Nico didn't really care how the merman king was percieved by others so he just shrugged, an answer on the tip of his tongue as two people approached them. He glanced at the much taller man, nodding along quietly giving the queen a barely noticeable bow. It seemed that this group of people wouldn't be too hard to convince into eating first so he glanced over to the food. There were many people milling around now and Nico was tempted to extract himself from the small group that had formed, however he felt that if he left it may become uncomfortable for everyone involved. Instead, he folded his arms around his waist loosely, a polite smile fixed on his face. He wasn't sure what to say, so just watched the others for a few moments. "Perhaps if we all go up, we won't be seen as rude? Or the other staff may start serving it?" He suggested with quiet confidence. He didn't mean to refer to himself as the staff, even though it was true but now he couldn't take back his words. Nico found that most noblemen and royalty didn't particularly like chatting with people that worked for them so he didn't usually mention it in conversation. His body language didn't change after he spoke as he gave a long glance to the expensive food on the table. |
