. She had every right to be but he had been too and he still is. After a few more moments he straightened his posture and turned away starting to walk from her again. ”But if there is anything I have learned from that mistake, it was learning that you can’t trust anyone but yourself. Not even the person you thought you loved.”[break] He wanted to ditch her and run off. He probably could have tricked her into doing something and just leave her to stand there until she figured out he wasn’t coming back. He could get off scott free that way but there was a scent that was lingering in the air that got his cluttered and over emotional mind off of the track at hand. The smell of some other workers were lingering in the area and they weren’t too far off from the woods he had stashed Larkin in. He had recently gotten in to trouble because of not having the girl the boss wanted and so he was being cased out. Them lingering in the area was worrisome to him. Without thinking twice his paced became quicker and he headed straight towards Larkin’s hide out cabin completely forgetting he was being tailed.

Larkin Silvaris words . tags ♚ Larkin had awoken with a start. The sound of voiced outside her tiny cabin. The scuffling of boots on the porch. And then came the loud thundering knocks of someone that planned to enter whether she allowed it or not. Wide eyed and afraid she slipped into her rabbit skin. Her body shrinking down to a tiny rabbit that weighed less than two pounds. Just as the door was flung wide and wormed her way inside one of the aging cabinets that sat against the floor. Hiding inside a large black pot and trying not to sneeze from the cob webs that tickled her whiskers.
”I smell that bastard here…that hybrids been here with a girl.” There was the sound of rummaging. Of the books she had been reading being strewn this way and that. A second voice sounded. This one a little higher pitched, nervous. ”M-maybe we should just go. Maybe this is just where he sleeps before bringing them on in to the boss? I don’t want him to find us-GHA!” A choked yelp and a thud broke his speech and Larking shivered nervously inside the cast iron pot. Her small nose twitching as she tried to calm her bunny heart. Trapped. She was trapped. These men must know Felix, but they didn’t sound like friends of his.
She closed her bright blue eyes and waited for them to leave. The old door of the cabinet she was in was thrown open and the pot she was inside knocked roughly against a wall. But the bunny inside wasn’t seen and with an annoyed grunt he slammed the door hard enough to ring her ears. ”Dammit, theres nothing here. Lets keep moving. I smell that rabbit here though. We must be getting close to where hes keeping her. Man the boss will be happy when we show up with her. Then the boss can see what a –“ The voices drifted away as the men exited the cabin. Not bothering to close the door or try to hide the fact that they had ransacked the place.
She waited. Five minutes, then ten, fifteen. Until she was certain she was alone. Leaping up out of the deep pot she stuck her tiny white nose just outside the cabinet door to heartedly sniff. Still afraid that one of them might be lingering.

Eriu followed Felix silently, head lowered. She didn't know what to say, what was there to be said? She thought that it might have left an impression on him but she did not think it would be this... this devastating. Eriu did leave him without a support, but she knew he was strong, that he could take care of himself. She thought that maybe he would leave and go into a different line of work but... perhaps she just made it worse. She loved him too, she didn't want to leave. But she had to. It was the only way they could be safe. But... she could tell him that her home was open to him this whole time, but how was he supposed to have known? He probably did not find out where she had gone. Back to Niwetri, near her old house. It wasn't that hard to find a fairy, as that was the most reasonable place to. But what happened between them... he probably didn't go out searching for her and Wren. Or maybe he did. But either way, she was the one that left in the first place. And she couldn't change that. It saddened her heart that he said that he learned never to trust anyone again. Even if he never trusted her again, she thought that others at least deserved a chance. Trust was something she valued, something she thought would grow in him. But instead her actions had tainted his poor heart. She could feel the pain of regret deep within her chest, and she continued to look down at the ground below, head hung low.
She didn't even notice where they were headed, however they had arrived at an abandoned house. The fae looked up to see it. Well, the boss' lair was pretty small. Or maybe perhaps this was where Felix lived? She didn't know why they were here, but she followed him anyway, not knowing about what to say about what he just said. Eriu made her way onto the front porch of the house, feet squeaking along the old wood. She curiously inspected the old rotten place, very interested by it. But perhaps her mind should be thinking of more to investigate, for this may be apart of their hide out. The door was open, and the fae poked her head inside. She thought that it might look haunted or something, but it looked relatively normal. Other than the fact that things were scattered across everywhere. It looked like someone wrecked the place. Slowly she pushed the door further open, making her way inside. She gazed around the room, all the books piled on the floor. Since when did Felix like to read? But maybe there was something here that could tell her more about the organization. Inspecting around the room, she looked in all sorts of nooks and crannies. In corners, behind some thrown furniture, and she had begun to open a few cabinet drawers. It wasn't until a few more times she did so until she opened one of the doors, a small little white bunny standing right before her eyes. What was it doing here? With sympathy she gazed upon it, trying to scoop it up with two gentle hands.
"Aww! Poor little guy," she cooed, hoping that the little rodent wouldn't get scared away. "Don't worry, everything's going to be ok." The little tiny bunny felt so soft, and if it didn't jump out of her hands she would continue to look at it in her hands below. Ah it was so cute! She would then bring it up to snuggle with her own face, nuzzling it against her cheek. Ahh! So cute! If she wanted to have a pet, then this would be it. She could give it a nice home, a little bath, lots of tiny accessories that it could wear! Eriu nearly squealed at the thought of it. But, she was here on business. And this was no place for a baby bunny.
She brought it back down, continued to cup it in both of her hands, making her way toward the door. "I'd love to give you a nice home, but I think you have to find your mama," she said, standing just outside the door and facing toward a patch of grass below. Wait minute, what if it couldn't find its mommy? What if something happened to her? Then in that case she would have to help find her! But, after she inspects the evil organization! Either way, she squatted toward the floor, delicately lowering her hands so that the bunny could go back into the wilds, if it wanted to. But it must be hungry, and that patch of grass looked quite delicious. "You're free now," she said, her face closer gazing upon it as she then smiled. It was so adorable! She petted the top of its fuzzy head before standing, although she looked down at it. "If you can't go back home then wait here," she said, body facing toward the door again. "But I have to find out what they're up to." And with that she tried to make her way back into the cabin again, although she wondered why Felix brought them here. She didn't find anything.

[attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]The fairy had nearly become nonexistent in his train of thought now. Worry was clearly written on his features the further he had drawn closer to the abandoned cabin because the smell he had picked up earlier was far stronger. Was his suspicions correct? And if they were did they find her? He moved fast and almost in a frenzied manner. Once coming upon the property and seeing the door wide open he didn’t even hesitate on further investigating the house while Eriu went off into the house. He was looking to see if he could find Larkin hoping she had found a place outside to go such as slipping through that hole he knew was how she got into the house in the first place. He looked and smelled but didn’t find any actual evidence that stated she was out there.[break] As he rounded the corner to head inside he saw Eriu with the small little rabbit in her hands taking her off into the yard. He could feel an instant relief washing over him. Breathing through his nose feeling more at ease he stepped towards the two of them. He listened as the Fae woman spoke and arched a brow a moment as she said that she was ‘free’. Technically she wasn’t at least not yet. Eyes moved up towards Eriu who was now heading his direction before moving back to the rabbit. ”Larkin you okay?” he asked her not hiding the fact now that he knew who this rabbit was from the Fairy. He stepped around her and headed towards the rabbit.
