Magical Ability:
Fire Mastery – Ruth has the ability to wield fire in various forms, and is quite adept at it. She can summon flames of nearly any intensity, up to and including temperatures that can melt metals. Her flames come in many forms – from explosive fireballs, open streams of flames the size of her waist, to downright walls made of fire. Flames do not hurt her, magical or otherwise, but she does suffer from their secondary effects, such as smoke or lack of oxygen.
[break][break]
Earth Mastery – Her secondary element, but no less dangerous. The woman can manipulate earth as well as stone, and materials one step removed from the two, such as sand, bricks or raw ores. In general, she can fling chunks of earth or stone the size of a melon through the air, but she is capable of shifting a boulder several times bigger than herself. She can also cause minor earthquakes, enough to make a small house crumble after a few minutes of it. Additionally, she's able to sense things in and through the earth and stone, making it easy for her to locate things such as ores.
[break][break]
Appearance:
No matter where she goes, Ruth sticks out like a sore thumb. Standing at 5'7"(around 170cm), with a straight back and athletic form, the woman looks like she's always ready for war. Her amber eyes seem to burn with perpetual anger, or irritation at least, and her long dark wavy hair tends to settle slightly wildly over her shoulders, giving her a ferocious look.
[break][break]
As if that's not enough, the woman is a hybrid with clear features of being so. Upon her back she has a pair of scaly, blood-red draconic wings, whose span impressively reaches past her arms, roughly to double the length. Still, even with such size, the wings can cause a gust of wind, but cannot lift the woman off the ground. At best, she might be able to glide for short distances.
[break][break]
Aside from that, the woman has a scaly tail that ends in an arrow-point, and is roughly long enough to touch the ground. She also has scarlet scales in places, sprawling over her upper back and shoulders. The nails upon her feet and hands aren't nails per say, but moreso charcoal black claws, making her a formidable foe even with no weapons. The only sign of her elven heritage are her ears, delicately pointed and usually hiding among the wild tresses of her hair.
[break][break]
The woman is nearly always armed and armored to the teeth, with at least hard leather, and at most plated steel. She usually can't be seen without a bastard sword across her back, suitable for both one and two-handed battles. The woman sometimes also carries a medium round shield upon one arm, big enough to cover her hip to shoulder. Lastly, she has a hunting knife or two upon her person as well.
[break][break]
Ruth has seen plenty of battles, and though she occasionally goes to see a healer to remove her scars, she winds up collecting plenty in her lines of work. Most are cuts she'd suffered over the years, peppering her form here and there.
[break][break]
Personality:
Ruth is a woman that, simply put, gets things done. She is a courageous one, willful and passionate to a fault in anything she does, so much so she forgets the human element that is often involved. The woman is callous and aggressive, downright hostile without even noticing it. She breathes anger with every breath, often being so grumpy it is easy to make her set something on fire.
[break][break]
Her discipline however, does keep her in check. Ruth is a diligent worker, throwing herself into the task at hand to evade her anger. Adding to that, she has good morals and does have compassion towards others, though she lacks the capacity to show it properly. She is easily overprotective of others, especially those she deems innocent, or young people. She has a maternal instinct buried deep underneath her crude exterior, and plenty of will to throw herself into the fray to save another without thinking about it.
[break][break]
Ruth sadly, doesn't trust easily. Beyond self-reliant, she doesn't lean on others if she can help it, deeming that she should be able to carry her own weight, and much more. With that, and her being as temperamental as she is, the woman stays away from people in general, even when dangers might be easier to overcome with help.
[break][break]
History:
Ruth has had a tough life, from the very start. She wasn't a product of love, but rather a raid her dragon father had enacted upon an elven village. Nine months later, the elf didn't survive giving birth to what everybody agreed was an abomination. From very early on, Ruth was handed from one home to another, until she wound up on the streets in the middle of a war, not being even ten years old. She spent most of her time hiding or scrounging for food, before someone finally caught her. Unfortunately, it was a circus traveling troupe, and a freakish creature like her seemed like a perfect thing to display. As such, Ruth ended up displayed as an animal in a cage for a few years, until her powers finally kicked in.
[break][break]
Barely into teenagehood, Ruth set the circus ablaze, gaining her freedom by murdering a good number of people. Furious, abandoned and not having learned a thing about being civilized, the hybrid rampaged through the lands, doing as she pleased whenever her fire and earth allowed it. That lasted for about two decades, before the woman bit off more trouble than she could chew, running into an elven mage far better versed in flames than she. Ironically enough she had to be rescued, by a man who managed in the following years to teach her all about humanity.
[break][break]
As such things go, the two fell in love, married and had children, even as war rampaged all around them. Just as they prepared to flee the warzone, another trouble descended upon them. Ruth's draconic father showed up, demanding fealty from the fierce warrioress, and loyalty in the war in exchange for her and her little family's life. Having no other choice, Ruth did as he demanded, letting her family flee while she dove back into the war.
[break][break]
Her magic training skyrocketed from there, as it had to. The woman was often thrown in the midst of battle as cannon fodder. It wasn't until she learned how to mine and smith that her life began to matter more. Even so, among her peers in battle she became something of an unofficial leader, dubbed the General of the Damned. For an entire century, she helped as many as she can to survive, even if it meant just for a few days. Faces came and went, until finally the war ended, and Ruth hoped it meant freedom for all.
[break][break]
The dragon had other plans, aiming to dismantle the treaty of the ashes as soon as possible. Upon hearing that, Ruth organized all her fellow slaves and created an uprise, though it didn't seem all that impressive. Still, she armed every one of her peers personally, and led them into one last battle. Not many survived it, but in the clash of fire, earth and steel unlike anything she'd had to go through in her life, Ruth managed to kill the dragon. In one fell swoop she disintegrated his plans, all through doing what seemed impossible.
[break][break]
Finally, Ruth thought that she could hang her sword up, and lead a peaceful life. But as fate was not so kind, she kept being pulled from one trouble to another until the war veteran gave up on the thought of peace, and began wandering the world, solving one problem at a time.

Miscellaneous:
The woman owns a smithy in Emberi kingdom, though it is not officially in her name.
